The Station House

Roseanne is visiting Will.  He voices his concerns over not having much time left in Llanview; he feels that Sam is running out of options for keeping him there.  He’s worried about what will happen with Jess when he is gone; now he can see her and talk to her, but things will be different when he is away.  Who will she turn to then?

The Park

Jessica has gone to the park to sort through her conversation with her grandfather.  Cris comes across her and apologizes for his behavior the other evening, telling her that she was right; he was drunk and a jerk.  She tells him that what’s bothering her isn’t him right now; it’s her grandfather.  She explains that she went to him and tried to change his mind, but couldn’t.  He has closed himself off from the entire family and his hatred for Will’s family is poisoning him.  Cris advises Jess to go home and be with her mother; it’s getting late.  She says that she doesn’t want her mother to see her this way.  When Cris tells her that he is sorry, she tells him that she is sorry for what she has done to him.

The Mansion

Nigel enters to find Asa preparing himself a drink.  He asks him is he will be joining his son and daughter-in-law for dinner.  Asa states that he is not hungry and that he doesn’t want to be disturbed.  Nigel, not wanting to overstep his bounds, mentions that Asa has seemed quite upset since his granddaughter left.  Asa reminds him that it is not his place to voice his observations.  As the doorbell rings, he tells Nigel that unless it’s a matter of life or death, he doesn’t want to see anybody.

Nigel opens the door to find Colin, telling him that Mr. Buchanan is accepting no visitors.  Colin is certain that Asa will see him; it has to do with the Rappaports.  Nigel lets him in and Colin thanks Asa for seeing him; he states that he and Asa have some ‘friends’ in common.  When Asa points out that the Rappaports are no friends of his, Colin readily agrees with his opinion.  “Well bully for you,” Asa snaps, wanting to know what is in it for him.  Colin informs Asa that the blonde in Bo’s life used to be his wife.  “You mean the Lindsay clone?” Asa sneers.

The Station House

Melanie and Bo are in his office.  Bo studies Melanie longingly and tells her that she is wonderful.  She has come into his office in his police station and made it seem that all the problems are gone.  She tells him that he is giving her way too much credit.  He says that he is lucky to have her in his life and she admits that there is no place that she would rather be.

Sophia knocks on the door and brings in a stack of reports for Bo.  After she leaves, Bo asks, “Where were we?”  Melanie states that she should probably get out of there and leave him to his work.  He tells her that he already knows all about everything in that stack of papers.  He has working 12-hour days since he got back; he’s sure the taxpayers are getting their money.  In fact, he thinks it time for a break and he’d like Melanie to go with him.  He asks her where she’d like to go, and she mentions the park, where they spent time together on the fourth of July.

Sam’s Place

There is a knock at the door, and Nora opens it to find Lindsay, who asks if her sister is around.  When Nora tells her that she is not, Lindsay comes in and tells Nora that she thinks the two of them need to talk.

The Station House

Antonio and Sophia are in the squad room, going through stacks of files and looking for information on RJ.  RJ comes in and watches for a moment, then tells them that he hates to interrupt, asking what they are studying so intently.  Antonio tells him it is RJ Gannon’s story – fascinating reading.  RJ points out that it doesn’t take much to entertain Antonio.  Sophia asks what he is doing there and RJ snidely offers to fax them his schedule; it might save them some time.  Sophia leaves to get some more files and Antonio tells RJ that he knows he has come to “bug” him.  RJ condescendingly tells Antonio that he is going to use “little” words to tell him that everything in the world is not about him, then pointedly asks how Cristian is doing.  Antonio warns RJ to stay away from Cris. Roseanne approaches the desk and tells RJ that he needs to stop with the feud.  RJ reminds Roseanne that she means nothing to him and that she can’t protect Antonio.  As RJ leaves, Antonio tells Roseanne that RJ is going after Cris.

The Park

Jessica tells Cristian that he was right; she did lied to him, but she didn’t realize it.  He wants to know what she means.  She explains that she wasn’t over Will.  Cris reminds Jess that she said she loved him and wanted to be with him, imploring her to be straight with him and herself now.  He asks her if she feels love for Will, or if she feels responsible for what has happened to him.

