At Rae’s House

The New Year’s Eve party is at Rae’s house and Starr is trying to keep Rae from finding out that Todd is in her living room, hanging half out the window trying to get out.  Starr is carrying on about Rae telling Blair not to keep the baby.  They are on the floor and Rae is trying to calm her down when Viki and Ben come to the door, dressed for the party.  Starr throws herself at Viki telling her she needs help and Rae wants them all to go in the living room and calm down.  Starr won’t let them go in the living room and find Todd.  All of a sudden the caterers come in the door with all the food from the party and Rae asks Ben to direct them to the kitchen.  He does, and then something catches his eye in the living room.  He sees the drapes moving and sees a foot sticking out.  He goes over to the window and tickles the foot and Todd pushes the drapes aside, letting Ben see him half hanging out the window.  Ben just looks at him with a strange face and is not about to help Todd get free.  Ben sits down in a chair near the window and Todd is trying to explain what he’s doing there.  He tells Ben that Starr is upset over what Rae told Blair and Ben asks what that was.  Todd doesn’t have time for small talk and asks Ben to open the window so he can get out before anyone finds him there.  Ben stays seated in the chair, refusing to help Todd.  Finally Ben gets up to leave and Todd tells him to help him for Viki.  That finally gets to Ben and he goes to open the window and Todd falls out.

Rae, Viki and Starr are still at the front door, now joined by Ben, when Blair comes in with the baby.  She is shocked to see Starr there and then Todd pops up at the front door with his hair all messed up.  He pretends that he has just arrived and doesn’t know why Starr is there.  He says he was in the neighborhood and loves a good party.  Starr agrees.  Blair tells Rae that she has thought about what she told her and the advice she gave her about the baby, but she has decided to keep the baby and raise him.  Todd and Starr are very happy.  Todd stands with Blair and his two children and looks so happy…then he tells Viki, “Look, we’re a family.”  Viki is very happy…she tells Todd that she knew he could be happy.  Blair, Todd, Starr and the baby leave and Viki and Ben head in to start the party.  Rae gets a call from John, who was supposed to be flying in for the party, and he tells her he can’t make it at all.  We don’t hear the reason he’s not coming.

At Nora’s

RJ stops by and tells Nora he wants to retain her as his attorney.  She is skeptical about what he wants her for and he proceeds to tell her that he wants to go legitimate…that he’s opening a new bar and although it won’t make him rich very quickly to be straight, he wants to do it for Keri.  Nora tells him it’s a great idea and she accepts a dollar from him as an official retainer.   He tells her the story about the police wanting him to help put Keith away and that Keith has threatened Keri’s life.  He wants Nora to find a way to help him out of this mess.

Nora goes upstairs to get dressed for the party and Keri comes home to get ready for her date with Antonio.  She chats with RJ and he asks her if she’d like to spend New Year’s Eve with her old dad and then realizes she already has a date.  She goes upstairs to change and he leaves.  Later, Antonio comes to pick her up and is speechless at how beautiful she looks.  They kiss and he asks her to come home with him tonight.  He wants to go to sleep with her and wake up next to her in the morning.

At Cristian’s

Cris and Jen are throwing a party at their place and Lindsay is still hanging around.  Jen is very upset, thinking she’s pregnant and Lindsay keeps telling her that she will be by her side through everything.  Cris comes back and tells Lindsay that they are having a party.  He obviously wants her to leave.  She says that she doesn’t have any plans and would love to stay.  She’ll even pay for the food.  She calls Troy and tells him she can’t see him tonight because she has a chance to spend the evening with her daughter and make sure “something else” goes right.  Troy lets her off the hook and tells her to be with Jen.

At Troy’s

Sam shows up at the door with Part 2 of Matthew’s gift for Troy.  Troy wants Sam to know that Nora was there earlier so he tells Sam he’s wondering why Nora didn’t just bring the gift with her when she was there earlier.  Sam doesn’t act surprised that Nora was there…he doesn’t want Troy to get the better of him.  Troy says he wonders why Nora didn’t tell Sam she was there and Sam tells him that he knows the game he’s playing.  Troy plays dumb, but Sam tells him that he doesn’t care if Nora was there today and he doesn’t care that she was there the other day either and that he knows what Troy is up to.  He knows Troy wants Nora.  Troy says he’s being silly…he says that yes, Nora is smart and a wonderful woman….Then Sam says, “But she’s not interested in you.”  Sam tells him he can try all he likes, but he knows how Nora truly feels and she will be with him tonight.  Sam leaves and Troy is furious at him and says he’s had enough of Sam.  He calls Rae and asks her if the invitation still stand for him to come to her party.  She says of course it does and he asks who will be there.  She tells him who is coming and includes Nora and Sam and Troy is very happy and says he’ll be right over.

Back at Rae’s

Renee is at the party and then Sam walks in.  He greets Ben, Viki and Renee and is looking for Nora who hasn’t arrived yet.  All of a sudden Nora arrives, looking beautiful, and Sam goes to her.  Just then his cell phone rings and he takes the call.  It’s a young man named Moran, who is the son of one of Sam’s big clients.  He tells Sam that he was arrested for DUI and needs a lawyer.  Sam doesn’t want to leave the party, but promises Nora he’ll be back very soon.  He leaves Rae’s house and out of the bushes comes the young man who called him supposedly from the police station…with Troy, who pays him for a job well done.  It appears that Troy has set up Sam to get him away from the party and Nora.  Troy has a newspaper article in his hand and the headline reads the Sam is the attorney for the young boy’s father. 

Sam goes to the police station and ask an officer where Mr. Moran’s son is…the one who was brought in for DUI…the officer tells him that no kids have been brought in tonight.  Sam is confused.

Back at Cris’

The party is in full swing.  Chad comes by and tells Cris he wants to come because he heard that Natalie was going to be there.  Cris tells him that Jessica is coming so there is no way that Natalie will be there…but both girls show up…both wearing the necklaces Viki gave them for Christmas.  Natalie thanks Jess for letting her tag along and Jess tells her that no one should be alone on New Year’s Eve and besides, they have been getting along ok since Christmas.  Natalie agrees.  Then Shawna shows up and teases Jess and Natalie about wearing the same jewelry and being the babies switched at birth.  Jess just blows her off. 

Seth shows up and is happy to see Jess.  She goes inside the apartment and Natalie tries to talk to Seth.  He tells her again that it’s over between them and she says she knows.  Later, at the stroke of midnight, Natalie is kissing Chad to make Seth jealous.

Al is at the party and he tells Lindsay that he’s leaving in the morning.  She is shocked to hear that he’s thinking of moving away and she tells him he can’t.

Jen is still very upset and is deciding whether or not to tell Cris about being pregnant.  Lindsay is hanging on her and she’s getting tired of Lindsay being on her back.  Cris knows something is wrong and Jen asks to talk to Lindsay outside.  They go outside and Lindsay tells her she only wants to help.  Jen tells her she needs her space and that she will tell Cris the truth, but not on New Year’s Eve.  Inside the apartment, Shawna goes to throw away a soda can and finds the box from the pregnancy test in the trashcan.  She asks Cris is someone forgot to take their birth control and he takes the box thinking it’s Jen’s.  He goes outside to find Jen and Lindsay and he tells her it’s midnight.  They kiss and he asks her if she’s pregnant.

Midnight

The clock strikes midnight…everyone kisses…Ben and Viki are in a passionate kiss…Rae and Renee kiss each other, and Nora feels a hand touch her arm.  She thinks it’s Sam and turns around and it’s Troy, who moves right in and plants a big kiss on her.  Her eyes are wide open in shock.
