The Penthouse

Viki enters the penthouse to find Kevin choking Todd.  When she asks what's going on, Todd quips that Kevin is trying to kill him so that he'll sign his shares of The Sun over to Kelly.  As Viki breaks up the fight, Kevin points out that Todd is so self-involved that he doesn't even know what's going on and vows that he will make Todd do something right.  Viki takes Kevin aside and tells him that she has come to talk to Todd about doing something right.  Kevin says that Viki is always making excuses for Todd, but he can't blame his conduct  on the way he was raised.  Viki compares Todd's childhood to Kevin's, telling him that, yes, Todd does need to take responsibility for his actions, but that there were dark forces that shaped him and made him who he is.  She needs to talk to Todd alone and asks Kevin to wait for her outside.

After Kevin leaves, Todd makes a joke about the "dark forces" and Viki warns that he is treading on thin ice.  She tells him that he needs to get his act together or get the hell out of Llanview permanently.

Llanfair

Jessica has returned and is leaving a note for her mother, telling her that she has gone to the Police Station to see Will.  She looks up to see Cris enter.

Sam's Place

Melanie tells Nora that she doesn't think she can be of much help to her, because she really hasn't known Bo for very long.  "You know I'm getting divorced," Nora states.  When Melanie admits that she does, Nora tells her that since they are in the same position, she was hoping that maybe Melanie could help her to understand.

The Station House

Just as Bo is allowing Colin to leave, Will steps it the door.  Colin acts surprised and asks how Will is doing.  Will tells him that he is fine, but no thanks to his uncle.  Colin wants to know if that is how Will is going to thank him for helping him out.   Will wonders if Colin considers locking him in the basement helping him out.  An irate Colin fumes that he has had enough of these bizarre accusations and is "outta here".  Bo tells the "doc" that he isn't going anywhere.

The Carriage House

Kelly is just about to leave after collecting her things, when Sophia comes in.  They both want to know what the other woman is doing there.  Sophia tells Kelly that Joe has said that she could stay here, but if Kelly is back, she'll be staying in a hotel.  Kelly says that she is glad that Sophia is in Joey's life.  Sophia quickly points out that there is nothing going on between she and Joey; she needs a place to stay and that is all.  She chides that she is not going to be the one to get Kelly and Kevin off the hook.

The Penthouse

Todd tells Viki that he has no intention of leaving Llanview, he likes it here.  Viki apologizes and says that she has had a bad day, including questionable test results.  Todd wonders if she is ok, saying that if she is ok, everyone is ok, including him.  Viki states that he is far from being ok, and he knows it.  She asks him if he is capable of discussing something with her without making her want to slap him.  He promises that he'll cut the jokes.

Viki tells Todd that what he has done to Kelly, Sophia and Roseanne is contemptible, but he is, after all, her family.  Todd is angry now and tells Viki that she lectures him every time she sees him.  When he sees that he has hit a nerve, he continues by saying that she is a good person and he knows that she wants him to be different, but he isn't going to change.  Viki tells him that he could change, starting now.  She says that she has come to invite him to live at LLanfair.  When he balks, she asks him if he doesn't want a family.  He tells her that he isn't willing to give up The Sun and his home (money and power).  She informs him that he'll lose Sam and her if he doesn't.

Llanfair

Jess asks Cris if he has come to gloat.  He wonders what he could possibly have to gloat about.  She complains that he used Todd's lie to make Will leave.  Cris retorts that if she wants to dump him for the one mistake he made, that's fine.  He isn't, however, guilty of the other things.  Jessica asks why she should believe him and he points out all the things he has done for Will.  Jess reminds him that he did those things for her, not for Will.  Cris is truly hurt and tells Jessica that he feels like she thinks of him as slime.  She says that she doesn't and apologizes for being unfair to him.  When Cris tries to approach Jessica and tells her that he has always loved her, she tells him to stop and sees that he is drunk.

The Carriage House

Kelly asks why Sophia needs a place to stay.  Sophia tells her that she and Roseanne have been kicked out by Todd.  Kelly  tells Sophia that she is right, she doesn't have a say in Joey's life anymore.  She admits that she wishes Sophia were his girlfriend, at least then she would feel better.  As long as they are being honest, Sophia wants to know why Kelly is working at The Banner.  When Kelly points out that it was Joey's idea, Sophia wonders why she couldn't tell him 'no'.  Kelly defends herself, saying that Joey wouldn't let her and telling Sophia that even she knows how proud he is.  Kelly declares that she just doesn't want to hurt Joe any more; she doesn't know what to do.  When Kelly starts to cry, Sophia is torn.  She tells Kelly that she remembers that she was there when her brother died, and she wants to be there for her now.

