One Life to Live Recap for Monday, December 17, 2001

Jessica, Roxy, Greevey and Natalie

Greevey is playing with Jessica’s necklace and coming on to her saying she’s probably as sweet on the inside as she is beautiful on the outside.  She just wants to get away from him and she tries to get by him but he grabs her arm.  Natalie shoves him and Jessica gets to the other side of the room and she’s surprised that Natalie helped her.  Natalie tells Greevey to get out and stay out and he tells her that he doesn’t miss having her around any more and he hopes she’s not staying long.  Jessica asks Natalie why she helped her and Natalie says that she’d help anyone who was being annoyed by Greevey.  She tells Jessica that there have been tons of girls that Greevey has come on to and she should know.  Jessica apologizes to Natalie.  She’s sorry for the way Natalie had to grow up and Natalie tells her not to feel sorry for her because now she’s on top of the world and has everything.

Roxy comes back out and wonders why Jessica is still there.  She’s very nasty to Jessica and Jessica tells her that she doesn’t have to worry about her coming around any more.  Roxy says that suits her fine.  Jessica offers Natalie a ride and Natalie refuses, saying she got herself there and she’ll get herself back.  Jessica leaves and Roxy starts to cozy up to Natalie now that she thinks Jess has no money.  Natalie laughs at her and tells her that she’s stupid of she thinks Jessica has no money and that all she had to do was to be nice to her and maybe she would have gotten something from her.  Roxy doesn’t believe Natalie.  She says that Jessica is not a Buchanan so how could she have money and Natalie says that the Buchanans have raised and loved Jessica all these years and she will be set for life, no matter who she is.  Roxy still wants to cozy up to Natalie and offers her a Christmas present.  Natalie opens it and it turns out it’s a scarf that she had given Roxy years ago.  Natalie says she’s going to give Roxy something.  She takes out a check and hands it to her.  Roxy sees it’s a check for $350 and is furious.  Natalie tells her that’s the $300 she took when she let, plus $50 interest.  Roxy is very mad and tries to hit Natalie and Natalie grabs her and says if she ever does that again, she’ll cancel the check and Roxy will get nothing.  She is disgusted and leaves. 

Jenn and Cris

They are in Cris’ hospital room and Cris is saying that he’s happy that Jenn had Al to take care of her while he was gone and he knows they’re just friends, but he believes that Al has fallen for Jenn.  She tries to tell him they’re just friends and he says he understands.  She is getting ready to tell him about sleeping with Al and he keeps talking about how much he loves her and then he tells her that he was never unfaithful to her, that he was never with another girl while they were separated and he knows she wouldn’t do that either.  She feels she can’t tell him right then and she decides not to.  They kiss and the nurse comes in to check him out and tells him he’ll be going home today.  Jenn says she’s going to do some errands and then she’ll be back to pick him up…and then they’ll never be apart again.

Antonio comes to see Cris and tells him he’s going to New York to talk to the D.A. about his testimony against Keith.  Cris wants to go with him but he insists that Cris stay home and be happy…Cris says he will.  Cris asks how things are going with Professor Reynolds and Antonio tells him things are great.

Jenn goes to see Lindsay and asks her not to tell Cris that she slept with Al.  She says that Cris is just getting over being hurt and she’s going to tell him, but it’s just not a good time.  Lindsay tells her that when she meddled in their lives, she didn’t destroy Jenn and Cris, she destroyed her relationship with Jenn and she wants that back because she loves her.  So, she agrees not to tell Cris…and Jenn is very happy.  She gives Lindsay a big hug, but from the look on Lindsay’s face, we’re not so sure she won’t tell Cris.

Ben and Viki

Viki walks into the library and overhears Ben talking to Seth on the phone, telling him to stop calling and stay away.  Ben hangs up on him and Viki guesses who was on the phone.  Ben tells her that Seth is ruining his Christmas spirit and she tells him she’ll kiss it and make it better.  They kiss and have some very tender moments and then the subject of Natalie comes up.  Viki has Seth’s watch in her hand, saying that he must have left it there when he stayed over with Natalie.  Ben says they’ll mail it back to him if he doesn’t break it first.  Viki says that even though she told Natalie that Seth is not to come back to the house, she feels that it won’t stop Natalie from bringing him over just to torment Jessica.

