The Banner

Joey and Kelly are in Kevin’s office.  Joey has just come in and asks Kelly what is wrong.  She tells him that she is fine, but he is not dissuaded, telling her that he can see that something is bothering her.  He assumes that it must be Kevin since she isn’t willing to tell him about it.  She wonders why he would say that and he backs off a bit, telling her that he is doing his best to make the divorce happen.  She thanks him.

In the hallway, Kevin runs into Lou Jacobs, who identifies himself as Joey’s lawyer and says that he is looking for him.  Kevin tells him that Joey no longer works there, but he is his brother and could maybe help.  The lawyer is reluctant to give out information, but when Kevin says that he’s not interested in particulars, he asks Kevin if he knows what Joey is thinking and if he has some kind of strategy.

Cris’s Apartment

Sophia tells Antonio that she has come by to tell him that their shift has been switched and he doesn’t have to go in to work.  She sees the look on his face and asks him if it is a bad time.  He tells her that it isn’t and invites her in, excusing the mess (that Roseanne made earlier).  He tells her that he is upset but that it’s personal stuff and she doesn’t need to hear it.  She tells him that they don’t need to have secrets, but she’ll understand if he thinks that it’s none of her business.  Antonio informs her that the problem is Roseanne; she thinks that he is using her to get over his wife.  Sophia asks Antonio if it is true.  He hesitates, saying that he has always been honest with Roseanne and she was cool with the situation.  Sophia is amazed that Antonio believed her, telling him that there is one born every minute.

The Station House

Rae is waiting for John at his desk after his hearing.  When he comes in, he goes directly into Bo’s office and she follows him in guessing that the hearing didn’t go well.  She starts to ask him if he was fired, but he interrupts, telling her that he wasn’t.  He tells her that he was suspended for two weeks without pay.  She questions how they could have made such a decision, and he retorts that they could and did.  She reiterates that John is a good cop, but he informs her that they reviewed the facts and dredged up things from his past.  She points out that they were wrong and that everyone must know that, to which he replies that ‘everyone’ wasn’t on the board.  Looking for the good in the situation, she tells John that two weeks isn’t long and the time will pass quickly, but he isn’t convinced, saying that this will go on his permanent record in big, bold letters. He tells her that he has to turn in his badge and his gun and he may as well do it now.  As he opens Bo’s strong box, he pulls out the bible page and looks at it.  His back is to Rae, who is unaware of the contents.  He scans the list of names, seeing that Gretel Rae Cummings’ daughter was adopted by Adam and Althea Chandler.

In the hallway, Skye is led to a chair and handcuffed there while she waits for her bail hearing.  She tells the officer that she is innocent, but he tells her that that’s what they all say.  Max comes around the corner and Skye is relieved, telling him that she knew he’d come and that she is being set up.  She tells him that his believing in her means everything.

Llanfair

Viki begs Ben to take Sam with him, but he will have none of it.  They are interrupted by Todd,  who bursts in wanting to know what they have done with Blair.  Everyone is a bit surprised by the visit and Todd tells them that he went to park the car and when he came back she was gone.  They tell him that they haven’t seen her and add that maybe she has just gone out shopping.  Todd finds that odd, since she took her suitcase and half her clothes with her; he is amazed that she would leave.  Ben points out that any sane woman would leave him and asks him if he has looked in a mirror lately.  Todd goes after him and a fight ensues.  Viki yells for them to stop.  As the fight breaks up, Sam wants to know why Todd thinks that they have a conspiracy against him.  Todd says that Blair needs him; they have a child together.  He adds that Blair has told him something very interesting about Ben.

Cris’s Apartment

Antonio can’t believe that Sophia has called him a sucker.  She tells him that he is, because he is blind, naïve and in denial.  He reiterates that Roseanne is cool with a casual relationship.  She tells him that women only say that because they don’t want to scare men away; they don’t really mean it.  Antonio wonders what he should do.  Sophia tells him that is tough to deal with, but he has to be fair and honest and think about himself, too.  He asks if she thinks he should break off the relationship.

RJ’s Club

Roseanne seats herself at the bar and asks Cris for a drink.  He tells her that he is not supposed to be serving yet, but she points out that there in nobody around.  He gives in and makes her a mimosa, telling her that at least she’ll get a little vitamin C, to which she replies, “Thank you, Dr. Vega.”  He asks her what’s wrong and she tells him that it is Antonio; she thought that he cared about her.  Cris points out that he is the last guy she should be talking to about a relationship and that Andy was pretty special.  She wonders what it is with the Vegas and their ‘special’ blondes.  Cris tells her that he could care less about a certain blonde that has moved in upstairs with Will.

