Jessica’s Room

Jessica wakes to find Cristian watching her sleep.  He tells her how beautiful she looks and that he was enjoying watching her.  She says that she must look awful, as she barely slept because she was so worried about Kelly.  Cristian comments that Kelly was lucky and has been given a second chance.  Jess agrees and says “Just like us”.  Jess’s cell phone rings and when she goes to answer it Cris tells her not to.

The “Daniel” Dilemma

John comes to Rae’s room and as soon as he enters Rae asks him where Daniel is.  John says that the department has been looking all over for him and he is not to be found.  “Where could he be?” Rae wants to know.  She’s afraid that maybe one of his “close personal friends” has gotten to him.  She reiterates how important it is for her to find the page from the Bible.  John tells her that they have turned Daniel’s room upside down and found nothing.  Rae comments that it’s probably a joke anyway and she and wonders why Daniel treats her this way.  John asks, “Are you really convinced this is a joke?”

Blair & Max

Blair wakes up to romantic Max, who says that he has just had a nightmare about a shooting at the Crossroads.  Blair asks if he is ok and when he responds with more kisses, she decides that he must be. He quips that maybe, “getting shot up fills the life forces in me”.  He asks Blair if she’s been feeling queasy, to which responds that she is feeling fine.  As she goes out to get the breakfast tray, we see her birth control pills on the table at the foot of the bed.  Max comments that maybe it was worth getting shot if it meant getting rid of Daniel and Blair tells him not to joke about such matters.  She says she was so worried about Kelly that she didn’t sleep much and Max says that he was worried too, but about her.  He was so grateful that she wasn’t there during the shooting and doesn’t know what he would do without her.  Max decides that he’s going to spend the day in bed, and as Blair offers to let him get some rest, he responds that he has every intention of spending the day making love to her.

Lindsey’s Studio

Colin bursts into Lindsey’s studio demanding to know what she has done with Nora.  He has checked every emergency room in the county and every police station within 100 miles and can’t find her.  A nonchalant Lindsey tells Colin that she thought that he had arranged to have Nora moved and she has no idea where she is.  She tells him not to look a gift horse in the mouth, and he asks if time off for good behavior means anything to her.  She tells him that he needs to get over his fixation with Nora, at which point Melanie walks in.  She asks Colin why he would care so much about a woman he never met.  She wonders whether Sam might be right about Colin and Lindsey’s involvement with Nora.

Convent

Todd is standing and watching a sleeping Nora, when a nun enters and comments that they are getting no response from Nora and she wishes they could be of more help.  She asks exactly what it is that is ailing Nora and Todd comes up with Hanen’s disease (a rare retrovirus that attacks the cerebellum and shuts the system down).  The nun asks Todd if he has considered where he will take Nora from here.

Jessica’s Room

Jessica finally answers her phone and Cristian is relieved to hear that it is Vicky, who is calling to check on Jessica and Kelly.  She tells Jessica to say hello to Cristian, and when Jess hangs up she laughs and swears that her mother has radar and knows Cristian is there.  She asks Cristian why he didn’t want her to answer the phone and he answers that he was just being selfish and wanted her all to himself.  She tells him that it’s going to be the two of them together forever.  Cris asks what would have happened if it had been Will on the phone.

Ireland

Will is dreaming that Jessica is there in bed with him, watching him sleep.  He wakes and she declares her love for him and apologizes for almost marrying Cristian.  He tells her that that is all in the past and what is important is now.  She wonders how she could have been so wrong about things.  Will wakes from his dream and tells Jessica that it wasn’t her fault.

Convent

The nun wonders if Nora wouldn’t be more comfortable at home with her friends and family.  Todd retorts that he is the only family she’s got and that wouldn’t work out.  She then suggests some sort of long-term facility.  She asks Todd where the disease originated and he replies, “Eastern Europe”.  She mentions that he might have to find a place in that area, and Todd agrees that that would work.

Lindsey’s Studio

Colin asks Melanie if things are so bad between them that she could believe that he would do something to Nora.  He asks her what he would have to gain.  She admits that she doesn’t know but states that she can’t understand why he didn’t tell her that Will needed her.  He tells her that he was trying to protect her.  Lindsey jumps into the conversation, saying that Colin didn’t tell her about Will either.  Melanie then asks Colin about the meds she saw him take and who they were for.  Colin tells her to think what she wants of him but not to think that he would ever keep Nora from Sam.  Melanie accuses, “Every time I see the two of you, you seem to be huddled together planning your next move.  What is it that I interrupted when I came in here?”

The “Daniel” Dilemma

John is watching a confused, incredulous Rae talking aloud to herself about Max and Daniel.  She tells John that she heard Daniel threaten to tell who Max really was and ask him for a million dollars.  She knows that Daniel likes to look for people’s weaknesses and capitalize on them.  She also knows that Max wasn’t at the Crossroads for Rae or her daughter.  Rae admits that she is starting to wonder if Max really could be her son.  If Daniel was blackmailing him, Max must know the truth.  John tells Rae that it’s time to pay Max a visit.

Max & Blair

Max remembers that he has a surprise for Blair and apologizes that he was momentarily sidetracked by Daniel  Faulkner.  Blair asks him not mention that name again and he agrees.  While Max is getting the package, Blair notices the birth control pills and hides them in a drawer.  When he presents the package he tells her that it is actually a gift for both of them, to which Blair replies that she doesn’t mind sharing.  “Since when”, Max chides.  Max goes on about their rosy future and how he wants to give her everything now.  He admits, however, that Blair is the only one that can give them the most incredible gift of all.  Blair opens the package to find a pregnancy test.

