The Meeting

Kelly asks "Butch" is he isn't going to offer a lady his seat.  Obviously angered, Rourke tells them that this is a meeting and there or no strippers invited.  At this point, Kevin reluctantly introduces Kelly as Mrs. Flynn.  When Kelly offers Rourke her hand, he checks and finds no wedding ring.  He wants to know what's going on.

Someone is watching from across the room, although the viewer cannot tell who it is.  He scans the room, then pulls out two pictures and puts them in the ashtray and sets them on fire.  As the camera pulls away, we see that it is Todd and the pictures are of Viki and Sam.

The Station House

Viki wonders if she and Sam have made matters worse with Todd.  Sam says that he doesn't care anymore; Todd spends his life playing games and he is not going to do it with him anymore.  Viki agrees, saying that Todd needs to take responsibility for the consequences of his actions.  Sam feels that he and Viki are partly to blame; they have always been willing to give Todd another chance.  This time Sam is closing the door and he urges Viki to do the same, no matter how difficult it may be.  Viki says that he is right, although she knows it will be a difficult choice for Sam, too.  She admits that she is worried and a bit frightened about what Todd might do next.

Down in the cell, RJ ponders how fun it might be to make it look like the doc has done himself in.  Colin defends himself, saying that RJ supposedly cares about Nora and it is obvious that he did too; he tried to stop Lindsay and got the antidote.  Colin wants to know what RJ thinks about Lindsay's involvement in all of this.  RJ tells Colin to either forget Lindsay's name, or he will carry out vengeance.

In Bo's office, Lindsay begs Bo not to make her face Colin, not in front of him.  Bo reminds Lindsay that this is not a social call.  She tells Bo that she is embarrassed; it was a moment of weakness.  Bo seems to remember her telling him that it was an ongoing affair.  Lindsay goes on to say that she was trying to give him space to be with Melanie.  He wonders if in all that time she didn't ever see a trace of Nora; both Todd and Will saw her in Colin's bed.  Lindsay guesses that maybe that explains why Colin always wanted to go to a hotel.  When Bo asks her which hotel, Lindsay feigns humiliation.  As Bo is telling Lindsay that he wants the truth, Nora comes in and says that she does too.

Lindsay tells Nora that she is glad to see her up and around.  Nora wonders if she really is.  She tells Bo that even though she can't be a witness because of her faulty memory, she is still a lawyer and she intends to help Hank build an airtight case.  Sam enters and asks Nora if she shouldn't be at home; the doctor says that she needs rest.  She tells him that she has problems with her memory, but she isn't tired.  Everyone she knows and everyone she is supposed to know is working on her case and she wants to be working on it, too.

Sam admits that he was wondering about Lindsay's big confession.  Lindsay tells him that it is between she and Bo.  He asks if she confessed to kidnapping and drugging Nora.  Lindsay tells him to stop putting words in her mouth.  As Nora listens to their bickering, she seems to be remembering something.  Bo asks her if she is ok.  She says that this situation with the four of them seems familiar.  He asks her if she is remembering something.

Llanfair

Viki and Betty Rolin are having coffee and talking about Betty's book, "First You Cry".  Viki tells her that she read it long before she had breast cancer and she read it again after she was first diagnosed, saying that it helped her a lot.  Betty tells her that she wondered if it would hold up after all this time.  Viki says that she thinks a lot of people can identify with the loss in the book, even if they don't have breast cancer.  She comments that the book made her laugh over and over again, as well.  Betty tells Viki that that is her favorite thing to hear.  Viki talks about the support group she attends and the openness that she finds there, attributing it to Betty and the book she wrote so long ago.  She talks about the special section that she will be running in The Banner all month in honor of breast cancer awareness.  Betty shows her an ad that she has brought to put in the paper; it has the signatures of a number of survivors.  Viki asks if she can add her name, and Betty is pleased.

The Meeting

Theresa (Kelly) explains that she came to find Butch because she has lost her wedding ring down the drain again.   She and Kevin do an exchange on the number of times that this has happened and how she is too careless.  When Rourke tells her that this is a business meeting and she needs to get lost, she refuses, saying that she is superstitious.  She has lost her ring and she knows that she will have more bad luck if she leaves now.  Rourke gets a call and says he has to leave, telling Kevin that they can set up another meeting.  He tells "Butch" to leave his woman at home where she belongs the next time and leaves.

Kevin pulls Kelly aside and asks her what she thinks she is doing.  She tells him that she couldn't let him do this alone.  He wonders if getting shot once wasn't enough for her.

Outside, Todd approaches Rourke and his men, telling them that he has some information about Butch and his woman.

