<<< BACK TO RECAPS  INDEX

The Palace Bar

Al enters and is greeted by Renee. He is waiting for Gabrielle and Asa. Renee warns him that being Asa’s son may be more than he had bargained for. Asa and Gabrielle enter and Asa demands to know what kind of garbage Renee is feeding Al. Renee says she is just warning Al about the pitfalls of being his son. Gabrielle pulls Asa to a table before he can respond. Gabrielle tells Al to order anything he wants from the menu.

Seth advises Al to put up the roof on his car before it rains. Al leaves. Seth thanks Renee for giving him a job. He volunteers to try to fix the lights since the electrician hasn’t shown up yet.

Gabrielle gushes to Asa about how happy Al is now that they are living with him. Asa wants to know about Gabrielle’s next move on Max. Gabrielle assures Asa she is ready and he leaves to attend to business. Al returns and Gabrielle is about to leave when she sees Max enter. Al tells her to go – he can handle Max.

Max asks Renee to help him with a room for Blair. Renee gently reminds him that he has a child right here who still needs him. Al looks away. Max taunts Al saying he is not Al’s father – he’s been replaced. Seth comes up to Renee and offers to look at the lights – Max says he will take care of it and starts to check it out when he is electrocuted. Al rushes to his aid…

In The Woods

Ben promises Viki he will not give up until she is whole again. Viki wakes and Ben comforts her. Viki is confused about what happened with Gina and is stunned to realize that Gina fell over the cliff. Viki insists she was faking the alters to convince Gina to let her go. And Crossroads? Ben asks. Viki confirms that she tried to break up with him because Gina was threatening Jessica.

Viki tells Ben everything about what happened and how she kept trying to tip him off to what was happening. I got it and I’ve been frantic to find you, Ben says. The couple reaffirm their love. An officer tells them that Gina fell into the river and they haven’t recovered a body. It’s over, Ben tells Viki.

Llanfair

Viki and Ben enter and begin to make out. They head upstairs… Ben is pouring champagne and Viki comes into the library. The two dance around the room. Later they rehash what has happened the past few weeks. Viki is grateful that Ben never gave up on her. Ben returns her bracelet to her. The phone interrupts them. It’s the police calling Ben to let him know that Sam has confessed. Viki wants to go to with Ben, but he insists she stay at home.

Ben leaves and the doorbell rings. When Viki answers it, Gabrielle is standing on her doorstep…

Sam’s House

Lindsay warns Lanie she will not get away with murder. Lanie intends to pay for what she’s done. Lindsay will see that she does, despite Sam’s confession. What confession? Lanie asks. Lanie doesn’t want to let Sam take the rap and tries to leave. Lindsay stops her – what about your other crime? Lanie says she is willing to pay for what she did to her father, but doesn’t appreciate Lindsay filling Jen’s head with lies. Lindsay says she never lied to her children. You just spin the truth, Lanie says. Lindsay offers to change her story regarding her father’s death – if Lanie agrees to her terms.

What terms? Lanie wonders. If you do as I say, you won’t have to be behind bars and maybe Bo won’t dump you, Lindsay says. Lanie tells Lindsay that the wedding is off – she gave Bo back his ring. Lindsay is amused by her news. Lindsay still wants to make a deal with her for her freedom. Lindsay tells Lanie she is still the key witness in the murder case in North Carolina. With one phone call, she could make Lanie’s problems disappear, Lindsay maintains. Lindsay’s condition is that Lanie would have to disappear too – leave town! It’s what’s best for everyone, Lindsay says. Lanie is stunned that her own sister would try to blackmail her. Lindsay tells her to think about it – but not too long. Lindsay leaves.

