The Cemetery

Nora hears a noise and imagines that it is Colin. A hand grabs her shoulder – it’s Bo. He came to check on her after the rotten day she had in the courtroom. Nora wants to know how he tracked her down. Bo  knows her well enough that he figured she would be in the cemetery feeling bad about what happened. Bo assures her that if she hadn’t killed Colin, he probably would have killed her. Nora smiles at Bo’s attempt to cheer her up. She isn’t totally sure that Bo is right, but she appreciates his effort.

Bo tells her a story of another woman who killed someone and beat herself up over it. Bo gently reminds her that she didn’t do anything wrong. Nora isn’t so sure, but appreciates Bo’s kind words. He tells Nora she needs to contact Sam and let him help her through her guilt. Nora isn’t sure Sam wants to be there for her. Nora’s cell phone is dead, so Bo gives her his phone and urges her to call Sam. When Nora leaves him a message, Lindsay erases it. Bo takes Nora home and she is alone waiting for Sam to call…

The Courthouse

Blair confesses to Sam that she is carrying Todd’s child. Sam thinks she should tell Todd right away and they can be a family again. Blair is convinced Todd no longer loves her. She tells Sam she has no intention of going back to Max. Blair asks him where Nora is, but he doesn’t know. Sam wants to give Nora some space – and Blair is changing the subject.

Blair rails about Todd’s selfish ways and insists she can’t afford to give him another chance – Todd would just hurt her all over again. Sam doesn’t think Todd is trying to punish Blair, but she begs him to help her keep Todd from taking the baby away from her. Sam has an idea. He tells Blair that by law, whomever she is married to at the time the baby is born is the father. Blair likes his suggestion – so all she has to do is get married? Would Sam be willing to marry her? Blair wonders.

Sam is trying to politely decline when Kelly interrupts them. Kelly implies that Sam has dumped Nora because of her confession. Sam tells Kelly he has no comment about Nora and that he was about to refuse Blair’s proposal when Kelly barged in. Blair is disappointed, but Sam tells her to go work things out with Todd. Blair thanks him for his help and Sam leaves.

Kelly demands to know why Blair was suddenly proposing to Sam. Blair tells her about Todd’s latest stunt. Kelly can’t believe Todd would keep Blair away from Starr. Blair thinks Todd blames her for Starr running away. Kelly offers to help Blair. Blair tells Kelly she has a plan and she leaves.

Sam tries to call Nora, but her phone isn’t working…

Sam’s House

Will and Lindsay are planning a barbeque to celebrate Sam’s freedom. Cris calls and asks Jen if she wants him to pick her up. Lindsay tells Jen it is “okay” if she wants to go out with Cris, but lays a guilt trip on her about the “family night” Lindsay has planned. Jen tells Cris she can’t go out.

Lindsay tells Jen that Will and Jess broke up because Jess hated her – just like Cris does. She “hopes” that Jen and Cris don’t end up like Jess and Will. Jen assures her that Cris doesn’t hate Lindsay and that they will be fine. Will returns and wants to know what they are discussing. Will doesn’t like the topic and Jen tells Lindsay to drop it.

Sam comes in and checks to see if there is a message from Nora. Lindsay greets him and tells him about the celebration the kids have planned for his homecoming. Sam heads out to see how they are doing and Lindsay goes into his briefcase and turns off his cell phone.

Sam apologizes to his family for what they have all been through. If they had talked things out, there would have been no need for him to confess and everyone would have been better off. The phone rings and Sam jumps up to get it, assuming it’s Nora. It’s Cris, calling to check on Jen.

She takes the call in her room. Will asks to spend the night and he turns in. Lindsay asks Sam if she can stay at the house as well – for old time’s sake. Sam agrees. Lindsay gives him a big hug…

Cris lets Jen here the music and “asks her to dance” over the phone. Both imagine dancing with each other. Cris tells her he can’t wait to see her.

Kortney Kayle’s Concert

Kortney dedicates a song to Jess – from a mysterious admirer. Al teases Jess about her suitor. Cris misses the concert, but he tells Seth he wants to spend the evening with Jen. Jess thinks Al is the secret admirer. Al accuses Seth of being the mystery man, but Seth denies it. Al leaves with Kortney and Seth tells Jess that if he liked a girl, she would know it. Jess leaves, promising to catch up with Seth in class.

Jess sees Cris sitting by himself and asks him how he is doing. Cris tells Jess about the “family gathering” the Rappaports are enjoying. Jess guesses Lindsay is behind it and urges Cris not to let Lindsay come between him and Jen.

Al offers to walk Jess to her car and wonders about her admirer as someone watches them…

The Country Club

Todd and Starr are discussing Max being the father of the baby Blair is carrying. Todd tries to explain it to her. Starr refuses to believe him because she detests Max. Starr tells Todd that Blair doesn’t love Max – so they can’t be having a baby together.

Viki shows up and Starr asks Viki to talk some sense into Todd. Viki sends Starr away and sits down to have a “little talk” with Todd. Viki lights into Todd about what he is doing to Blair. Todd mocks her and gives himself the speech Viki would have given him. Viki turns it around on Todd and makes fun of his penchant for using hate to push everyone away. Todd tells her to back off – he is doing what he has to do to keep Starr away from Max.

Todd tells Viki that he overheard Blair confessing that she wants Max back. Viki is dubious, but Todd is sure that he wasn’t mistaken in what he overheard. He refuses to let Blair anywhere near Starr. Viki can’t believe Blair wants to get back with Max, but doesn’t think keeping Starr away from her mother is the answer. Todd thinks it is and he leaves.

Starr comes back with a fake rat. Viki asks if it has a name. It’s Dad, Starr says. Viki asks Starr if she would like to visit her mother. Starr eagerly agrees…

The Cemetery

A mysterious person leaves flowers at Colin’s grave…

Line of the Day

Viki (imitating Todd): You can take your sunny attitude and stick it where the sun don’t shine.

Todd: You grew another alter?
