Cris’s Apartment

Roseanne and Antonio are asleep in bed the morning after.  As they awaken, Antonio makes a comment about going in and taking another shower.  Roseanne protests, saying that there’s no way he’s going to get her back in there; they spent nearly two hours in there the night before.  Antonio remembers and comments that Roseanne was out of control.  She thinks that he was too; more than usual.  She wonders why.  Antonio thinks that that must be obvious, but Roseanne thinks that it might have to do with his seeing Sophia naked.

Dorian’s

Sophia enters through the unlocked front door to find Joey on the phone.  She overhears him talking to his lawyer and telling him to slow down the divorce and do whatever it takes.  He explains that he is in love with his wife and wants her back; he wants him to tie it up any way he can.  When the lawyer protests, he tells him just to do his job and keep him posted.  As Joey hangs up the phone, he looks up and sees Sophia, asking what she is doing there.   “My job,” she retorts.  Joey wonders if her job involves eavesdropping.  She tells him that she is there to watch over Kelly, but realizes that Kelly is not there.  Joey tells her that Kelly is at The Banner with Kevin.  When Sophia starts to leave, Joey asks her whether or not she is planning on telling anybody about his phone conversation.

The Banner

In Kevin’s office, Kelly and Kevin are sitting at a table talking while Charlie works on the computer system.  Kevin asks Kelly about Joey’s promise to speed up the divorce, saying he hopes that it is true, as that would enable them to get on with their lives.  Kelly agrees, saying that if he can get past his anger, they can be together in every sense of the word.  They kiss as Charlie looks on.

Kevin tells Kelly that he was thinking about her while he was in bed last night.  He wanted to go upstairs and get under the covers and make love to her all night long.  He looks up and asks Charlie how much longer he’ll be.  Charlie tells him that he’s almost done.   As he’s finishing up, he comments that he has noticed all the security and that somebody would have to be crazy to come after Kelly.

The Hospital

Renee is waiting for Rae in the corridor and picks up a copy of The Sun.  There is an article about Max on the front page and she opens the paper to look at it.  As she thumbs through, she comes to a spread showing intimate pictures of John and Rae taken the night before when they were in his apartment.   At that moment, Rae comes out of the room and Renee hides the paper.  Rae tells her that she’ll have her results in two the three weeks and then asks if they should maybe go and check on Max.  She sees the pained look on Renee’s face and asks her what the problem is, thinking that maybe Renee is upset about the DNA test and is having second thoughts.  Renee assures her that that is not the problem; it has nothing to do with Max.

Max has woken up and John, Skye, Blair, Max and Asa are all in the room. John asks him to talk to him, asking him if he knows who shot him.  Max is surprised that he was shot.  Asa tells him that he is in the hospital, but he is ok.  He’s a damn Buchanan – that’s for sure.  Skye asks him if he is really ok and wonders if he’s in a lot of pain.  When she touches him, Blair has a fit, saying that she shouldn’t even be there.  Skye retorts that it is Blair that shouldn’t be there; she is the one who shot him.

Max asks if Blair did this to him and John asks Max the same question.  Blair tells John that Max doesn’t need all of these questions; he has just regained consciousness and he needs a doctor and not an inquisition.  Max comments that he is tired and sore – sore at whoever did this to him.  John asks Max again if it was Blair that shot him.  Todd interrupts, saying that Max is drugged up, how could he even know who shot him.  An angry John tells Todd that he shouldn’t even be in the room and escorts him out.  Blair wonders why he has to go and John asks her if she has a reason for him to stay.  Max announces that he is confused and wonders what’s going on.  John explains that he was shot in the back and found in the mansion, lying in a pool of blood.  Max states that he does remember something and Blair looks worried.

The Banner

Charlie tells Kevin that he has finished and things are all set, commenting that what happened to Mrs. Carpenter was rotten.  Kevin tells him that she is ok and points out that she is Mrs. Davidson now, saying that the guy that tried to kill Ben missed his chance and isn’t going to get another one.  Charlie hopes that Kevin is right.  He leaves, saying that he has other machines to work on.

Kevin tells Kelly that they have lots of work to do.  When she agrees, he pulls her into his arms and kisses her.  The conversation then gets serious and they talk about pooling their resources and getting more information on Mr. Gray.  Kevin pulls out and FBI report which shows him to be connected to the Russo family and believed to be responsible for at least 50 murders.  Kelly is worried that now he is after her.  Kevin promises her that everything will be ok; he is there with her.

Dorian’s

Sophia tells Joey that she is on his side and asks him to talk to her.  She asks him what he is planning to do and why he is doing it behind Kelly’s back.  Joey gets defensive and comments on all of the scams she used to get him, but she reminds him that none of them worked.  She tells him that she knows how much he loves Kelly, but Kelly loves Kevin.  Joey points out that she hasn’t slept with Kevin yet, which means that he and their marriage are still important to her.  Sophia wonders if Kelly actually told him that.