Will’s Loft

Jessica offers to leave and let Will and his mother talk in private, but Will tells her that that isn’t necessary.  He then tells his mother to answer his question.  She tells him that the sculpture didn’t cost $200,000 and he wonders what happened to the money.  He saw Bo and wants to know why she never mentioned the money to him and where it is.  Lindsay tells him that the money is gone; she says that she didn’t think he would want it after everything Asa has done to him.  He tells her that he doesn’t, but wonders what she has done with it.  She explains that she has been having financial problems with the gallery and it has been a struggle since Dorian’s departure.  She tells him that she took the money for the gallery and asks if he is angry with her.  Will tells her that he isn’t; he thinks that it was a good way to use the money.  She is relieved, telling him that she can always count on him.  She tells the two that she needs to get going, but they have a wonderful place and she is sure they will be very happy.

After she has left, Jessica comments that $200,000 is a lot of money and Will points out that his mother needed it.  “So she says,” Jessica responds.  Will wonders if Jess is implying that his mother was lying.

The Banner

Kelly tells Joe that her being upset has nothing to do with the divorce.  He comments that the wait must be frustrating for Kevin; he is very impatient.  Kelly tells him that that isn’t true.  Joey tells her to look at Kevin’s history with women; he comes on strong and then soon moves on to the next woman.  Kelly points out that Sophia said the same thing to her and wonders if Joey put her up to it.  He tells her that he did not; he is just admitting the truth about his brother.  Kevin walks in and hears that comment, saying that Kelly knows the truth about him, but not about Joey.

The Station House

As John puts the bible page back in the box, Rae comments that the people on the board are ridiculous and should never have believed the article in The Sun.  She starts in on Skye, calling her lying and hateful.  John tells an incredulous Rae that she has to stop it and that they need to talk.  He tells her that she needs to sit down, that he has something that he needs to tell her.  She tells him that she doesn’t like the sound of things and that he is frightening her a little.  She sits down and waits for him to tell her and John begins to recount the story of Kelly and the hit man and trying to smoke him out.  He then mentions that Sophia was a decoy and visited Grace’s grave.  Rae wonders what Grace might have to do with all this and as John begins to tell her about the page an officer tells him that he must take an important call.  Rae offers to wait outside and he tells her not to go anywhere; what he has to tell her is important.  As she leaves the office she sees Skye and Max talking in the hall.

Max tells Skye that the last thing he wants to believe is that she would hurt him, but points out that they did have an argument.  She calls it a disagreement and says she was angry.  As she reaches out to touch him he pulls away and she asks if he is afraid of her and thinks she is guilty.

Cris’s Apartment

Sophia tells Antonio he needs to think about himself too; he won’t be doing Roseanne any favors if he isn’t happy himself.  It won’t do to lead her on.  Antonio agrees that he couldn’t be happy if Roseanne thought he was using her.  He thanks Sophia and she then suggests that they go check out RJ’s club since they don’t have to work; it could be a little work and a little fun.  He hesitates for a moment and then tells her to consider it a date.

Llanfair

Ben tells Todd to spit out what he knows.  Todd thinks about it for a moment and then says that Blair has told him about B&B and that she actually sold it to him.  Ben wonders if there is anything else.  Todd acts surprised and asks why, then starts to leave, saying that he’ll find Blair himself.  Sam stops him and tells him that he’ll be keeping his eye on him, because when he is upset bad things happen to good people, giving Nora and Will as examples.  After he has gone, Viki admits that that was bizarre behavior, even for Todd.  They then speculate about whether he knows that Ben is Asa’s son.

The Banner

Kelly asks what Joey is up to and he tells her that he doesn’t know what she’s talking about, saying that he has been doing everything he can to speed up the divorce.  Kevin tells them that he has just spoken with Joe’s attorney and Kelly wants to know what he had to say.  Kevin informs her that Joey told his lawyer to stall the divorce.  Joey is angry, saying that he will fire him and he shouldn’t be giving out private information.  Kelly is taken aback and can’t believe that he would do it.  He tells her that he has been lying.  She asks how he could do something like that to her and wonders if they aren’t friends.  He tells her that he is still in love with her and always will be, but she is convinced that she loves Kevin.  She tells him that she is in love with Kevin, but he argues that Kevin isn’t the right guy for her; telling her that he will cheat on her.  Kelly tells Joey that this isn’t about Kevin; it’s about him.  He explains that he is fighting for the woman he loves, but she tells him that it is too late.  Joey points out that she hasn’t slept with Kevin yet, so that must mean she is still in love with him.  She tells him that the marriage is over.

