ONE LIFE TO LIVE RECAP FOR TUESDAY, FEBRUARY 6, 2001

<<< BACK TO RECAPS  INDEX

Todd enters Dorian's in time to hear Kevin and Kelly talking about how they
involved Max in their bid to keep Blair from marrying Todd. Kelly muses
aloud about not wanting to even see Todd. "Then don't look at me," Todd
sneers, as he makes his presence known. Kevin and Kelly try to force Todd
out, but he won't budge. They inform him that they won't be coming to his
wedding and, if they have anything to say about it, Blair won't be there,
either. Todd figures out that his fiancée is in the house, and he moves
towards the stairs. Kevin stops him, but Todd insists he'll wait as long as
he has to. Kevin suggests he sit down, then, since Blair is having second
thoughts. Todd is sure that talking to him will help to calm Blair down, but
Kelly plays on his insecurities and insinuates that Blair still has feelings
for Max. Kevin counsels Todd to give Blair some space.

Upstairs, Blair mocks Max. He swears that he wants her back, but she accuses
him of lying. He insists that he can't lie to himself. He still loves her,
and he won't let her marry Todd. Max pleads with Blair to hear him out.
Blair tries to blow Max off, but he's persistent. He remarks that he doesn't
want to be there, but they always come back to each other. He admits that
reading the divorce papers gave him chills. Blair calls him on the fact that
he thinks she shot him. "Why on God's green earth would you want me back?"
Max assures Blair that he doesn't believe she could have pulled the trigger.
They've constantly tried to "out bad" each other, but he thinks they're at a
draw. It's always been a game for them, he adds, but it's no fun with Todd
is it? Blair denies that this is the case. Max counters that Todd is like a
small boy who delights in hurting things. She insists that Todd has changed.
Max blames himself for pushing her towards her ex, but he offers to protect
her. "Let me take you away from Todd," he urges, as Todd listens in from
just outside the room.

Blair admits that she once really wanted him to tell her he would love her
forever, but when the computer virus was exposed, he wouldn't give her the
time of day. He's lost his chance, she states. "I was wrong," Max declares.
"Too little, too late," is Blair's rejoinder. Todd bursts in to the room and
shoves Max aside. "It is way too late," he snarls. Blair asks Todd to get
his hands off Max. "He's still breathing," Todd retorts. Kevin and Kelly
arrive and Blair explains to Todd how she came to be at Dorian's. The
engaged duo walk out as Kevin and Kelly concede defeat. Max will do no such
thing, and promises that he'll get Blair away from Manning. Max won't
divulge his plan, but he vows that Blair will be saved.

Back downstairs, Blair tries to convince Todd that she didn't believe a word
Max said. "That's not what I saw," Todd remarks. "Don't be like this," Blair
pleads. She swears that she'll stay by his side and they'll be together
forever.

At the police station, John and Hank discuss the new 'lead' in Max's case.
Skye overhears and is quick to offer her opinion that Rae definitely had a
motive. Hank assures Ms. Chandler that the department will investigate, but
that she shouldn't put her hopes for freedom on a troubled kid like Starr.
Once Hank leaves, Skye tells John that Max plans to prove that Blair shot
him. She reveals the details to a skeptical Detective Sykes. "Are you really
that naïve?" he wonders. Skye maintains that Max will be successful, while
she'll work on Todd. John jokes that Todd, Blair, Max and Skye all change
positions so often, he needs a scorecard. Skye insists that she can handle
anything, but John warns her that Todd is "seriously damaged," and that he
observes no limits. Skye is surprised that John actually seems to care what
happens to her. He'll protect her, John vows. Skye questions the reasons for
his concern, but John is evasive. "I believe that you're innocent," is all
he'll admit. He offers her yet another warning, this time about getting
caught in the crossfire. Skye marvels at the novelty of having a guy care
about her, "no strings attached." She promises to be careful. He urges her
to call if she needs backup, for which she thanks him.