LLanfair

Cris admits that, yes, he is drunk.  Being good and sober didn't get him anything, so he has given up on that.  He reads the note to Viki and asks Jess if she is on her way to be with Will.  He tells her to go ahead; he doesn't want to stop her.  He comments on how Jess has gone back and forth from Will to him, choosing whoever was the worthiest at the moment.  Jess says that she never played them against each other.  Cris tells her to think what she wants of him; he is done with the whole mess.  He crumples up the note and throws it down.  As he leaves, Jess tells him to go, because she can't talk to him when he acts this way.

The Penthouse

Todd laments that he doesn't understand Viki or Sam.  He has, after all brought Nora back, even though he hates her.  Doesn't that count for something?  Then Viki agrees and says that bringing Nora home was a selfless act, Todd tells her not to go overboard.  He asks her if it isn't risky to give him a chance, to which she replies he is running the bigger risk; he may end up all alone.  After she has left, Todd tells Viki that she stinks and says that Nora does too.

Sam's Place

Melanie tells Nora that she doesn't feel that their situations are very similar.  She thinks that Nora and Bo had a much more mature relationship.  Nora disagrees, telling how she and Bo hated each other initially and got closer when they were both working on a hit and run case that was important to them.  She admits that she never knew she could love anybody the way she loved Bo.  Melanie is uneasy and tells Nora that she doesn't think she should be telling her all this.  Nora apologizes, saying that she thought that Melanie would understand.  Melanie does understand and Nora has no idea how much.

The Station House

Bo and Hank are questioning Will.  They want to know how Will knew that Nora was afraid when she was at Colin's.  He states that she was jumpy and nervous.  Colin accuses Will of lying.  Sam loses control and starts screaming at Colin, asking why he has done this.  Hank tells him to calm down and not take this personally.  Colin claims that the whole thing is a vendetta and he is through cooperating.  He wants his lawyer.  Bo reads Colin his rights and Colin asks if this is a joke.

Sam's Place

Nora tells Melanie that the whole thing is so unfair; she doesn't remember any of the bad parts of her marriage to Bo.  She only remembers the good things, like junk food, dancing and making love all night long.  She tells Melanie that they won a dance contest and that Bo is a great dancer.  When Melanie comments that men who dance well are rare, Nora tells her that she will have to dance with him sometime. Nora returns to the previous discussion; she can't understand how she got from being so happy with Bo to having a baby with another man.  She asks Melanie to tell her about Sam.  Melanie declines, saying that she wasn't even in town when everything happened.  She thinks that Sam should be the one to talk to Nora.  Nora states that she does remember Sam from Chicago, but she just can't figure out how they got to this point.  Melanie tells her that she does know that Sam was devastated after the train wreck, but he never gave up hope; he always thought that Nora was alive.  Nora only wishes that she could remember.

The Station House

As Colin is taken away to a cell, Sam tells him that he is going to pay for what he has done to Nora.  Bo tells the men that he can hold Colin  for what he did to Will.  Sam wonders about Will and asks Bo to let him come him with him, pointing out that he didn't fight the extradition.  Hank tells Sam that Will has to stay in jail; the sentence hasn't changed.  Sam tells Bo and Hank that he plans to file a motion to keep Will in town as a material witness in the MacIver case.  Hank promises that he will sign the affidavit, but cannot release Will.

Sam tells Will how proud he is of him. When Will asks about his mother, wondering if she knows that he is back, the men all look a bit uncomfortable.  Sam tells him that Lindsay is out of town, but he's sure she'll be happy to hear of his return.  Will thanks Hank and Bo for everything that they have done.  Hank points out that Will has a lot of people pulling for him.  Bo agrees, stating that even the DA is on his side.

After Sam and Hank have left, Bo swears to Will that he is going to prove one way or another that the whole thing has been a set-up.  Will asks if that is why Bo let him walk away from the train wreck.  Bo tells Will that he must be mistaken.  Will thanks Bo just the same and Bo says that he is welcome just the same.  Will asks Bo if Jessica can come to see him.  Bo smiles and says he'll talk to the Commissioner about it.

Llanfair

As Jessica is uncrumpling the note that Cristian has thrown down, Ben comes in and gives her a hug to welcome her back.  He asks her is something is wrong and if it is Will.  She says no, that everything is fine.  Ben tells her that she should let her family help her out a little; there is no reason to carry the burden of everything alone. She wonders how her mother is and Ben tells her that she is fine, but misses her.  He asks her if she plans on sticking around for a while.

