<<< BACK TO RECAPS  INDEX

It is Thanksgiving Day in Llanview

The Country Club

Sophia sits at a table by herself, daydreaming about Antonio.  Roseanne enters and sees her.  She approaches the table and realizes that Sophia is pining for Antonio and tells her to give it up.  Antonio is with her now.

The Station House

Detective Sykes is up to his elbows with work.  He finishes up a phone call and someone sticks a paper bag under his nose.  Without looking up, he states that he doesn’t have the time right now.   His head pops up, however, when he hears Rae’s voice telling him that maybe he’d better make the time.

The Country Club

Lindsay has arrived before Nora and is surveying the set-up for their Thanksgiving dinner.  She sees that Nora has seated Bo between Lanie and herself, which annoys her, so she rearranges things.

Sam’s Place

Sam and Nora have shared a Thanksgiving dinner with Matthew, and he thanks her for letting him put Matthew to bed.  Nora tells him that she is angry about all of the precious moments that she has missed with Matthew:  all of the hugs and toothless grins that she can’t remember.  Sam is sympathetic, but worried about her plans for the evening.  She asks if he expects her to walk away from this and not make Lindsay pay for what she has done.  When he tells her no, she asks him to tell her everything she needs to know to get through the night.

Llanfair

Viki and Ben reaffirm their love for each other:  he for his “Blondie” and she for the “Bartender”.  He tells her that nobody will ever take her away from him.

The doorbell rings and Kelly, Joey and Kevin arrive.  When Viki is in another room, Kevin asks Ben how his mother is doing.  Ben tells him that things are great and Kevin wants to know why there is a “flat foot” outside.  He wonders if Ben thinks that things aren’t over.  Ben tells him that he’s not willing to take any chances.

Joey offers Kelly a club soda with a twist, assuming that that is something that hasn’t changed in her life.  She thanks him and tells him that it hasn’t.

Jessica tells Kevin that she won’t be fighting with him for the drumstick this year.  She’ll be having dinner with Will’s family.  So it will be his by default.  Viki offers to save her some stuffing, but Jess announces that she won’t be home, if fact, she’s not coming home anymore.  She plans to live with Will.  Viki is visibly shaken, but makes no comment.  Jess asks her if she isn’t planning a lecture, but Viki tells her that she has probably had enough of those for a lifetime.  Instead, she has her love and all of her good wishes that all of her dreams come true.

Ben offers to go in the kitchen and check on the bird, but Viki’s children think that he might need some help.  When Viki goes after him, he asks if she is really “ok” with Jessica’s decision.  She is emotional, but tells him that she has to realize that Jessica is a grown up and can do what she pleases.  He wonders, too, if maybe Viki isn’t somewhat relieved that Jessica will be out of the house and away from danger.  She tells him that she wants to believe that the danger is past and the people she loves are safe.  Ben assures her that he will make sure that they are, and the two share a kiss.  Viki notices that Ben is carrying a gun and asks if that is necessary to keep them safe.

Cris’s Apartment

Cris is asking RJ for details regarding the job that he offered him earlier. RJ wonders about his sudden change of heart.  He tells him that the job won’t lead him to a life of crime; it’s a straight job.  Cris tells him that as long as the pay is good, he has nothing against a straight job.  RJ tells Cris that he wants him to run his new bar.  Cris doesn’t know if he wants to be a bartender, but RJ tells him that there would be management involved, and that he is an excellent teacher.  Cris wonders when he can start.  Antonio comes in and throws RJ out.  When RJ tells him that he is there on business, Antonio tells him that his business is over and to get out.  After RJ has left, Cris tells Antonio to back off; RJ was giving him a job.

The Station House

Rae tells John that she is wondering if they could take care of that “rain check” tonight, that is if he’s not planning on burning the midnight oil at work.  He gives her a look and tells her that he is planning on winding up in a hurry.  He stands up and pulls his keys out of his pocket, telling her that maybe she could wait for him at his place.  She agrees that she could do that.  He thinks that is a good idea and gives her the key.

Sam is with Bo is his office.  He has come to invite him to Nora’s Thanksgiving dinner.  Bo declines the offer and Sam points out that Nora, Lindsay and Lanie will all be there together and it could prove to be an interesting evening.  Bo wonders what’s up and Sam reminds him that Nora is still searching for answers to her kidnapping.  Bo tells him that everyone is and wonders what Nora is planning.  Sam tells him that he’ll have to show up to find out the answers.

The Country Club

Nora comes in and finds Lindsay.  She comments on how festive things look and then notices the switched nametags and rearranges them, telling Lindsay that she is a hostess and must be seated at the head of the table.  She tells her that this will be the best Thanksgiving ever and the two hug.

