Señora Minta’s Apt.

Roseanne pleads with Señora Minta to give her a curse to help her get back at someone who has done her wrong. Señora Minta warns her that black magic comes at a high price. Is Roseanne ready to pay? The cost will be a piece of Roseanne’s soul. Roseanne is determined to go through with it. Señora Minta is surprised to learn that Roseanne wants the curse to use on a woman – the person who will do Roseanne the most harm is a man.

Roseanne tells Señora Minta what Kelly has done to her and how it ruined her relationship with Antonio. Señora Minta warns her that Antonio is not the man who will hurt her. She “asks the bones” who will hurt Roseanne. Señora Minta can’t reveal a name, but Roseanne surmises it is RJ. Señora Minta tells Roseanne to beware of RJ – he is very dangerous because he has no one to love. Roseanne decides to put the curse on RJ instead of Kelly. Señora Minta tells her to be very sure – curses are not to be entered into lightly.

Roseanne calls Antonio for advice. He rebuffs her plea for assistance and tells her he hopes she got a good price for her soul. He hangs up on her. Roseanne is hurt and believes she has nothing else to lose if she has already sold her soul. She tells Señora Minta to give her the curse. Roseanne promises to get something of RJ’s to bring to Señora Minta and set the curse in motion.

The Break Bar

RJ taunts Will about the events of the night of Colin’s murder. RJ saw Will that night and intimates that he knows everything that happened. Will denies he was at Colin’s that night. RJ tells Will he saw him leave Colin’s house after their fight. How did the body end up in your warehouse? Will counters. RJ is amused by Will’s deflections. I had no motive, RJ brags. RJ wonders aloud if Sam will get the death penalty. Will becomes angry when RJ continues to harass him and he leaves. RJ laughs, enjoying playing mind games with young Mr. Rappaport.

RJ has flashbacks to visiting Colin in jail, trying to push him down the elevator shaft and stuffing his body in the coffin. He pours himself two shots and downs them both.

Roseanne finds RJ drowning his sorrows and she flirts with him when he refuses to give her a job. She asks him for a second chance at their friendship. RJ is suspicious. Roseanne offers to come to RJ’s house for a drink … and whatever comes next. RJ accepts her invitation.

Nora’s House

Lindsay demands to know whom Nora plans to call to testify at Sam’s trial and what she plans to ask. Lindsay specifically does not want her children called to the stand. Why is that? Nora wonders. Lindsay insists her only concern is for her children. Nora believes Lindsay is covering her own butt. Nora refuses to discuss Sam’s case with Lindsay. Lindsay fires Nora. Nora is vastly amused – Lindsay has no power to fire her. Lindsay storms off to convince Sam that firing Nora is in his best interest.

Will arrives to talk to Nora about Colin. Nora tells Will that Lindsay wants Will and Jen to stay out of it. It’s too late for that, since Colin tortured them and he and Jen hated him, Will says. Will swears that Sam did not kill Colin – he knows that for a fact. Nora is intrigued. Will pleads with Nora to get his father off. Nora begs Will to tell her who else was at Colin’s house that night. Did you kill Colin? Nora inquires. Just get Dad off, Will sputters. I need evidence, Nora declares. She pleads with Will to tell her what Sam and the rest of his family refuses to tell her.

Will wants to help his father, but he can’t bring himself to tell Nora what he knows. Nora promises him she will not steer him wrong and Will says he will tell her what she needs to know…

Llanview Jail

Ben gives Sam the lucky coin that saved his life and offers to help with Sam’s case. Sam asks Ben to keep an eye on Lindsay. Ben wonders why Sam cares what Lindsay does. Sam is only concerned about Will and Jen – Lindsay is making things worse. Ben promises to keep an eye on all of them. Sam is grateful for Ben’s support, but urges him to go home to Viki.

Ben wants to help in any way he can. Sam is confident he is in good hands with Nora as his attorney. Lindsay barges in and demands to speak with Sam. Ben leaves. Lindsay urges Sam to fire Nora as his attorney – if he cares at all about his children. Sam refuses to let Lindsay’s petty jealousies get in the way of his case. Lindsay insists that Nora will not let up until she knows the truth about the night of Colin’s murder. That’s her job, Sam insists.

Lindsay tries to convince Sam to plead temporary insanity – she’ll even testify on his behalf.  Sam is dumbfounded by Lindsay’s plan. It never works, Sam says. Lindsay insists that they could make it work. Lindsay heads off to see Rae to ask her to be Sam’s therapist. Sam tries to leave the cell with her and is stopped by the guard.

Rae’s House

Rae assures Jen that anything she “confesses” to Rae will be kept in strict confidence. Jen is desperate to tell someone what has been eating at her. Jen is very upset and Rae tells her that getting it off her chest will help. Jen isn’t sure that Rae will be able to help her – even the police don’t know the whole story.

Rae presses Jen to tell her what she held back from the police when she was being questioned. Jen maintains it’s not just about her father, it involves her whole family. Rae assures Jen that she can be trusted. Jen tells Rae how her family doesn’t want to discuss what happened the night Colin was murdered. Jen admits she was in Colin’s house the night he was killed.

Jen tells Rae ever since the night of the murder, she keeps seeing Colin getting killed over and over again. Rae is speechless after Jen’s confession. Rae promises Jen that she will help her and tells her that Lindsay is wrong for wanting Jen to keep quiet. Rae encourages Jen to go to the police – which makes Jen panic. Jen insists she can’t tell anyone what she told Rae. She swears Rae to secrecy. Rae urges Jen not to be so hard on herself and tells her to go splash some water on her face. The doorbell rings and Lindsay barges in. Rae grabs her by the arm. How dare you! Rae spits.

Llanfair Library

Asa visits Viki to talk about Ben. Viki blasts Asa for marrying Gabrielle. Why would Asa adopt Al when he has a real son he doesn’t even know? Asa maintains that Ben hates him. No wonder, you hired someone to shoot him, Viki snaps. Asa is surprised Viki knows about the hit. He tells Viki he thought Ben was going to kill Max and that’s why he ordered the hit. Asa maintains he was ill and having dreams at the time he ordered the hit.

Viki berates Asa for rubbing Renee’s face in his marriage to Gabrielle. She warns him that Gabrielle is poison and she will bring Asa to his knees. Asa swears that he and Gabrielle are really in love and he would like some peace in his twilight years. Viki doesn’t buy it for a minute. Asa defends Gabrielle and assures Viki that she has changed – he just wants a fresh start with a woman who loves him. Viki knows Asa is up to something.

Asa invites Viki and Ben to a reception at his mansion to celebrate his marriage. Ben enters and questions Asa as to why he would want them at the party. Asa says he simply would like his family to be together again – and that includes his son. He leaves. Ben is moved by Asa’s words. Viki warns him that Asa is a clever manipulator and that he probably wants something. Ben says they will find out at Asa’s party what it is that he wants.