Llanfair

Viki comes into the kitchen and finds Joey, who is making himself a sandwich.  She tells him that she though it might be him, or a very large mouse.  He explains that he wanted to come by and check on her; Jess has told him that she is rather upset with Todd.   She tells him that Todd isn't moving in and Joey points out that that wasn't one of Viki's best ideas.  Viki wonders if checking on her is the only reason Joey has come by.  When he asks her if it's a problem, she says that it is delightful, but she knows with it's like coming home to a lonely house.  Although she is troubled by the business with Todd, she would like to listen to Joey if he feels like talking.  He tells her that the whole thing stinks; being far from Kelly is hard and so is being near her.  Things would be much easier if he could hate her; then he could get on with his life.  Viki reminds Joey that he loves Kelly and that's why it hurts.

The Meeting

Ben approaches Kevin and Kelly, telling them that she has blown it.  Kevin says that Rourke requested another meeting, but Ben counters that the fact that he left means a lot.  The man has no sense of humor.  He tells the two of them to get out of there.   As they leave, they see Rourke and his men outside, without realizing that Todd is hiding behind them.  Kevin tells the "gentlemen" that he is going home to play plumber.  Back inside Jackie tells Ben that Rourke is nobody to play with.  Ben agrees and tells him that it is up to them to keep Kevin and Kelly out of trouble.

As Ben exits, he sees Todd talking to Rourke and his men and butts into the conversation , calling Todd Detective Manning.  He tells Rourke that he figures he owed him one for old times sake.  Rourke tells Ben that he still isn't paid up and warns Todd to wear his badge over his heart.  Ben tells Todd that it's time that the two of them had it out.

The Station House

Nora says that she has a certain feeling about the four of them being together.  Bo wants to know if it is a good feeling.  She says that it isn't, but she doesn't remember anything more.  She tells them that she needs to understand everything.  Sam tells her that she'll remember everything; he is sure of it.  Hank comes it and Nora tells him not to try to talk her into leaving; she is working on the case.  Hank tells her that that works for him.  Sam tells Bo and Hank that he needs to speak to them, so Lindsay excuses herself and Nora says that she needs to call Rachel.  She thanks the three men for all their help, even though she is frustrated by the whole situation.  Hank promises her that they will resolve things.

After she leaves, Hank tells Bo and Sam that he needs to make good on his promise.  Sam tells him that he has a way.

Nora follows Lindsay after she leaves Bo's office.  She is stopped by an officer, who tells her how glad he is to see her looking well, but continues to follow Lindsay.  Next she runs in to RJ, who says that he heard that Bo has made an arrest.  When she says that he has, RJ says that the person who did this to her should be covered in oil and roasted alive.  Lindsay overhears the conversation and tries to leave, but is stopped by Nora.  Lindsay wants to know if Nora was looking for her.  Nora tells her that she is glad for the chance to be alone; she needs to get some things straight.  She says that although Lindsay has told her they were friends, she doesn't think that they were.  Lindsay agrees that the word "friends" might be stretching things a little.  She tells Nora that she wanted to be friends with her and did save her from the fire at Club Indigo.  Nora tells Lindsay that she feels like she is hearing only shades of the truth.  She wonders if Sam and Bo would say that they were friends.  Lindsay states that they are friends and only see things as black or white, where women see things in shades of gray.  Nora wonders what shade of gray locking someone up in a room is.  Lindsay denies doing that, and Nora reminds her that Sam says she did.  Lindsay explains that Sam needs someone to blame.  Nora wonders if she broke Sam and Lindsay up.  Lindsay explains that they were divorced long before coming to Llanview.  Nora tells Lindsay that she may have lost her memories, but she still has her gut feelings.  Her gut tells her that Lindsay is capable of doing something like this.  She asks Lindsay why they hate each other.

In Bo's office, Sam says that he understands that there is not enough evidence to get convictions.  Bo assures him that the forensics results will nail MacIver; it isn't possible for Nora to have been in that house for such a long time without leaving evidence.  The men agree that there are only three people that know what went on it that house: Nora, Colin and Lindsay.  Nora doesn't remember anything, so they will have to count on MacIver for evidence against Lindsay.  Sam says that they need to make Colin an offer he can't refuse.

Llanfair

Viki tells Joey that she knows that her situation with Todd is not in the same league as he and Kelly, but she does know what it's like to love someone who betrays you.  She has gone down this road for the last time with Todd.  Viki adds that Kelly is a wonderful person who made a mistake.  Joey points out that that doesn't make things any easier.  He wonders if Viki has any advice.  When she says that she doesn't, he tells her that she is the Mom, and she should.  She tells him that maybe she needs to turn in her card.  As Joey is leaving, he tells her that he would never blame her for hoping that Todd might change.

Ben & Todd

Todd quips that he is flattered that Ben wants to talk to him, but he is not his type.  Ben tells Todd that he hurts the people he loves and he doesn't like that.  Todd says that everything was fine until Ben came along.  Ben blasts Todd for spitting on the love that Sam and Viki offered him; he is not going to let Todd torture them.  Todd informs Ben that he is not frightened of him.  "Good for you," Ben tells him, "but the next time you try to get to Viki you have to go through me."

