ONE LIFE TO LIVE RECAP FOR FRIDAY, JUNE 8, 2001

<<< BACK TO RECAPS  INDEX

  Seth, RJ and Roseanne

Seth is behind the bar at The Break Bar.  RJ has him filling in for Cris.  RJ tells him to stick with Cristian because he’s good at bringing in the college girls and maybe he can do the same.  Roseanne comes in and tells RJ that he owes her and that he should give her a job.  He tells her that he just gave the last opening to Seth and he introduces her to him.  RJ tells Roseanne to go over to the diner and maybe Carlotta will give her a job flinging flan on Friday nights if she asks nicely.  She tells him that she compromised everything for him…her job, Antonio…and for what?  He tells her…for a large amount of money, that’s what.  He asks her why she’s there and she tells him she has no job and she has no money.  He has no sympathy and then she tells him that Antonio knows that she was the mole for him at the police station.  He is furious and asks her why she told him.  She said she had no choice – that Sophia figured it out and told Kelly before she left town…and that Kelly threatened to tell Antonio if she didn’t confess herself.  RJ told her she should have just refused to do it because Kelly didn’t hold a gun to her head.  She assured RJ that Antonio did not tell Bo about him paying her to spy…that Antonio just made her quit her job and that now he won’t look at her or talk to her.  RJ told her that she dug her own grave and she better not have dug his, too.  She told RJ that Kelly is going to pay for what she did to her and so is he.  She told RJ that he’s going to be sorry and he said, “I already am…I’m here talking to you, aren’t I?”  Roseanne starts to leave and runs into Kelly.  Kelly asks her if she doing more dirty work for RJ and Roseanne tells her to shut up and that she’s going to pay.  Kelly is there to talk to RJ about a story for the Banner, but Seth puts her off, telling her that he doesn’t think RJ would want to talk to her.  Kelly gets beeped by Blair and has to leave.  RJ then tells Seth that he’s going to hear a lot of bad things about him from a lot of people, and he shouldn’t listen to them.  That’s fine with Seth…he just wants the job.

Roseanne goes to a gypsy woman, who is surprised to see Roseanne since she hasn’t seen her in a long time.  She asks Roseanne what she wants and Roseanne tells her she wants to put a curse on someone.

Kelly, Rae and Hank

Rae and Kelly are at Rae’s house.  Blair has not shown up for her therapy session and Rae is mad.  Kelly tries to make excuses for Blair, telling Rae that Blair has some very important things to do.  Rae tells her that nothing is more important than keeping an appointment with her court-appointed therapist.  Kelly tells her that Todd has gotten a judge to award him custody of Starr and Blair is out trying to find a lawyer to help her get Starr back.  Rae says that Blair still has to prove she’s fit and she has to come to therapy, because she did shoot Max and almost kill him.  Kelly tells Rae that it was all Skye’s fault for tormenting Blair and that Skye is nothing but a tramp.  Rae tells Kelly that if she doesn’t shut up about Skye, she will throw her out.  Kelly apologizes and Rae says that it’s not all Skye’s fault…that she grew up without knowing love and that’s why she is the way she is.  Kelly tells her that all Blair wants to do is make sure that Starr grows up with her mother and not like Skye.  Rae understands that.

Hank knocks on the door and wants to know if Blair showed up for her therapy session.  Rae makes all kinds of excuses, hedging around actually telling Hank that Blair is not there.  Hank knows she’s not there but Rae doesn’t invite him in and she tells him jokingly that he has trust issues and doesn’t trust her to do her job.  He tells her he’s the district attorney and it’s his job to be distrustful and she offers to give him some therapy.  They argue over whether he needs it or not and finally he realizes she’s not going to tell him if Blair is there…so he agrees to leave and tells Rae that he trusts that she’ll let him know if Blair misses a session.

