RETURN HOME

John found Rae at home upon his return from Crossroads. There were no
leads in Ben's kidnapping, but the mob was suspected of involvement. Rae
gave him the details of her visit with Skye. She realized that the visit
had been for herself and was done out of selfishness!

NEW YEAR'S EVE

Colin told Will that he had a close business relationship with his mother
and threatened to tell Will her secret!

BAYBERRY INN

Bo waited, ring in hand for an answer from Melanie to his proposal. She
whispered the word 'no' and began to cry.

PROMISE OR THREAT?

Blair was stunned that Todd wanted her to marry him! Since his behavior
had been so menacing toward her, she wanted to know what would happen if
she said no! Todd just said they would 'see' what happened if she did!

BAYBERRY INN

Bo and Melanie agreed that they were not 'one night stand' kind of
people. Bo wanted to know what was stopping her from saying yes but she
said she was confused. He questioned her love and said he would give her
time if that were what she needed. She said she loved him so much that it
was killing her!

TODD TROUBLE

Blair couldn't marry anyone; she was still married to Max! She told Todd
that she had sacrificed herself for Max and forgave him for Skye but he
couldn't forgive her for one little virus! She had asked him for a
divorce settlement and he had laughed in her face! Why would she want to
marry anyone! Todd told her that they were both the same. She had shot
her husband in the back and he had covered it up  and blamed it on her
worst enemy without her having to ask him! They understood each other,
they were alike! Blair turned her blue eyes on him and demanded to know
if he loved her!

RETURN HOME

John insisted that Skye didn't know Rae and therefore couldn't make a
proper judgment about her! Rae said she had to leave, for her daughter,
had to get away from Skye. She told John that she could never leave him
because he meant everything to her! John asked her for the name of Skye's
father! 

NEW YEAR'S EVE

Will wondered what Colin was talking about and he told Colin again, to
leave. Colin said he would wait outside. Will wanted to know the secret
and asked Lindsay, but she deflected his attention by talking about Bo
and Lanie!

BAYBERRY INN

Melanie told Bo that she loved him but his 'someone special' wasn't she!
Bo wanted to know what the problem was and asked for her trust. She sat
down and said that she would tell him the reason.

TODD TROUBLE

Todd told Blair he liked the fact that she was Starr's mother! Blair
wondered why he thought that she should love anyone! Todd told her that
he loved her and it stopped her cold!

BUCHANAN CABIN

As they cuddled before the fire, Kelly told Kevin that she couldn't get
over what she had done to Joey. Kevin brought in some more wood for the
fire and announced that he wanted to go outside! As they shivered in the
cold, Kevin led Kelly by the hand to a bubbling hot tub outside. Lit
white candles surrounded it and as they stepped into the water, snow
began to fall.

RETURN HOME

John asked if Skye's father knew about her existence and Rae said that he
didn't know a thing. She had never even told him that she was pregnant!
John said he would help Skye but he wanted to help Rae first.

NEW YEARS EVE

Jessica spoke to Renee about Lindsay's lack of honesty toward Will. She
couldn't believe that he didn't' see it for himself! She told Renee how
Lindsay had taken the check from Asa and spent it instead of giving it to
Will. Renee advised her to give them a wide berth, and allow Will to deal
with his mom unassisted!

Across the way, Lindsay told Will that Bo would be proposing to Melanie
that night!

TODD TROUBLE

Blair said that Todd's love was a lie. Todd said that she didn't see what
was right in front of her! That love wasn't real; it existed in the
imagination only! The truth was that we are alone! They were the only two
people on the planet to understand the truth! Blair saw that he was right
and he said she had better reconsider his proposal!

NEW YEAR'S EVE

Jessica thanked Will for the past year, for standing by her when she
didn't know what she wanted. He thanked her for her love and said he was
sure they had a great year ahead of them.

Lindsay handed Colin a packet of money from her purse and told him to
leave her alone. She told him that Bo and Lanie were becoming engaged and
he said he had ongoing expenses! She said he could not continue to
blackmail her forever, Melanie was starting to get suspicious! Colin told
her that Lanie had a secret concerning their dad and it was 'sick'! She
asked him what secret Lanie had, but he only smiled and wished her a
Happy New Year!

BAYBERRY INN

Melanie and Bo sat on the bed while she struggled and then lost in her
attempt to tell him the truth about what happened with her father. She
asked him to please leave, and told him that 'she' was the reason they
were not going to be together!

FINAL MOMENTS.

As the evening drew to a close, Llanview looked like this:

Kevin and Kelly laughed at the snow as they cuddled in the hot tub.

Rae took John's hand and led him up the stairs, to the bedroom.

Will and Jess rang out the old year on the dance floor.

Melanie cried as Bo walked out of the room and they stood, each with
their backs to the door.

Blair said it would serve everyone right if she married Todd, and then
agreed to do just that!
