At the Penthouse, things were heating up between Antonio and Roseanne.

At Llanview hospital, Sam and Bo anxiously await the results of the new
DNA test.

Nora told Colin that she had a memory book but she needed the pages
filled in! He told her to have patience and she said 'tomorrow was
another day', and call her 'Scarlet!' Colin stopped in his tracks, and
asked her why Scarlet! She said it was from Gone With The Wind! Hank saw
Colin exiting the room and warned him to stay away from Nora!

Larry Wolek told Lanie that Nora's blood toxicity results contained
traces of a memory-impairing drug! He said there was a drug being used on
a trial basis as an antidote to the drug in her system.

Bo and Sam drank cups of coffee, as neither could have slept in any
case. They split the daily paper and as Sam searched his pockets for a
pen, he found everything 'but': a small toy car, a rubber band, and a
broken red balloon. Matthew loved that balloon right up until the very
end, he told Bo...

Ben, on the phone told Viki he was worried about Sam, and that he missed
her.

Joe and Sophia played pool but he could see that her heart wasn't in it.
She couldn't stop talking about Antonio, and he kindly sent her home!
When she arrived at the penthouse, the chain was secured on the door and
as Antonio opened it, he was breathing very heavily. Roseanne came down
the stairs wearing a tiny silk robe and Sophia looked from one to the
other.

Within the hospital walls, the wait continued into the night. Sam and Bo
passed the time away by playing poker for candy pieces! The technician,
Rob Evans came out to tell them that all was going well and they ought to
have an answer before too long.

Melanie told Colin that she was there in the hospital for Bo and Nora but
wondered who 'he' was close to, to be there in the middle of the night!
He tried to tell her he knew that Nora was the woman he'd been unable to
save in the train wreck, but Lanie didn't buy it! She asked if he were
there to check on the drug that he'd given her, to see if it had gotten
worse! She asked if he had heard of the memory-erasing drug, did he
'remember' the time that one vial was missing after inventory!
'L-Aspernine'! She wanted to know what he had done to Nora and why!

Larry told Nora that they'd 'narrowed' things down, that her problem was
not emotional or physical. He explained 'L-Aspernine' to her, that it was
still experimental, and used only in trial doses. He said it would be
used only once or twice, that the memories she gained she would keep, but
those she did not were probably lost forever.

Renee walked into Crossroads and Ben surmised that she'd been unable to
sleep. She asked him to try and not sound so much like Asa! Ben wanted to
know what was going on, and she told him she was afraid that she had done
something wrong.

Lanie accused Colin of 'pretending' not to know Nora! He seemed
incredulous that she would think he had kidnapped Nora, wiped out her
memory, and then given her the antidote! He said he would offer no
contest to the divorce she wanted! Lanie smiled and wouldn't let him
change the subject! She said Nora had almost died, but someone had kept
her alive and then crushed her memory! She assured him she was going to
find out who had done it and if it were Colin, she would know that too!
He wanted to know who she thought would be with her on this and she told
him that Nora's medical team knew all about the drug that was in her
system!

Hank and Rachel were with Nora as Larry explained to her that drugs, or
psychiatric treatment were no guarantee of a cure. She said her life felt
like a movie she was watching, with someone else's empty stories! She
told Hank she wanted to remember Matthew and  told Larry that she wanted
the treatment immediately!

Sophia questioned why Antonio and Roseanne were still awake. They said it
had been too hot and then too cold. Antonio asked Sophia how Joey was
doing and suggested she might want to get some sleep as they were pulling
an early shift in the morning!

Renee filled Ben in on her conversation with Rae Cummings. He asked if
she intended to expose Max as a fraud. She said no but she was afraid
that Asa would find out and then Max would be in jail! Renee put her hand
on his and asked if he would consider being her son! He said he might
just take her up on that.

Bo told Sam that after they had the results he wanted to tell Nora. They
agreed that Nora would put all the pieces together eventually. Sam was
afraid that she would never remember what he had meant to her, or to each
other! He told Bo that his memories were his alone now and Bo seemed to
feel alone with his memories too. Sam said they would have to make sure
that Nora got to spend a lot of time with Matthew and Bo said that 'one'
of them would have to do that! Bo said, as if realizing it then, that
with Nora for his mom, if he were the dad, he wouldn't know him very
well.

Hank and Rachel waited patiently with Nora for Larry to arrive with the
drug. She was afraid that if she recovered her memories, she might not
like herself! Larry administered the drug and she was instantly immersed
in a memory! Courtroom! Trial! Bo and Sam stood in the room with her.

Sophia came down from the bedroom and found Antonio awake, she asked if
he were thinking about Andy. He was, and wondering about his wedding
ring, about taking it off. He said that maybe he ought to just 'lose it'
but Sophia said that when the time was right to take it off he would
know! She told him he would make a decision and it would not be an
accident! She made him laugh, she gave him a donut and they toasted by
'clunking' their donuts together!

A hush fell over Llanview hospital as Melanie paused outside on the
balcony to whisper a prayer for Bo, Sam and Matthew.

Colin strolled by Nora's room again and saw her 'asleep'. Submerged in
her memory, Nora stood in the courtroom with Bo and Sam and went to the
bench to get the piece of paper that contained her 'verdict'. Would she
regain her memories, or face the 'unknown' forever?

Rob Evans emerged from the lab and found Sam and Bo. He told them that he
had a very definite result for the paternity of Matthew!