The Mansion

Asa asks Colin who the hell he is.  Colin introduces himself, saying that he is a doctor and has been working at Llanview hospital on Nora Buchanan’s case.  He continues, saying that he knows Sam and Lindsay and does not like them.  Asa wants to know what it is that Colin wants.  When Colin tells him that he doesn’t want anything, Asa has a hard time believing him.  Colin tells him, instead that he knows all about what he has done to Will and how he has framed him.  When Asa calls the whole story a lie, Colin points out that Bo believes it.  Asa tells Colin that he knows where the door is and he should use it.  Colin does, remember, he states, but he also remembers something about a taped confession.  Asa yells that there is no tape.  Colin thinks it would really be something if that tape turned up.  Asa tells Colin that if he has something to say, he needs to say it.

At that point, Renee enters the room and wants to know what is going on.  She asks Asa if he knows that he is talking to the man who kidnapped Nora.  Asa glares at Colin, telling him that he is a dead man.

Sam’s Place

Nora is staring at Lindsay and Lindsay asks her why she is looking at her that way.  Nora says that more than one person has advised her to stay away from Lindsay.  Lindsay tells Nora that she was right earlier; the two of them do have bad history.  Nora wants to know why Lindsay has come.  Lindsay says that she shouldn’t have come; Sam would kill her.  Nora tells Lindsay that she would like some answers; she is looking for the truth and she will take it from anyone.  Lindsay says that maybe they should start with Bo; he is the one that caused the problems between them.  Nora remembers Bo telling her that he and Lindsay were almost married.  Lindsay points out that they would have been married if someone hadn’t barged in on the wedding.  Nora wants to know who would do that and Lindsay tells her that she is the one who did it.

The Mansion

Asa calls Colin a low life, accusing him of taking his daughter-in-law.  Colin points out that Nora and Bo are divorced.  Asa tells him to shut up.  Colin counters that he had nothing to do with Nora’s disappearance and Asa pulls a gun out of his desk drawer and points it at him.  Asa asks Renee what they should do to a man who took advantage of a poor, defenseless, injured woman.  Renee thinks he should shoot him between the eyes, or maybe lower.  Asa makes a comment about poor man’s justice.  If Bo can’t take care of this situation legally, he intends to do it his way.  He tells Colin to ‘high-tail’ it out of there.  Colin, fearful for his life, tells Asa that people are right when they say that he is a mad man and quickly leaves the room.

Renee asks Asa if he really would have shot Colin.  He states that he was tempted and that he knew that Renee was still on his side.

The Park

Melanie and Bo are in the park sitting on a bench.  Bo says that he can’t believe that Columbus Day has come and gone; it seems just yesterday that they were here watching the fireworks.  Melanie agrees, saying that it is incredible how much has happened.  He asks her if she is ok, and she says that she is a lot better now that she is with him.  Bo asks her if she understands about he and Nora.  She says that she knows that Bo needs to help Nora.  Bo says that he thinks Nora needs to know the truth about them.  Melanie thinks that that is a good idea, but feels that Nora is adjusting to things right now; it may be too much for her to handle.  Bo asks Melanie how long she plans on staying with Nora.  She admits that staying there is a little disconcerting and she doesn’t plan to stay much longer.  Bo says that he can see Nora and Melanie being friends.  Melanie likes Nora, she points out; she’s great.  Bo wonders what the two talked about the other night after he left.  She tells him that they ate ice cream and talked, but doesn’t want to divulge the details.  He understands and takes her hand.

Sam’s Place

Lindsay tells Nora that she broke up the wedding and was, in fact, ruthless.  Lindsay thinks she understands, though; it was self-preservation.  Nora had always been possessive of Bo.  Nora wants to know what she did.  Lindsay tells her that she brought up a mistake for her past and used it against her.   Bo left her in the church in her wedding dress.  Nora doesn’t think that that should be a motive for kidnapping.  She wonders why she doesn’t feel like she’s getting the whole story here.  Lindsay tells her that actually, things turned out for the best, Bo met someone else.  Who knew that the love of his life would be around the corner.  Nora wants to know who the love of Bo’s life is.

The Station House

Roseanne finds Antonio at his desk and asks him if he is done for the day.  She wonders if he might like to go someplace.  He tells her that he can’t – not now.  She wonders if Cris is the problem; she thinks that he can take care of himself.  Antonio is somewhat angered and wants to know if Roseanne knows Cris better than he does.  She doesn’t, she says, she just thinks that maybe he needs some space and time alone.  Antonio says that he can’t turn his back on his brother; Cris needs to know that he is there.  Roseanne is sure that Cris knows; he is just hurting a lot right now, but things will get better.

