<<< BACK TO RECAPS  INDEX

The Storeroom

Blair continues to knock at the door while Todd watches.  She looks at the clock and sees that it is now 4:00.  Todd teases that time flies when you are completely out of your mind.  Blair asserts that she is finally getting a life and she doesn’t plan on letting Todd ruin it.  He tells her that she has already ruined her life; she’s living in the same house as Asa Buchanan and Max moved his red-haired lover into the room next door.  When Blair retorts that Max is over Skye, Todd wonders why he is still sniffing around her.  She points out that Max is a normal, healthy man and is worth ten of him, then brings up his father and his past.

The Mansion

Asa is in his office, slinging Starr’s toys off of his desk as Max enters.  Max promises to keep Starr out of Asa’s office then asks if he has seen Blair.  When Asa quips that he doesn’t keep tabs on her, Max asks what’s really wrong.  He explains that Will will be sent to prison at midnight and Nora came by to see him, saying that a real Buchanan wouldn’t let such a thing happen.  Max disagrees and tells Asa not to get soft.  Asa points out that grieving for the loss of Nora and then getting her back has changed things.  At that point, Viki walks in.  She blasts Asa, telling him that at this point there is no hope left for him.

The Station House

In the holding cell, Ben joins Will and Jessica, asking if Will needs anything.  Will is just glad to have him there.  Jessica asks about her mother, and Ben reports that she has stopped to see someone.  Jessica guesses that it is Asa, and says that it won’t work.  Lindsay comes down, as well, and hugs Will.  He tells her that they are back at the point where they started and she says that he doesn’t belong there.  She complains that Nora is willing to ruin his life, but Will tells her that he advised Bo not to take the deal.   She says that Nora is alive, free and with her children, why should she care if Colin goes free.

In his office, Bo realizes that Nora is a bit shaken, and asks if she is ok.  She asks about Sam and when Bo tells her that he is in court, she tells Bo that he needs to find him and Hank and get them there immediately.  There isn’t much time.

The Storeroom

Blair apologizes for her attack on Todd.  He tells her that what she said is all true.  She recants, saying that she has seen the other side of Todd and so has Starr.  She knows that he loves his daughter and for some crazy reason he still cares about her.  She tells Todd that they aren’t together anymore; he can no longer control her.  She asks him, again, to open the door.  At this point Todd asks her what it is that she and Max have on Ben and better, yet, what he has on them.  Blair acts surprised, saying that she hardly knows him.  Todd knows that she is lying and points out that both she and Max freak out whenever he mentions Ben’s name.  Todd promises Blair that he will let her out if she gives him the information, so Blair agrees, saying that she and Max are space aliens and Ben knows it.

The Station House

Ben wonders why Lindsay is so eager to have the man who hurt Nora get away with it.  Is it because she hates Nora that much?  Lindsay points out that in seven hours Will will be leaving for Statesville and asks Ben why he isn’t doing something about it.  She says that she can’t stand there and do nothing and leaves to find Bo.  Will tries to stop her, but Jessica makes him see that Lindsay is doing what she has to do; she is his mother.

The Mansion

Viki tells Asa that history is repeating itself with Will and Jessica tonight, but this time Jess won’t be able to help will.  All she can do is watch the clock and hate her grandfather and the fact that she is a Buchanan.  Viki points out that she is trying to save Asa from his worst enemy:  himself.  He can stop all of this if he wants to.  Asa reminds Viki that he is not good at noble gestures, and she tells him to do this so he can get what he wants.  He can have his family back.  She leaves Asa to think about what she has said.

The Station House

Nora, Sam, Bo and Hank are all in Bo’s office.  She tells the men that she wants them to give Colin immunity; it is the right thing to do.  Hank reminds Nora that this was a very serious crime; it wouldn’t be right to let Colin go.  She tells him that sometimes the world isn’t just and it isn’t fair to send an innocent person to prison either.  Sam tells Nora that he knows what this is costing her and he will never forget it.  Bo tells Nora that he cannot do this.  Colin is dangerous and can’t be released.

Melanie is waiting outside Bo’s office.  Lindsay attempts to go in, but Melanie stops her, telling her that Nora is talking to them about something important.  Lindsay quips that she is probably in there scoring points with Bo, but Melanie lets her know that Nora fighting for Will.

Bo repeats that he is appalled by the idea of setting Colin free.  Nora is sure that he can live with it if she can.  She asks what would be a greater miscarriage of justice, telling Bo that he knows what is on the tape.  Will’s life is just beginning.  Bo says that he will do his best to get a confession out of Asa, but he doesn’t want to have to use the tape; MacIver can’t walk.  Nora says that she couldn’t live with herself if Will went to prison. Hank thinks that Nora is making sense.  Everyone knows that Asa has had a hand in this and Will doesn’t deserve to go to prison.  Bo thinks that Colin is dangerous and might try to hurt Nora again.  Nora thanks him, but says she will be careful; she doesn’t want to be safe at Will’s expense.

The Station House

Viki arrives and Jess asks her if she got through to Asa.  She admits that she doesn’t think so.  Will asks Jess if she is hungry and asks Ben to take her upstairs.  Reluctantly, she agrees, saying she will be right back.  Will tells Viki that he doesn’t want Jessica to wait for him.  Viki thinks that it will be hard to stop her.  He points out that he wants her to have a life and to be happy.  Viki reminds him that she cannot tell Jessica what to do; she knows her own mind and her heart, but she and Ben will be there for her and for him too.  Will thanks Viki and they embrace.