The Banner

As Kevin and Kelly are returning, she is angry with him, telling him that he has no right to tell her what she can and can't do.  She is the one, after all, that got shot.  She says that the two of them were great together and if he had let her in on the plan earlier, maybe they would have had a little time to rehearse.  She thinks that next time they can be more prepared.  She points out that there will be a next time, because she doesn't intend to give up on this.  When Kevin doesn't answer her, she asks him if he doesn't want to say something.  Kevin responds by telling her that she looks really hot in her outfit.  He thinks that maybe they should get to work on those pipes.  When she calls him Kevin, he tells her that it's "Butch" and calls her Theresa.  He suggests that she is so hot in that outfit that they maybe should get her out of it before she gets burned.  She tells him that she likes it when he talks to her that way and that he has her wrapped around his little finger.  Things get passionate, and Kelly ends up on top of Kevin's desk.

Llanfair

Viki is outside pruning plants and Ben comes out to see what's going on.  He tells her that a lesser man might be jealous of all the attention the plants are getting.  She asks him if he has "begonia envy", to which he replies that he might.  She tells him that she needs to get the flowers into the greenhouse; they were so beautiful this year.  He thinks that she's pretty beautiful, too.  She tells him that Todd is history; they had it out.  He says that he figured as much.  When she tells him that it's okay to say 'I told you so", he tells her that he only wants to tell her one thing: "I love you."  They share a kiss.

Todd

Todd has gone back inside the bar and is trying to play a song on the juke box.  When the machine takes his quarter, he goes a little nuts and starts shaking the machine.  The bartender offers to give him his money back, and Todd says that he doesn't want his money, he wants a song. When the bartender tells him to go easy on the machine, Todd starts kicking it, then yells out that he needs a beer.  He sits down at a table, grabs a piece of paper and makes a list of people 'to get', including Viki, Sam, Nora and Lindsay.

The Station House

Lindsay tells Nora that she doesn't hate her.  Nora promises that she will get to the truth.  Of course she will, Lindsay says, that's what she always does.  Lindsay tells Nora if she needs any help to let her know.  Sam bursts into the room and wants to know what the hell Lindsay is doing to Nora now.  "See?  He blames me for everything," she tells Nora.  She tells Nora to call her if she needs to talk.

Sam tells Nora that she needs to trust him and steer clear of Lindsay.  Nora asks him to fill her in on why.  He tells Nora that she will soon know more about Lindsay than she cares to.  Nora also asks Sam to fill her in on their own relationship. She says that she remembers that they had an affair in Chicago a long time ago and she knows that they have a son now.  She knows that they are not married and that Sam never believed that she had died.  She thinks of Sam as being in Chicago and when she sees Matthew she thinks of Sam, but she doesn't know how they got from Chicago to Llanview.

Sam tells her that he and Lindsay were married, but that he never forgot Nora.  He tells her that they have always been friends and that they still are.  When she is ready, Sam promises to tell her everything.

As Lindsay is preparing to go down and see Will, Bo stops her, telling her that he needs her help.  He takes her into his office, where Hank is offering Colin a deal.  Nora and Sam are present as well.  Hank tells Colin that they are willing to offer him unlawful restraint charges instead of kidnapping if he is willing to name the others involved.  Colin wonders if that is coming from the goodness of Hank's heart.

The Banner

Things are getting hot and heavy between Kevin and Kelly in Kevin's office.  He asks her if they shouldn't go someplace more private.  She answers that they can do everything that they have to do right there.  As he goes to lock the door, she gathers up her things to leave, telling him that they need to make plans for the next meeting with Rourke.  She tells him that she is going to solve this case with him or on her own.  As she leaves the office, Kevin tells her that he loves her.

The Station House

Colin has been brought back to Bo's office and been made an offer.  He wants to know what kind of time they are talking about for unlawful restraint.  Hank tells him to do himself a favor and give the others up.  "Fine.  I'll tell you," Colin snarls.  "I have no idea what happened or who is involved."  Bo sends him back to his cell.  Nora, who is in the room and teary eyed, leaves to go and relieve Rachel.  As Lindsay goes to leave, Sam tells her that he is going to find out the truth; she can count on it.

Llanfair

Ben is in the kitchen, thumbing through on of Viki's bridal magazines, as she comes in from tending to her flowers.  He asks her if they are in bed for the winter and she tells him that they are.  She asks what Ben is reading and then jokes that that is better than talking about Todd. They start to look at her list and discuss the things one it.  They wind up kissing instead.

The List

Todd has gone back into the bar and ordered a beer.  He adds Ben's name to his "Get List", which now includes: Viki, Sam, Nora, Lindsay and Ben.  He finishes writing and gulps down his beer.