Joey and Kevin enter and ask about Will.  She tells them that she is on her way to the station to see them.  Viki then enters, as well, saying how glad she is that Jessica is home.  Jessica tells her that she has to leave, but she will fill her in on all the details when she comes back.  Viki tells her to wait for just a moment; since the whole group is there she wants to tell them all that she has invited Todd to come and live with them.

The Penthouse

Todd is studying the deed for the penthouse.  He picks up the phone and calls Sam, telling him to come right away.

The Carriage House

Kelly states that she shouldn't be falling apart.  Sophia asks her why not and Kelly responds that nobody has died; she has just ruined a few lives.  Sophia points out that her relationship with Joey has died.  Kelly makes a correction; it didn't die - she killed it.  Sophia tells Kelly that she thinks that going for it with Kevin was the right thing for her to do.  You can't spend your life wishing you were with somebody else, and Joey will get over her eventually.  Kelly tells Sophia that she is going to be an excellent cop, to which Sophia replies that she is already smoking.

LLanfair

As her stunned family looks at her, Viki explains that she has set some conditions for this agreement with Todd.  He has to give the newspaper back to Kelly and the penthouse back to Roseanne and Sophia.  Kevin reminds her that Todd doesn't care about anybody but himself and he has lied to Viki before.  Jess agrees, saying she doesn't like the situation.  Joey tells Viki that it is her house, and he knows she'll do whatever she wants anyway.  Viki asks how she could tell Todd that he's not worth saving.  Joey promises that if Todd hurts Viki he and Kevin will go after him, and Ben tells him that they'll have to get in line.

The Penthouse

When Sam arrives, Todd wants to know where he has been.  Sam asks what the problem is and Todd tells him that it is Viki.  Sam asks if Viki is ok and Todd states that she isn't; she wants him to move in with her.  Sam smiles and admits that he had thought of asking Todd to move in with him as well.  Todd asks for a good reason.  When Sam says that he could keep an eye on him, Todd asks for a second reason.  Sam tells Todd that he is thankful to him for bringing back Nora.  Todd asks how Nora is and Sam tells him that she doesn't remember him yet.  Todd tells Sam that she will.

Sam's Place

Melanie is telling Nora that she needs to talk to Sam and let him tell her about their relationship.  She is sure that Nora's heart will catch up to what her head already knows.  Nora tells Melanie that she knows what she did; she broke sacred vows.  She wonders what made her do it.  Is she really that kind of a person?  Nora points out that she is no better than Colin.  Melanie tells her that she is nothing like Colin.  Nora says that it must have been a relief to divorce him.  Melanie counters that she was in pain, even though things were bad between them.  She knows it must be difficult to give up someone like Bo.  Nora remembers that Melanie has moved on; she is with someone else now.  She points out that Melanie never told her who that new person was and asks her about it again.

Bo knocks on the door.

The Station House

Will is sitting in Bo's office by himself.  Jess comes in and tells him that she was worried about him.  He tells her that he is fine; in fact, he's better now that he's had a chance to see her.  He tells her that Hank and Bo have been great and that Sam is filing some kind of a motion that will keep him in town for a few extra days.  Jessica vows that whatever happens she will stand by him, no matter what.  Will thanks her and the two embrace.

Sam's Place

Bo tells the two women that he can't stay, but he has come to say that he has arrested Colin after hearing Will's statement.  He asks Melanie if he can drop her somewhere and Nora tells him that Melanie is staying with her.  Melanie says that Nora was kind enough to let her stay and Bo makes a comment about the two of them becoming good friends.

Llanfair

Ben and Viki are relaxing on the couch.  She tells Ben that she knows she is in for a bumpy ride with Todd and her kids.  Ben tells her to consider him her seatbelt.  She thanks him for sticking up for her.  He replies that he has faith in her and he loves her, but wants her to promise that she's going to stop worrying about Todd.  She asks him what she'll worry about instead and he replies that she could worry about how fast she can kiss him; so she does.

The Penthouse

Sam tells Todd that he should consider taking Viki up on her offer.  "You think?"  Todd asks. "Yes. No. Maybe."

Sam tells Todd he has to leave; he has to file a motion on "his" behalf.  Todd wants to know whose.  Sam tells him that Will is back and Todd looks very surprised.  Sam leaves, telling Todd it was good to see him.