Llanfair

Ben tells Viki that he’s not going to take any chances with her or her family; he has to be prepared.  She tells him that she hates guns and guards and the fact that someone is after him.  She tells him that she needs him and wants to grow old with him. He reminds her that she has got him and the two go back into the study.  The guests ask about the turkey, and they have to admit that they never made it to the kitchen.  Kevin thinks they might have to call for take-out and Ben threatens him with the gizzard.

Ben is told that the newest groom must make a toast.  He says that he has a lot to be thankful for, so it may be a long one.  He starts by thanking a certain blonde that came into a certain bar and ordered a dry martini to salute a fallen friend, saying that he knew then that he had to have her in his life.  He continues, saying that he owes everything he has to her.  He toasts his bride for following her heart ad taking a chance.

Cris’s Apartment

Antonio tells Cris that whatever the job is, it can’t be good.  Cris tells him that it is legit.  Antonio reminds his that nothing that RJ does is legitimate.  Cris points out that there aren’t too many jobs out there for one-armed art students these days.  Antonio says that the doctor said it would heal, but Cris stops him, reminding him that that was before he injured it further.  Antonio tells him that he can’t walk away from the thing that is most important to him in life, but Cris just tells him to watch.

The Country Club

Roseanne tells Sophia that she is just trying to keep her from getting hurt.  Sophia wonders if maybe Roseanne is jealous of all of the time she spends with Antonio.  Roseanne denies that, saying that Sophia is not competition; Antonio doesn’t even think of her as a woman.  She is just one of the guys.

Sam arrives at the table, saying that Bo can’t make it.  Nora says that Will and Jessica will be a bit late and proposes a toast.  She tells Hank, Lindsay, Sam and Melanie that she is grateful that they are all present.  She wants to make new memories with people who are important to her.  At this point, Bo arrives and sits down next to Melanie.  Nora continues, and says that she wants to count her blessings.  She needs to start with Matthew and Rachel; she then moves on to her friends:  those who never gave up hope, those who were part of her life and will continue to be a part of her life and new friends who are helping her more than they know.

Sam asks if Nora isn’t going to share her good news.  She acts a bit embarrassed and says that she thought that she would wait until she knew more.  Sam tells everyone that Larry has decided to give Nora a second does of L-aspernine.  Lindsay wonders if that isn’t dangerous, but Sam says that the doctor thinks it’s safe and that Nora should get all of her memories back.  Nora explains that Larry has already given her another shot.  She got it before coming to dinner.  Sam announces that her memories could be coming back at any moment and this is a Thanksgiving to be thankful for.

John’s Apartment

John opens his door to find Rae waiting for him.  They greet one another from across the room and she walks to the table and picks up a bowl full of chocolate dipped cherries, offering them to him.  He drinks her in with his eyes and tells her that he’d rather skip dessert, drawing her into his arms and kissing her.

The Country Club

Roseanne comes over to find Antonio and Cris seated at a table and joins them, saying she is glad that they could make it.  She wouldn’t want to spend Thanksgiving without Antonio.  He tells her that he is glad to be there and she looks great.  He glances across the room and sees that Sophia is alone, he asks if they mind if she joins them.  Both Cris and Roseanne say that they don’t.

Antonio greets his partner, asking if she is meeting someone.  She tells him she is doing a solo act, and he asks her to join his table.  She wants to know if he is sure that she wouldn’t be a fifth wheel, and he tells her that is was a unanimous decision.  She asks him if he would have noticed her if the place had been more crowded.  When Antonio doesn’t seem to understand, she asks if he would think that she was hot.  He tells her that she is asking the wrong guy that question.  He is her partner.  She asks if he sees her as one of the guys and he says that he “kind of” does.

Hank wants to know when Larry made the decision about the drug.  Nora tells him that they have been talking about it for a while, but she didn’t want to tell anyone, because she didn’t want them to try and talk her out of it.

Will and Jess arrive and Melanie tells them that Nora has the chance to recover her memory.  Lindsay asks if she has remembered anything and Nora tells her that the drug hasn’t had time to work yet.

Bo tells Melanie that he has missed her.  She says that she has missed him, too.  Nora drops her glass, looking shocked.  She is remembering something.  She says that she couldn’t feed herself.  Hank wants to know when.  She tells him that she doesn’t know.  Hank asks if she saw a doctor.  She says that the man said he was a doctor.  Hank asks her who it was.  She answers that it was Colin. He was taking care of her in a Victorian room.  Lindsay points out that a lot of people have described that room.  Nora continues that she remembers a sculpture, a figurine with two little blonde girls.  Melanie tells Nora that that was her room.  Of course, Nora remembers, she saw a picture of Melanie there, too.  She points at Lindsay and says that she saw her there, too.