The Police Station

Sam enters, followed by Nora who tells him that this whole confession is wrong. Sam asks her to accept it and let it go. Bo tells his officer to take the poker down to the forensics lab and get the test results back ASAP. Sam encourages Bo to arrest him. Let’s see what the tests say, Bo suggests. Sam doesn’t want to wait and insists on being booked immediately. Bo doesn’t like being told how to do his job. Bo explains that when two people confess to the same crime, it makes both confessions suspect. Sam points out that Lanie hit Colin, but didn’t kill him. Nora pleads with him to be quiet and points out that Lanie is strong – she could have hit Colin hard enough to kill him. Nora is looking for reasonable doubt, Sam maintains. Nora begs Sam to leave something for the jury. Bo isn’t going to make any moves until he sees the results of the tests and tells Sam and Nora to wait in his office.

Sam tells Nora not to worry about him and goes into Bo’s office. Nora follows him and insists on representing him, which Sam declines. Nora thinks it’s the only way to get him to tell her what’s really going on. I’m guilty, Sam insists. Fine, we’ll start from there and build a defense, Nora says. Nora believes she has grounds for a self-defense plea since it has been well documented that Colin had threatened Sam’s family and kidnapped Nora. Sam orders Nora to stop. He doesn’t want her – or anyone else – to defend him. Nora lashes out at Sam that he isn’t the same man she remembers. Sam reminds her she doesn’t remember him. Nora berates him for using her memory lapse against her. Nora demands to know what he is hiding.

Nora recounts Sam’s story and tells him he has forgotten an important detail – Nora – she was upstairs at the time. I didn’t know, Sam insists. So you’re a cold-blooded killer? Nora muses. She doesn’t buy his story for one minute – Sam wouldn’t have covered up the murder. Nora pleads with him to tell her what is really going on.

Lindsay barges in demanding to talk to Sam. Nora tries to get rid of her, but Sam asks her to stay – and tells Nora to leave. Nora reluctantly goes. What now? Sam demands of Lindsay. Lindsay says she knows why he is doing this and insists that they talk about it. Nora watches their conversation through the window…

Asa drops by to give Bo the good news about his marriage to Gabrielle. Bo is speechless by his announcement. Lanie enters and Asa asks if they can have a joint reception for their wedding…

St. Anne’s

Todd eavesdrops on Blair and Max. Max wants to talk about their future. Blair is worried and Max tries to reassure her that he will take care of everything. Starting with where she will live – Max offers to get her a suite at the Palace. Blair is touched by Max’s kindness. Max makes it clear he is doing it for his child and not because they are getting back together. He needs to be a good father to this child after all the mistakes he has made with his other kids, Max vows.

Blair can’t bring herself to tell Max the truth about the baby after his kind words. Max heads off to set things up with Renee.

Kelly warns the head nun that Todd is not allowed to see Blair. The nun assures her that they have taken steps to prohibit Todd from entering the convent. Kelly tells the nun not to underestimate how devious Todd can be. The head nun promises to be on full alert in watching out for Todd. The nun leaves and Kelly walks into the room where Blair is. She spots Todd and thinking he is a nun, asks for his help in readying Blair’s release papers. Todd looks panicked. Kelly tricks Todd and figures out who he is. She is about to pull his habit off when Blair enters and distracts her. What’s wrong? Blair asks. Kelly covers and tells Blair to get ready to leave. Blair suspects the “nun” is Todd and insists she has a secret to tell Kelly – about Todd. Kelly tries to prevent Blair from revealing her “secret.”

Blair maneuvers herself behind Todd and tells Kelly her “secret” about Todd is that – he’s a nun! She rips Todd’s habit off. Oops! Is all Todd can manage. He sheepishly asks what gave him away. Blair asks Kelly to leave so she can talk with Todd. Todd is surprised – he thought they were through. Blair knows Todd was trying to help her. Why would I help you? Todd spits. Blair wants to know the truth about why he helped her – you tell me the truth and I’ll tell you the truth, she promises…

Line of the Day

Renee to Asa: I was telling Al here that being Asa Buchanan’s son is a full-time job with a high turnover – I mean, you get fired like Bo or terminated like Ben.