Nora opens the door to Sam. She remarks that she's glad to see him, but he
suggests that may not be the case for long. "We're gonna have a fight, and I
'm gonna win," he notes. He reiterates his previous warnings about Colin, as
he wonders how long her game has been going on. It's the only way to get
Colin to give Lindsay up, Nora insists, and it's working. Sam expresses his
fear that Colin is capable of so much worse, but Nora defends him. This sets
off alarm bells in Sam's head. He offers to be the one to get Colin to
implicate Lindsay. Nora reminds him that Will and Jen would hate him for it.
The kids will find out the truth sooner or later, Sam responds. Nora tries
again to get him to see how devastated they would be if he's the one who
traps their mom. Look at how Jen reacted to the news of Lindsay's affair
with Colin, Nora adds. She urges Sam to let her absorb Will and Jen's hatred
and blame, and she asks him to trust her to do things her way. Sam refuses
to let Nora walk into a vipers' nest. She counters that she needs Lindsay's
head on a platter, and she begs him to understand. He does, but he's scared.
Nora assures him that she has backup, but won't divulge that person's
identity. Their conversation is interrupted by the ringing of the doorbell.
It's Jessica, who needs to talk to Nora.

Sam heads out, and Jessica spills all about her fight with Will over
Lindsay. The two women discuss how good children can come from bad parents.
Nora counsels Jessica to sit back, not force the issue, and to stand by
Will. Jessica takes this advice to heart.

Across town, Lindsay comes upon Jen sitting alone on a park bench.
Wordlessly, she sits beside her daughter and gently strokes Jen's hair. A
short time later, they arrive at the gallery. Jen is cold, so Lindsay
suggests some tea. She's not interested in any "bogus mother-daughter
bonding," Jen states. Never one to give up, Lindsay wraps her coat around
her daughter, who is less than enthusiastic. She pushes her mother away,
insisting she doesn't want to stick around to hear any more of Lindsay's
lies. Lindsay responds that she can't explain what she did, but she assures
Jen that she loves both her children. It's "the purest feeling in my heart,"
she reveals. As Jen turns to go, Lindsay vows that she'll always love her.
Lindsay's words appear to move Jen, and she decides to stay and check out
her mom's art. She praises one of the pieces, observing that her mom has
gotten better. Lindsay suggests that it's because she's suffered. Another
piece catches Jen's eye. She's touched to find out that it's entitled 'Jen
away'. Her mother will have to do a sequel, Jen suggests - 'Jen home'. Both
women smile.

Colin, taken by surprise, is no match for Will, who decks his uncle. He
struggles to call the police while holding Colin down. Desperate to save his
own neck, Colin confesses that Lindsay was involved in Nora's kidnapping.
Will doesn't believe a word he's hearing, but Colin presses on, divulging
all the little details of the plot. He insists that he was about to take
Nora back to the hospital when Will locked him in the basement. He reveals
that he freed himself just in time to spot Lindsay injecting Nora with the
memory-erasing drug. He rushed to get the antidote, even though he was fully
aware that Nora might finger him for his part in the complicity if she
regained her memory. Will refuses to be swayed. "Go to hell, Colin, and
while you're there, think up a better story." "I have proof, Will.
Interested?"

Will, pointing to Colin's shrine to Nora, accuses his uncle of being as
psycho as he claims Lindsay is. He wonders why Colin didn't blow the whistle
on Lindsay when he was arrested. "And stop the money from coming?" Colin
sneers. Will is still not convinced. Colin pulls out a photocopy of a check
from Lindsay. "$200,000. Does that sum ring a bell?" Colin asks his nephew.
Will, still in denial, points out that the check is made out to cash. Of
course it was, to protect Lindsay, Colin declares. Will thinks it's a trick,
but Colin reminds Will of how much Lindsay wanted Bo, and how she was
determined not to let anything stand in her way of that goal. "Your mom is
guilty as sin," Colin smirks, as Will walks out.

Once alone, Colin gazes at one of his photos of Nora. "I don't need any of
this. I have Nora. She's mine now," he whispers.

Sam arrives at the gallery, where he's pleased to find Lindsay and Jen
bonding. He's come to apologize, he declares, and to make sure Jen knows how
happy her parents are to have her home. Sam suggests that they do a "family
thing on the town." Suddenly, the atmosphere in the room becomes tense as
Will enters. "What is it, pal? What's happened?" Sam demands to know.
