JEN'S FRIEND

Cris arrived at Sam's bearing a health drink for Miss Rappaport! He
invited himself in and wanted to talk to her about Colin, but she wished
that he would drop the 'brother act'! He proceeded to question her like a
quiz show host which served no purpose! Jen wasn't talking, and wasn't at
all interested in what he had to say.

NERVOUS BREAKDOWN

Colin only wanted to explain a few things to Nora, surely she had the
time to listen! There were things she wanted to hear, things that only he
could tell her! Against her better judgment she let him in but ran for
the cordless phone, which she held in her hands during his entire visit!
He began by explaining that his divorce from Lanie hit him hard and he
had latched onto Nora. He knew that the things he gathered about Nora
weren't 'normal' and she admitted that his strange collection frightened
her.

HOSPITAL

Upon seeing Max at his bedside, Asa ordered him out! He had lied, he had
betrayed him for money! Max agreed it had been the money at first, but he
had a brain aneurysm and was dying! He wanted to leave his kids a name,
an example! Asa said if he had known what Blair was up to, he would have
taught her how to shoot properly! 

PENTHOUSE

Todd told Starr that mommy was in jail and looked around at the floor,
which was covered in gold balloons. Starr handed her a card that showed
they were a wedding night gift to Mr. Manning from Mrs. Manning! Starr
figured mommy must love daddy because why else would she send all these
balloons! Mommy didn't love Max because she wanted to marry daddy! Starr
told her father that he did having feelings, because he loved 'her'!
Mommy had been bad, and Starr was mad but she would forgive her!

JAIL

Blair told Kelly she was certain that Max had set something off in Todd.
Todd had reacted the way he always did when something hurt him, he blew
apart, he hurt people! Todd insisted he had seen something between her
and Max which Kelly assumed must have been the kiss. Kelly wondered why
Todd would believe Max over Blair, if he loved her! 

HOSPITAL

Asa wished he had finished Max off himself! Kevin and Joey weren't Asa's
blood, and Bo and Clint hadn't been there for him like Max had! Ben had
Asa's blood, but Max was the son he truly wanted and deserved! Max
admired him but Asa called him a con man! Max could have told Asa the
truth but it might have killed both of them! He asked Asa to forgive him
and make him his rightful son!

NERVOUS BREAKDOWN

Colin talked on and made Nora nervous as he moved nearer to her! She
gripped the phone tightly in her hands and told him to keep his distance
or she would phone the police! He came closer to her and raised a hand in
conversation when Lanie walked in. She held a long handled garden tool
with a hook at the end! She told him if he took one step closer to Nora,
she was going to hit him with it! He pleaded with Nora to tell Lanie they
were just talking and she had no place there, but Nora could never
forgive what he had done to her! There was nothing left for him now, but
to leave town!

PENTHOUSE

When Todd told Starr he couldn't forgive her mommy she began to pack a
bag. He would always forgive Starr, but she no longer believed in his
ability to be honest. He spoke of how he would miss her and that he loved
her and always would. He asked her not to go, and she turned, and ran
into his arms.

In Todd's mind, Blair stood on the staircase in her wedding dress. She
told him that Max meant nothing to her, and if he looked into her eyes he
could see the truth! He reached out for her but a gold balloon popped,
and broke the fantasy into pieces. He stood, and called Blair's name.

JAIL

Kelly said that she would post bail for Blair, Sam had gotten the judge
to agree to it! Blair wanted to try and find Todd so that he could save
her before it was too late! Kelly almost left her in jail, feeling that
she would be safe from Todd there, but relented in the end. 

NERVOUS BREAKDOWN

Lanie was scaring Nora, who removed the weapon from her still shaking
hands. She swore she would have hit Colin with it! She had come to warn
Nora because he had been obsessing about her, and sounded out of his
mind! When she came in and found him threatening her, it was too much!
She swore that there would be no more victims for Colin! She was going to
stop him, no matter what! She didn't trust him to leave town, he always
seemed to have one more trick up his sleeve!

FINAL MOMENTS...

Asa would not accept Max's apology and threatened to send him to prison.
Max sadly reminded him then, that he had known all about his putting the
hit out on Ben Davidson. If Asa turned him in, he would turn on Asa, and
they would both go to jail!

At the hospital, Colin used a key to open the medicine cabinet. He
retrieved several vials and remarked that it would make for a perfect
sendoff!

A lawyer walked into Todd's penthouse and said that Hank was ready to
talk if he would produce the clothes! He explained that if Todd didn't
do this now, they were going to throw the book at him. With perfect
clarity Todd understood that he must produce the clothes or he would be
the one going to prison. It was now only a matter of choice as to which
of them would serve hard time!

Max looked up in surprise to find Blair pointing a shiny silver revolver
straight at him! She asked him if anything about the scene seemed
'familiar' and her face was a mask of pure rage!