Cris’s Apartment

Antonio tells her that they have already been over all this. Sophia was playing a joke.  She still wonders if two naked women in his shower is what turned him on.  He tells her that she is what turned him on.  She asks if he is bored with her.  He asks is he seems bored.  She then says that if he likes having her around, maybe she could move in with him.  Antonio it totally taken aback and says that he thought that she was happy at The Palace.  She tells him that it is a hotel, not a home and it is expensive.  He comments that she has plenty of money, but when he sees the look on her face he asks her if she does.  She tells him that she doesn’t anymore; she’s broke.  Antonio is astonished that she could spend a million dollars in less than a year.  She tells him that she has done a lot of things with the money; she paid off Carlotta’s mortgage, helped Lindsay with expenses for Will, donated $100,000 dollars to the Megan foundation and gave Cris money to go to Ireland.  Antonio is happy that she was generous, but certain that all of those things can’t add up to anywhere near a million dollars.  She admits that she spent a lot on herself; it felt good to be rich and feel important.  Antonio knows how she felt; he came from nothing, too.  He assures her that everything will be ok.  She wonders how.  She has maxed out her credit cards, can’t pay her bills and has nowhere to live.  He once told her that if she were ever in trouble he would help he.  She wonders now if he really meant that.

The Hospital

Renee hesitates, but then shows Rae the pictures in the paper, saying that it’s better if she hears it from her.  Rae is shaken and overwhelmed.  She can’t believe that Todd would take something so personal, private and intimate and put it in the paper for everyone to see.  She thinks it makes her look like a tramp and John look like a fool. When she looks at the article, she sees that Skye has written it and comments that it is her style.  She wonders how they took the pictures and why.  Renee reminds her that they weren’t doing anything wrong; they are adults.  As Rae continues reading the article, she sees that it accuses John of neglecting his duties in the investigation of the shooting.  She wonders if he isn’t allowed to have any time for himself.  Renee tries to console her, telling her that it is, after all, The Sun and people will consider the source.  Rae comments that it is a newspaper and people read it.  Just then she sees Todd in the hall and goes after him, calling out, “How dare you!”

Max tells those in his room that he remembers coming home at about 1am and pouring himself a drink.  There was a loud crack, a sound he will never forget, and then he felt a searing pain.  He didn’t know where it was coming from.  He tried to reach his back, but he must have blacked out and then he woke up in the hospital.  John asks him if he remembers seeing or hearing anything, like maybe a reflection in a window.  Max says that he is certain it was a woman.

Rae asks Todd how he could let Skye do this.  He tells her that the pictures are real and not doctored and are definitely newsworthy.  She tells him that they are an invasion of privacy and that is against the law. Todd snarls that she should sue him and storms off.  Renee comforts Rae.

John wonders how Max knew it was a woman that shot him.  Did he see her?  Max says that he just knows.  John tells him that he may remember later.  “Maybe,” Max says and looks at Blair, “or maybe you’ll just confess.”  Blair acts puzzled and says that she wouldn’t shoot him.  He states that she was out of control and tells everyone about their fight and the computer virus, adding that he told her that things were over for good.  She points out that it was a business problem, with B&B, which serves to anger Asa.  Skye adds that she thinks that Max needs his rest and Max admits that he’s feeling a bit dizzy.  John tells Max that they’ll talk later and Max asks to speak to Blair alone.  John thinks that may be a good idea and says that he’ll be waiting outside.

Rae is still following Todd as he approaches Max’s room.  Skye announces that Max is awake.  Asa tells Renee that he is weak and confused, but he is going to make it.

Rae asks John how Max is and then shows him the pictures in The Sun.  He casts an angry glance at Skye.

Todd tries to enter Max’s room, but Asa won’t let him past.  Inside, Max tells Blair it is just the two of them now and he wants to know if she shot him.

Cris’s Apartment

Roseanne tells Antonio that she knows that they went through this before, but they are closer now.  He tells her that he doesn’t know what to say.  He likes spending time together, but it is Cris’s place.  Roseanne doesn’t think that Cris is the problem.  Antonio agrees, saying that it is a big step and he doesn’t know if he can handle it.  It takes him back to living with Andy; she burned him and it is fresh.  He can still feel it.  Roseanne promises that she would never do anything like that to him.  He tells her that it is not about Andy; it is about what he can handle.  He offers to help, saying he’ll call his mother.  If Roseanne needs to stay there for the night, that is fine.  She asks him if his answer if definitely “No” and he says that he has to think about it.  He then goes to take a shower.

Dorian’s

Sophia tells Joey that he is setting himself up.  Joey says that Kelly thinks she’s in love with Kevin.  Sophia reiterates that she is.  Joey argues that there is a part of her that still loves him. Sophia points out that maybe Kelly just thinks that it is morally wrong to sleep with Kevin while she is still married.  Joey tells her that this may be his last chance t get her back; he has decided that he is going to fight for her.  Sophia tells him that he is going to regret this, but he argues that he’ll regret it more if he doesn’t take his chance and try to get her back.  Sophia tells him that she doesn’t want to see him get hurt any worse than he has been.

