Llanfair

Jess and Natalie are hanging out when Seth drops by bringing flowers for Jess. When Jess goes to get a vase, Seth kisses Natalie. Natalie pulls away and tells him they can’t risk Jess seeing them. Jess returns with the flowers and asks Seth to hang out later. Jess tells Seth that Natalie is working for her mother. Seth thinks it was nice of Jess to help Natalie out. Jess asks if Seth has a friend who could double date with Natalie.

The doorbell interrupts them – it’s Will. He came by to tell Jess that he is leaving town. They reminisce about their past and Will thanks her for being his first friend in town. He apologizes for turning her life upside down, but Jess says she will never forget everything he did for her. Jess doesn’t think Will needs to leave town, but Will has to move on and he can’t do it while he is around Jess. Jess wants him to be happy, so she tries to accept his decision. They hug and Will leaves.

Seth finds Jess crying and she tells him that Will is leaving town. Seth tells a delighted Natalie. She sees this as a golden opportunity to further their plan. As they are discussing how well their plan is working, Jess returns and asks what she is talking about.

Bo’s Garrett

Lanie has another nightmare. This time Colin taunts her that Bo will never marry her. When she wakes up, Bo asks her what is wrong, but Lanie doesn’t tell him what the dream was about. He wonders what brought on the bad dreams. Lanie blames it on Troy’s appearance in their lives.

The Palace Hotel

Sam runs into Troy as he is checking out of the hotel. Sam gives him a file detailing all of Colin’s dastardly deeds. Troy gains a new insight into why everyone had good reason to hate Colin. Troy tells Sam about Nora saving his life when he fell over the railing. Sam is incredulous. Didn’t Nora tell you? Troy wonders. Funny she didn’t mention it to him, Troy assumed Nora and Sam shared everything.

Troy says if Sam is trying to rush him out of town, it’s a wasted effort – he has everything he needs from Colin’s estate. He leads Sam to believe that he is leaving town.

Llanview Hospital

Sam finds Bo and Lanie and tells them that Troy is leaving town. Lanie is relieved. Bo is about to leave when Larry comes by with news for Lanie – her clinic has received a grant to get started. The benefactor for the clinic (and newest member of the staff of Llanview hospital) is none other than Troy!

The Sun

Todd views the videotape Asa made of Max and Gabrielle’s tryst. This should come in very handy, Todd muses.

Buchanan Lodge

Gabrielle and Max wake after their passion-filled night. Max tells her that last night was a one-shot deal. Gabrielle pretends to go along with him. Now that they have done the deed, she is ready to move on with her life. Max is perplexed by her attitude. Gabrielle maintains that she is going to concentrate on Al. Max doesn’t think she should sacrifice her happiness for Al. 

Max jumps up when he realizes he is late for his meeting with Blair. Gabrielle hides her disappointment as he dresses to leave. She calls Asa to let him know her mission was successful.

Asa and Gabrielle gloat about how easy it was to fool Max. Asa asks her to show him the tape. Gabrielle says it is in the camera, but when Asa opens the camera, it’s empty!

The Palace Bar

Larry meets with Blair and urges her to tell Todd that he is the father of her baby. Blair says that it doesn’t matter because Todd has taken Starr and left town. Blair insists that she has to marry Max so that he will be the baby’s legal father and Todd can’t take the baby away from her. Larry doesn’t agree with her, but he doesn’t have time to convince her; he has to return to the hospital.

Renee drops by to help Blair with wedding plans and is stunned to find out she plans to marry Max. Blair says they are doing it to be responsible parents. Blair is frustrated that Renee doesn’t have any openings to hold her wedding at the Palace. As she is trying to find an open date, Todd shows up.

Todd goads Blair about being invited to her wedding. Blair wants to know where Starr is, but Todd refuses to tell her. Blair confronts him about leaving her lying on the floor when she was writhing in pain. Todd says she was fine with Max beside her and Blair realizes he came back to check on her. Blair is touched, but Todd downplays his actions.

Todd reminds Blair that her life is about to get much worse now that she will be stuck with Max. He insinuates that he has ‘evidence’ against Max. As he is about to show Blair the tape of Max and Gabrielle, Max shows up. Todd tells them he has a tape to show them that will really enhance their wedding plans. He pops the tape into the VCR and hits play…

Line of the Day

Todd (talking to himself): You know Max, when Blair sees this, she’s gonna shoot you again.