Will’s Loft

Will tells Jess that he knows his mother does crazy things and has lied to a lot of people, but she would never lie to him.  Jess says that she wishes Lindsay would have told him about the money before spending it.  He tells her that it doesn’t make a difference.  Jess didn’t see the look on his mother’s face when his father moved out, or when she was sending him off to Statesville, or when she lost Bo or the baby.  He wonders how much she can take and points out that she is completely alone.  Jess apologizes, saying that she didn’t mean to accuse Lindsay of anything and he tells her to forget about it.

Jess tells Will that she ran into Cris in the hall earlier and that he is moving in to the building.  After a moment of thought, Will proclaims that that is great.  They are together and happy and Cris can’t change that.  Jess thinks that they need to show Cris just how happy they are.

RJ’s Club

Roseanne tells Cris that seeing Will and Jessica all the time won’t be easy.  He informs her that he gave up on easy when he hurt his hand.  She adds that the injury to his hand was Sophia’s fault, but he disagrees, saying that he was driving.  He wonders why Roseanne is trashing Sophia and she admits that it’s because she is in love with Antonio.  Cris smiles, admitting that Sophia is pretty hot.  Roseanne thinks that she looks like a guy, but Cris says that she sure doesn’t kiss like one.  Roseanne can’t find anything pretty or sexy about her; she doesn’t stand a chance with Antonio.  Cris isn’t so sure about that.

The Station House

Max tells Skye that he can’t come to the hearing.  She is distraught and says that she is innocent.  She can’t believe that he would doubt her after everything.  She tells him that he never should have trusted Blair.  Max tells her that he’s got to get out of there and leaves, she begs him to stay and come to the hearing, but he doesn’t listen.

Rae approaches and asks Skye what’s wrong.  She thinks Skye must be celebrating, considering John’s suspension.  Skye tells her to get the hell away and Rae notices her tears, chiding her and asking if she is crying because Max doesn’t believe that she is innocent.  Skye tells her to shut up, but Rae continues, telling Skye that she can dish it out but can’t take it.  She admits that she just can’t figure her out; she is going down and it seems that she wants to take everyone with her.  Skye brings up Rae’s pathetic search for her child and wonders if she is going to start all over and harass some other unsuspecting fool.  Rae tells Skye that she is on her way to prison for attempted murder and wonders where her famous family is now.  John comes out of Bo’s office and tells Rae to stop it.  She turns and gives him a confused look.

The Banner

Joey tells Kelly that he loved her and she left him for Kevin, a guy willing to stab his brother in the back.  He tells them both to go to hell, saying that they have taken turns twisting the knife.  They were the two closest people in the world to him and they sold him out.  He tells Kelly that she will regret this and she replies that she already does and leaves the room.  Kevin stops and looks at Joey and then leaves as well.  As Joey leaves, he slams his hand against the door.

Llanfair

Sam says that he doesn’t like not knowing what Todd is up to and wonders why he wouldn’t use the information about Ben being Asa’s son.  Ben thinks that he might be waiting for the moment that it will do the most damage.  Viki isn’t sure, saying that it’s impossible to figure out how his mind works.  She thinks he may just have been fishing for information.  She’s still not sure about the reason for his visit, but thinks he is looking to take his anger out on someone.  Sam wonders who will pay if Todd doesn’t find Blair.

Ben tells Viki that he has to go and that he’ll be ok.  They kiss and he tells her that he loves her and she will always be in his heart.  He promises to be back as soon as he can.  Viki tells him that she loves him, too and he leaves.  Once he is gone, she admits to Sam that she is afraid for him; his enemies are dangerous and he’s going alone.  Sam admits that Todd scares him too.

The Station House

Max has left the building and is in the parking garage, where he drops his keys.  He bends down to pick them up and stands up to see Todd.

Inside, John drags an astonished Rae away from Skye, who comments that even Rae’s boyfriend thinks she is a nuisance.  Rae responds that that’s a long way from being an attempted murderer.  John pulls her into Bo’s office and closes the door.  She tells John that she is angry with Skye and that she plans to go to the hearing and talk to the judge.  John tells her to stop and she wonders what he is doing and why he is defending Skye, especially since she doesn’t deserve it.  She goes on to say that Skye deserves everything she’s going to get, when John breaks in saying, “For the love of God!  She’s your daughter!”  Rae is flabbergasted, her eyes moving from John’s face to Skye, who is still sitting in the hallway.