The Banner

Kevin and Kelly continue to discuss Mr. Gray.  Kevin feels like they have to get inside his head and try to figure out his next move.  Kelly knows that his next move will be to find her and kill her.  Kevin doesn’t understand how.  She is under protection 24/7; he can’t get close to her and everyone has seen his picture.  He wonders what he’ll try to do.  Kevin thinks that he’ll try to get out of town, but Kelly adds that he might try a disguise.  He could change his appearance.

The Hospital

John asks Skye what the hell she put in the paper.  She tells him that it is the truth, to which he responds that it is lies and innuendos.  He knows that she gets off on trashing people.  Skye tells him that she knows what she sees and he tells her that he expects to see a retraction tomorrow.  When she tells him that he can forget it, he warns he that she doesn’t want him as an enemy, not now or ever.  She has made a mistake and will regret it.

In Max’s room, Blair tells him that she had saved him from Asa.  He tells her that she saved herself; she was up to her neck in it, too, and she lied to him about wanting a reconciliation.  He asks her again if she shot him and she tells him that she didn’t.  Max tells her to get out and get as far away from him as humanly possible.  He tells her that she betrayed him and blew his life apart.  She wonders who betrayed who; he went running to Skye.  At that point, John, who has been standing in the doorway points out that Blair told him that she didn’t see Skye and Max together.  She tells him that it was too personal.  John wonders if she has told him any other lies.  Max asks what else she is lying about.

At that moment, an alarm goes off and a nurse comes in and tells them that they have to evacuate and take the stairs.  As Blair is standing in the hallway, Todd finds her and pulls her into the storage room.  He tells her that that was close.  She can’t believe he pulled the fire alarm, but he tells her that he had to do something.  She slides down the wall to the floor, holding her head and saying that she can’t take it anymore; she needs to confess.

Cris’s Apartment

There is a knock at the door and Roseanne answers to find Sophia, asking her what she wants.  Sophia tells her that she is looking for her partner.  Roseanne quips that he is gone and she has missed her chance in she shower with him.  She warns Sophia that if she ever tries anything like that again, she’ll have trouble.  Sophia tells her to try it; she is, after all a cop.  Roseanne criticizes Sophia, calling her pathetic; she humiliated herself and Antonio said she was a joke.  Sophia thinks that Antonio might have said that it was a joke, but he looked and liked what he saw; it was hard to miss.  Roseanne calls her ridiculous and disgusting. She tells Roseanne that she must be scared; she’s not so sure of Antonio anymore.  Roseanne tells her to get lost.

The Banner

Kevin and Kelly discuss a computer programs that can scan a photo and show different variations.  Kevin is sure that Brooks knows something about that and says that he’s going to find him.  He asks Kelly if she’ll be ok.  The phone rings and she talks to her lawyer, who informs that the divorce hearing has been cancelled.  She picks up the file on Mr. Gray and is reading it when someone comes up behind her and frightens her.  It is Joey.  He tells her that he didn’t mean to frighten her.  She explains that she was reading the FBI file on Gray and that he has killed a lot of people, which makes her nervous.  Joey tells her that she doesn’t need to worry; he won’t let anything happen to her.

Kelly then asks him what happened with the hearing.  He lies, telling her that he doesn’t  know.  His lawyer called him too and said that there was a problem.  He is sorry.  She tells him that it is ok; there isn’t a big rush.

The Carriage House

Sophia comes back to the carriage house to find Antonio there waiting for her.  She tells him that she went by his place to pick him up.  He says that Joe let him in before he left.  She comments that they think alike.  As they stand there talking, Antonio envisions Sophia naked.

The Hospital

Rae is standing in the hall outside Max’s room, looking in on Max, Renee and Asa.  John is on his cell phone nearby.  She goes over and realizes that he is talking to Bo.  He hangs up, telling Bo that he’ll be right there.  She asks if Bo is upset about the article.  He says that they’ll work things out.  She apologizes, saying that the whole thing is her fault.  He gives her a look, telling her that he can’t argue with her there; she drives him crazy.  “I do?” she asks.  “You do!” he smiles.  He tells her that it is not her fault or her responsibility, saying that it falls in the lousy lap of Skye Chandler.  He leaves, telling her he’ll see her later.

After he has left, Rae sees Skye in the hall and grabs her arm, telling her that she isn’t through with her yet.

In the storage room, Todd tells Blair that confessing is the last thing she needs to do.  She warns that John in onto her and she risks jail and losing Starr and going crazy.  Todd tells her to get a grip.  She tries to run out of the room, but Todd stops her and puts his hand over her mouth.  She realizes how upset Todd is and starts to ask him about it, but he tells her that he has to go.