Roseanne suggests going back to Antonio’s place with a bottle of wine and relaxing.  Antonio declines, saying he would be lousy company.  Sophia comes in and assumes, from the looks on their faces, that the two are fighting.  She tells them that the fight is over and they need to go the their separate corners.  Roseanne assures her that they are not fighting and leaves, saying that she came to see Will and has already done that.  Sophia asks Antonio what the problem with Roseanne was and Antonio tells her that Roseanne thinks that he is too worried about his brother.  Sophia says that he could never be too worried about Cris.  Shelby comes in and tells Antonio that Doug has spotted Cris in the park.

The Park

Cris tells Jess that he gets the feeling that she doesn’t want to hurt him, but he needs to know the truth.  She tells him that it’s not that simple.  What she feels for Will is real; it’s love.  She doesn’t just feel bad.  Cris points out that Jess said she loved him, too.  Jess says that she does; she knows it’s not fair, but she can’t change how she feels. Cris wants to know how it happened.  She thinks that it started with Megan; when she died.  Will was the only one who could understand; it was his daughter too.  Cris reminds Jess that she shut down and wouldn’t let anyone close to her.  He tells her that he can’t handle this situation; she can’t expect him to.  He comments that Jess feels the way that she feels and, apparently, that’s all that matters.  Jess looks sad and confused and leaves.

Bo and Melanie are still sitting on the bench, and as we hear the words to the song “This Love”, we see them converse, laugh, and kiss, sharing special moments together.  They stroll to a vendor to buy some chestnuts, only to find out that they don’t like how they taste.  Once again, their intimate moment in interrupted by Bo’s beeper.  When he checks it, he informs Melanie that the forensics report is back.

Sam’s Place

Nora again asks Lindsay about the woman in Bo’s life.  Lindsay offers to go and make them some coffee.  Nora tells her that coffee keeps her awake.  Lindsay says that she has a clear conscience and is sleeping well.  Lindsay says that she should probably leave; Lanie will be back soon.  Nora wants to know if Lindsay in avoiding Melanie.  Nora tells Lindsay to stop tap-dancing around the subject and tell her the truth.  Lindsay tells her that Bo is in love with Melanie.

The Park

Antonio finds Cris in the park.  And Cris tells him that things are over with Jessica; he has just seen her.  He can’t believe it.  Antonio tells Cris that he knows how he feels.  Cris disagrees, telling Antonio to do him a favor and leave him alone.  He appreciates what Antonio is trying to do, but it’s not necessary.  Antonio asks Cris if he is sure that he’s ok.  Cris promises not to kill anyone, jump off a cliff or get drunk; he just needs some time alone.  Antonio tells him that they will talk later and leaves.  RJ appears on the scene and is watching Cris.

The Mansion

Renee comes back into the room, telling Asa that Colin has left.  When Asa comments that it took him long enough, Renee says that she thinks it took a moment for him to compose himself.  She adds that it is too bad that they didn’t scare a confession out of him.  Asa tells Renee that she is a hell of a woman and he knows why he fell in love with her; they are two of a kind.  Renee tells Asa that she isn’t at the house because she is coming back to him; she has brought something that she wants him to sign – the preliminary settlement agreement.  Asa wonders why she had to come in person.  She tells him that she wanted to look him in the eye and see if anything had changed.  He tells her that nothing is changed and that she needs to take him as he is.  Renee reminds Asa that he is not the man that she has loved all her life and married.  When he tells her he is the same as he always was, she disagrees, saying that the hate he is clinging to has changed him.  She gives him the papers to sign, saying that they might as well get on with it.  Asa storms from the room.

Sam’s Place

Nora wonders why Melanie would keep secrets from her about her relationship with Bo.  Lindsay tells Nora not to tell Melanie that she has told her; Melanie would kill her.  Lindsay points out that Nora has put her trust in people who don’t trust her with the truth.    Nora wonders again why they wouldn’t tell her this and Lindsay argues that maybe they were worried about her.  Nora says that Bo knows that he can tell her anything.  “Does he?” Lindsay questions.  Lindsay leaves, telling Nora that maybe all of this will make more sense in the morning.  Nora grabs a pillow and throws it across the room.

The Station House

Jess comes back to the station to find Will in a sad and pensive mood.

The Park

RJ approaches a brooding Cris and asks, “How’s it going?”

Sam’s Place

Nora is putting things away; she seems confused and angry.  Melanie comes in a meets a disapproving look.

The Station House

Bo is at his desk, going over the forensics report from Colin’s house.  Colin comes in and tells Bo that he is sick and tired of the way he is being treated.  In fact, he is thinking of starting a lawsuit.  None of the things that Bo has done have worked and he won’t be able to trap him.  Bo looks up and tells Colin that he doesn’t need a trap.  Pointing to the report, he says, “We got you!”