Viki is sitting on the couch, frustrated over the Natalie situation and Ben comes over and says she needs to take her mind off of Natalie.  He starts to massage her shoulders and kiss her neck and tells her she needs to do something to take her mind off of Natalie.  She asks what he has in mind and he says it has to be fun, something she likes to do, and something that hopefully takes more than 3 minutes.  She laughs and mentions shopping and he tells her to guess again.  She remembers that she hasn’t even started her Christmas shopping yet and Ben asks what’s so hard about Christmas shopping.  She tells him that if he has to ask that just before Christmas, then he’s on her naughty list and he says he thinks he likes that.  She’s worried about Christmas shopping and he says that she’s so organized that he bets she has her list from last year.  She calls him a genius and finds her old list.  He asks her what she’s getting for the guy at the top of the list and she says he’s so easy.  He asks her what do you get for the guy who has everything he wants…and she say she guesses he doesn’t want anything.  He takes it right back and says that was just an expression.  She asks him if he’s thought about his Christmas shopping yet and he says, “Yeah, mentally” and she laughs.  He tells her that he wants to get something special for Renee because she probably doesn’t have much Christmas spirit with Asa gone and it’s their first Christmas as mother and son.  Viki agrees that a mother’s first Christmas with her child is something she never forgets and she adds Natalie to her list.

Later, Jess comes home and she tells Viki and Ben that she’s met Roxy.  Viki is shocked that she did that and Ben asks her how it went.  She says it was awful and that she feels sorry that Natalie had to grow up that way.  Ben excuses himself to let them talk and Jess tells Viki that she realized how lucky she is that she was raised the way she was and that she guesses that Natalie is going to stay around…and so is she.  Viki is so happy to hear that and tells Jess that she will always be her little girl and no one will ever take her place.  Jess sees Seth’s watch on the desk and asks how it got there.  Viki says Lois found it when she was cleaning.  Natalie is listening behind the door to this whole conversation and when Jess asks where the watch was found, Natalie bursts in and says it was probably found in her bed.

Keri/Antonio/RJ

Keri and Antonio are kissing on the couch and he asks her again to come to New York with him.  She says she can’t because of all the work she has to do and he accepts that.  She also tells him that an award is going to be given out for outstanding achievement in the subject she teaches and she’s submitting some of her students’ papers for the award.  She teases him, saying there’s one student that has great promise.  She has spent a lot of time with him and she leads Antonio to believe she means someone else.  He appears to get jealous until he catches on that she means him.  He is surprised that she submitted his paper and she says he deserved it because it was so good.  He thanks her and they kiss and he leaves for New York.

The whole time Keri and Antonio are having their intimate moments, RJ is outside looking in and is furious that Antonio is with his daughter.  He controls himself until Antonio leaves and then rings the bell.  He asks Keri to go out to dinner with him and she says she can’t.  He asks her about tomorrow and again she says she’s busy.  He asks if she’s avoiding him and she says it will take some time to get used to the idea that he is who he is after all the time she thought Hank was her father.  He asks her if she is refusing to go out in public with him, but she doesn’t answer and he knows that’s true.  He says it’s up to her if she wants to see him and he leaves.

Nora, Troy and Sam

Nora has the phone to her ear and Lindsay is waiting to hear what she is calling about.  Nora can’t speak and Troy keeps goading her on saying that she wants to warn Lindsay about what he’s really up to…so do it.  He keeps telling her to do it and she can’t.  Lindsay says that if she’s looking for Sam he’s not there and Nora lets her believe that’s why she called and says good-bye.  Troy is happy she didn’t tell Lindsay the truth and she realizes that he’s going to go through with trying to get Lindsay.  She asks to use his bathroom and while she’s in there, Sam comes by.  He has some papers that came to him for Will about the loft, but since the loft is now Troy’s, he’s giving him the papers.  Troy says he could have mailed them, but Sam says it was an excuse.  He tells Troy to leave Lindsay alone and Troy says it’s none of his business.  Troy tells Sam that he believes Sam doesn’t care about Lindsay; he’s there about Nora.  By this time, Nora is listening but doesn’t let Sam know she’s there.  Troy tells Sam that he and Nora are just friends and Sam doesn’t care.  He tells Troy to stay away from the people he cares about and Troy tells him that he has only helped the people he cares about.  Sam leaves and Nora comes out, mad at herself for not letting Sam know she was there.  She realizes she’s not going to convince Troy to stop what he’s doing…so she tells him to be careful and she leaves.  Troy tells himself that he’s going to get Nora what she wants.