Colin arrives in the squad room, pointing out that Melanie is never too far from Bo.  She is angry that he has lied to her again and tells him that she will do all she can to see that his medical privileges are revoked, along with his license.  Making sure that no one can hear, Lindsay threatens Colin not to mention her name or he is dead.  He thinks it might be worth the risk; she would have to find him to kill him.  John comes in and takes Colin and his attorney into Bo’s office.

After the door has been closed, Colin guesses that they are willing to give him full immunity.  Hank says that they are on two conditions:  Colin must turn the tape over to him and must give a full statement.  Colin agrees and Bo adds that a false or incomplete statement nullifies the deal.  Colin is sworn in and John records the pertinent information, placing the tape recorder before Colin.

Hank asks if Colin kidnapped Nora and held her prisoner in his home.  Colin answers that he did, stating that in the beginning she was unconscious and he did not know who she was.  Hank asks if Colin continued to hold Nora later, even after he knew who she was and Colin, again, says that he did.  He adds that for the record he did not give her any drug to affect her memory and doesn’t know who did.  At this point, an angry Bo says that the deal is off.  Sam wants to know why Colin is covering for Lindsay.  Colin points out that Lindsay is the mother of two of Sam’s children and asks why he is so vindictive.  Sam says that he wants justice.

Bo tells Colin that if he tells them the truth he will walk out a free man.  He then asks Colin if Lindsay was involved.  Colin says that she had nothing to do with anything that happened.  Hank asks Colin why he stole the antidote.  He explains that he didn’t steal it; he took it without signing it out.  It was necessary for him to use all of his skills to treat Nora and later it became apparent that she had lost years of her memory.  He hoped that the antidote would help.  Bo accuses Colin of lying; Larry said that there was no physical damage to Nora’s brain.  Sam adds that when Nora saw Will she was fine.  Nora asks why Colin wanted to rob her of her memory.  Colin swears that he didn’t; he would never do anything to harm Nora.  Colin states that Will must have seen Nora when she was having a good spell.  She had bad periods that got worse.  Bo asks Colin about his motive.  He says that when he started caring for Nora he was amazed with her will to live and her inner strength.  He wanted to help her recover completely.  After he learned who she was, too much time had passed and he couldn’t explain things.  He wasn’t thinking clearly; he had lost Melanie and caring for Nora gave his life meaning.  Sam doesn’t buy it, telling Colin that it is all hogwash; he kidnapped his patient.  Hank isn’t sure that this qualifies as a full confession, but Colin tells them that it is the truth. He wonders if they want the tape or not.

The Mansion

Asa is trying to make a decision about what to do.  He wonders about the right thing, the strong thing.  He points out that Max had tried to convince him to give the kid a break.  Max says that he was wrong, Asa was right all along.  He loves Asa and Asa could end up in jail over this.  If he has to choose between his family and the RappaDavidsons, he chooses his family. He warns Asa not to give them anything to use against him.  Asa leaves, stating that he needs more bourbon.

Starr comes into the room and Max reminds her that she is not supposed to be playing there.  She tells him that she is not playing; she is looking.  He asks her where her Mommy is; he is worried about her.  She tells him not to worry; Mommy is with Daddy.  Max asks her how she knows this and she replies that she ‘just does’ and Max had better leave them alone.

The Storeroom

Todd complains that he is hungry.  Blair tells him to open the door.  He asks again if she knows anything about Ben and she wonders why he is doing all this digging.  He explains that he is worried about Viki; Ben is nothing like Sam.  She tells Todd that he can’t keep her in there forever; he isn’t going to stop Max and her.  When he responds, “The Hell I’m not,” Blair asks what that is supposed to mean.  She wonders what he is planning.  He tells Blair that he knows he still gets to her; she likes life to be full of surprises.  They hear someone in the hall and Blair starts pounding on the door.  Max opens the door and attacks Todd.

The Park

Colin has led the group to the park, where he has hidden the confession tape behind Nora’s memorial plaque.  Bo tells him that this pilgrimage wasn’t necessary.  Nora sees the plaque and is somewhat shocked.  She is angry with Colin and tells him that he kept her dead to all the people she loved, reducing her to a plaque on a wall.  Colin tells them that the tape is behind the plaque and Hank takes the crowbar that Colin’s lawyer has brought and pries it off, pulling out the tape.

The Stationhouse

Back in Bo’s office the group listens to the tape of Asa’s confession.  Colin asks if he is free to go and Bo tells him that he is.  He stops in the squad room to talk to Melanie and Lindsay, telling them to congratulate him.  Will is off the hook and so is he.  Melanie tells him that his medical career is over and leaves.  He turns to Lindsay, telling her that she if off the hook, too, and had better stay away from him.

The Storeroom

Blair pleads with Max not to kill Todd, telling him that it was an accident.  Max loosens his grip on Todd’s neck, telling him that if he comes near his wife again he is going out in a body bag.  Max and Blair then leave.

The Station House

The good news has arrived in the holding cell.  Jess tells Will that they have to let him out.  He says that he is trying not to celebrate yet.  Judge Fitzwater has denied their appeals twice.  Ben tells him that it looks good.  There is no way to hold him.

The Park

Nora has returned to the park and is looking at her plaque.  Colin steps out of the shadows, telling her that if it weren’t for him, that plaque would be real.

The Mansion

Asa picks up the phone and calls the governor, saying that it is a matter of life and death.  While he is waiting, John and Bo come in and arrest him for perjury, false incrimination and theft.