Llanfair

Viki asks Kevin how things are working out with the three of them at Dorian’s.  Kevin tells her that things are ok.  She is concerned about all of them living together.  Kevin understands, but says he thinks it is bringing them closer together.  They have a common bond, which is keeping Kelly safe.

The doorbell rings and Ben goes to answer it.  He finds a box with a dead fish and a threatening note inside, telling him that the next time they won’t miss.  Kevin comes out, sees the fish and asks Ben if he knows who it was.  He does not, but asks Kevin not to say anything to his mother.  He doesn’t want to spoil her holiday.  Ben takes the fish away and Kelly comes out to find Kevin.  He tells her that he has been waiting for her.

In the study Viki asks Joey about the situation at Dorian’s.  He tells her that there are not problems.  She says that she heard the same story from Kevin, but she wants his point of view.  She tells him that she knows he is acting fine, but he has always hated losing, even as a child.  He was never able to just shake off a loss.  He tells her that this is life, not some board game, and he doesn’t intend to lose Kelly to the mob or anything else.

The Country Club

Cris inadvertently spills his wine all over Antonio then storms away.  Roseanne goes to get something to clean things up, while Sophia tells him to use salt.  He tells her that he would have to roll in it from head to foot.  He decides to go home and change and asks Sophia to tell Roseanne.

Nora continues her story.  She describes being carried upstairs and put into bed, giving the details of the bedroom.  She talks about Colin bringing her food and tending to her: giving her injections, pills, etc.  She says that she sometimes heard other people there talking when she was alone up in the room and she heard Lindsay.  Lindsay admits to having been there, saying that she had admitted it before.  Nora goes further, to say that she saw Lindsay in the room she was in.  Lindsay denies that vehemently, saying that she never knew that Nora was there.

Bo asks Nora if she remembers anything else: something that other people might not knew about.  She asks Bo if he doesn’t believe her, but he tells her that he is just thinking like a cop.  He tells Nora that she needs to think like a lawyer, too.  She says that she doesn’t care; Lindsay was there.  At this point, Lindsay starts in, saying that Nora saw her there, but it wasn’t upstairs.  She says that after Will found her he carried her downstairs and called her to ask for her help.  Will starts to protest, but Lindsay silences him.  Lindsay continues her story, asking Nora if she remembers her admitting to conspiring with Colin.  Nora hesitates and then says that she does.  Lindsay finds that funny, as none of it really happened.  Will wants to know what’s going on and Lindsay accuses Nora of lying and making the whole thing up.  Nora tries to cover, saying she was confused.  Lindsay is sure that Nora knew exactly what she was doing; she was lying through her teeth and trying to trap her.  Will asks his father if he was in on this, too.

RJ’s Club

Cris seeks out RJ, telling him that he wants to talk to him about the job offer.  They make a deal and Cris tells him that he wants to start right away.  RJ wonders where Sophia and Antonio are.

Cris’s Apartment

Antonio is in the shower, cleaning up after the incident with the wine.  He has his back to the curtain, where a nude Sophia appears, holding a rose.  She smiles and gently runs it across his shoulder.  He smiles and turns, expecting to find Roseanne but sees Sophia instead.

John’s Apartment

John and Rae sit kissing on the couch in front of a roaring fire.  They slowly begin to undress one another, when John stops to take Rae’s face in his hands and tell her how beautiful she is.  He tells her that nothing will stop them this time.  As he kisses her again, we see that someone is watching them through a camera lens.

Llanfair

Kelly, Joey and Kevin are leaving Llanfair and Viki sees them to the door.  As she is standing at the bottom of the stairs, Ben comes down with an overnight bag and wearing his coat.  She asks him what is going on and he tells her that he is leaving her.

The Country Club

Will looks at Nora and his father, telling them that their behavior was “low”; he and Jessica leave.  Hank gets up to leave as well, telling Nora to call him if she needs him.  Melanie gets up to leave, too and offers Lindsay a ride.  She declines, saying that she has a few things that she wants to say to Nora.  Bo tells Nora that he sees that she is still doing things her own way and then asks Sam what he was thinking.  The two men leave, as well.

Lindsay tells Nora that it was a nice try.  Nora tells her that she in onto her.  Lindsay tells her that she is much smarter than she is, which isn’t difficult, since she only has half a brain.  A furious Nora knocks the table over, spilling all of the dishes onto the ground, then goes after Lindsay.