Sam and Todd

Todd goes to the jail.  He sees Sam lying on the bed making notes and starts laughing hysterically at seeing Sam in jail.  He can’t believe Sam is on that side of the bars and he can’t stop laughing.  He also apologizes, laughing, for putting the funny cartoon of Sam in The Sun.  Sam tells him he doesn’t care what he prints about him and that he’s busy making notes for his defense.  Todd says he needs Sam’s legal advice.  He says he needs Sam to give him a plan to get a judge to give custody of Starr back to Blair.  He can’t even believe himself that a judge was dumb enough to give him custody.  Sam tells him he can’t help him behind bars and that he’ll give him the names of some good lawyers.  Todd is not accepting that.  He wants Sam to fix what he did.  Sam tells him that it’s his fault, that he made Blair look crazy and that’s why the judge awarded him custody of Starr.  Todd tells Sam that he only made Blair look crazy because Sam wasn’t doing a good enough job of it himself in court.  Todd tells Sam that Blair hates him and he has to fix it…but it’s for Starr’s sake.  Sam tells him that it’s not for Starr…it’s because he doesn’t want Blair to hate him and he wants his family back.  Sam tells him to just talk to Blair and give her shared custody and Todd says it’s not legal.  Sam says, no, it’s not legal, but you can make any visitation schedule you like.  Todd doesn’t want to be the one to be nice to Blair and offer that and Sam knows it’s because he can’t live with her carrying Max’s baby.  Todd wants a judge to award custody back to Blair so he doesn’t have to look like he’s being nice and doing it himself.  Sam tells him to just live with what has happened and get his family back.  Todd can’t do it.  Sam also tells him that if he goes back to court and tells a judge that he lied about Blair being crazy, then the judge can reopen Blair’s case and she can still go to jail.  Todd just says he has to make Blair stop hating him.  He said that Starr was their one connection and he screwed that up.  Todd tells Sam that he’s asking him to swallow his pride and let Blair back in his life…Sam says that exactly what he’s doing.

Todd whispers to Sam that he knows he didn’t kill Colin and that he knows who he’s covering for.

Cris, Jen, Will and Jessica

Cris and Jen are in Cris’s apartment kissing on the floor.  Things are heating up.  Downstairs, Jess and Will are arguing over Colin’s passport.  He tells her he burned it and she wants to know why he did that and why he had it.  Will just wants to forget the whole thing and he starts to kiss Jess.  She’s not interested.  He tells her he loves her and wants to make love to her.  She tells him that’s not going to solve anything…that they can make love and forget for a while, and then they’ll be right back where they started.  She is very upset and he tells her to calm down, that everything will be fine.  She says nothing is fine and he tries to come close to her and she moves away.  He tells her he just wants a chance to make things better and she tells him that making love won’t do that.  He tells her that he wants to make love to her because he loves her and for no other reason.  He says that’s all he can do to make her feel better and he wants things the way they were.  He says that what they have is real and good…isn’t it?  He tells her that she’s the only thing in his life that’s not related to the Colin mess.  He starts kissing her again and she just can’t do it.  She doesn’t want to hear that he’s protecting her…she wants the truth.  She wonders who he is and why she never gets any answers.

They hear a noise upstairs from Cris’s apartment.  Cris and Jen were on the floor and knocked a table over which made a loud noise.  They move to the couch and Jess and Will walk right in, thinking that something happened to Cris up there.  They find Jen and Cris on the couch and Will gets all excited and wants Jen out of there.  She tells him he can’t tell her what to do and Jess tells Will to stay out of it. Will refuses and tells Jen that she has no business being here with Cris when all this stuff is going on with their father.  Jen storms out and Jess stays.  Jess and Cris talk and she almost tells Cris about Will having Colin’s passport, but she stops herself.  Cris thinks that Jess believes Will killed Colin and Jess denies it.  Cris sees that she’s upset about her relationship with Will and he puts his arms around her….she stays in his arms.

Will and Jen are downstairs arguing over what happened.  Jen doesn’t know why she can’t tell Cris the truth.  Will tells her that he hasn’t even told Jess the truth and Jen asks why not.  Will says that she wouldn’t understand and that it’s too late now and that Jess is afraid of him.  Jen tells him that after what he did, Jess would be right if she didn’t understand and was afraid.  Jen tells Will that she doesn’t want to lose everything she has over what’s going on and Will says he doesn’t either…Jen tells him he already has.  Jen goes back up to see Cris and Will follows her.  They see Jess and Cris in a hug and they both leave.  Jess and Cris don’t know that Will and Jen saw them.

Will goes down to the bar and tell RJ he wants a double scotch.  RJ gives him a little lip and Will tells him he doesn’t want to be bothered.  RJ tells him that he knows his big secret and that he saw him that night.

Jen and Rae

Jen shows up at Rae’s house and tells her she needs someone to talk to and asks Rae if everything she tells her will be confidential.  Rae assures her that it will and Jen tells her she needs to make a confession.