Lindsey’s Studio

Melanie asks Colin why he would want to help Sam find Nora, since he and Sam hate each other.  He tells her that he knows how he would feel if something happened to her.  Colin then admits to Melanie that at the time of the explosion he was working on a passenger that fit Nora’s description.  He was blown clear and she was killed.  Melanie wants to know why he never told her this before.  He says that he’s not sure, but he feels guilty, that he has failed her because he couldn’t save her.  If she had somehow survived it would give him a second chance too.  Melanie responds that Colin is always so good at making her believe his stories.  Colin says that Melanie must think him to be inhuman.   He tells Lindsey that if she hears anything about Nora to let him know and leaves.  Lindsey tells Melanie that it hurts that Melanie believes the whole Nora story because Sam says that it is true.  The whole thing is outrageous.  Melanie admits that Colin would have no good reason to harm Nora, but that Lindsey would.

Convent

Todd asks the nun who makes the call.  “Excuse me,” the nun replies.  “Who makes the call about my wife?” he asks again.  She replies that it would be the husband’s job to make such a decision and leaves the room.  Todd looks at Nora and tells her that it’s time to make a decision and if she wants to have a say, she’d better tell him now.  “Ok, I’ll decide – Eastern Europe or where you belong – Eastern Europe is nice this time of year”.  He tells her that he won’t take this lightly and he’ll make the proper decision as he pulls a coin out of his pocket and asks, “heads or tails?”

Blair & Max

Blair comes out of the bathroom with the “negative” pregnancy test in her hand and looking disappointed.  She tells Max that maybe it wasn’t the right time and he answers that it was just wishful thinking.  They exchange comments about what it would be like to have a boy that looks like Max, or a girl like Blair.  Max heads out to get some Mimosa’s to quench their thirst while they spend the day trying to make a baby (sans champagne for Blair of course).

Jessica’s Room

Jess reminds Cris that she loves him and nothing would change if Will called.  Cris reminds her that Will called once.  Jessica agreed and said that she had made clear to Will that she was with Cris.  Yes, but you were angry Cris reminded her.  “Even if I weren’t angry, I would want to be with you.  It wouldn’t change a thing if Will showed up tomorrow.”

Ireland

A sleeping Will wakes to hear voices outside his door.  Liam is telling Deborah that Will is probably no more that a common criminal and that he is going to fetch the constable.

Sam’s Place

Todd yells, “Honey I’m home”, up the stairs, only to find that Sam is not there.  He listens to Will’s message on the answering machine with an angry look on his face.

The “Daniel Dilemma”

Rae and John burst into Max and Blair’s room as Blair is looking at the birth control pills.  John demands to know where Max is as he comes walking into the room.  Max is furious with the help for letting these so-called “bozos” in.  John tells Max he needs to ask him some questions about Daniel, as he is now missing.  Blair wants to know what Rae is doing there, and when John says she is there as an observer, Blair decides to stay as well.  John wants to know about Max’s relationship with Daniel and what secret he was bidding on.  Max claims that his relationship with Daniel goes back to his father.  “Asa?” John asks.  “No my adoptive father,” Max retorts.  Rae tells Max that she has overheard Daniel threatening to tell everyone who he really was.

The Diner

Jessica and Cristian show up at the Diner for a bite to eat.  They run into Colin, who inquires about Vicky’s health and asks Jessica to send her his best.  As he sits down at the counter, he overhears Jessica and Cris talking about the recent events in their lives and how Jessica cannot trust her grandfather.  They comment on the loss of Nora and the tape that she was carrying.  Colin has a revelation and hurries out of the Diner.

  Lindsey’s Studio

Lindsey complains to Melanie that she somehow seems to get the blame for everything that is going wrong.  Melanie tells her to stop with the “poor me” routine and that somehow she seems to be involved with anything and everything that has to do with Bo.  “You mean Bo and my sister?” Lindsey answers.  She then tells Melanie that she is getting over Bo because of Melanie’s help and she’s angry that they have lost the last five years with each other.  “It hurts me that you believe Sam over me.  You don’t love me,” Lindsey claims.  “I admit that I never liked Nora, but I’d never do anything to hurt her.”  Melanie tells Lindsey that she just wants things to go back to normal. She tells a surprised Lindsey that she thought Bo ought to know what was going on and that she called and left him a message.  “Did you talk to him?” Lindsey wants to know.  “No, but he left me a message and he’s heading home.”

The “Daniel” Dilemma

Max tells Rae that she needs to check her hearing and that Daniel doesn’t know anything about him, because there is nothing to know. “He wanted a million dollars from me because I’m a Buchanan.”

John wants to know what Max was doing at the Crossroads.  Max tells him that he had gone to tell Daniel that he would be getting no money from the Buchanans.  “That doesn’t make sense!” Rae interrupts.  John asks about Asa’s hit-man theory and Max passes it off as Asa being overprotective.  John asks if Renee and Asa had ever spoken to Daniel about finding Max, to which he responds that the story is no secret.  As Max tries to get rid of Rae and John, Rae blurts out the Daniel has claimed that Max is her son.

The Diner

Jess and Cris talk about their plans for the future, with Jessica expressing an interest in going back to the university.  Cris admits that he liked being a groupie.  Jessica maintains that singing was fun, but she wants to make plans for her future, their future.  Cris wants to know where they are going to live, stating that they need some privacy.  At that they remember that Vicky is away and head back to Llanfair.

Llanfair

Will’s letter for Jessica has arrived.

Colin

We see Colin listening to his dictation about Nora and going through her belongings.  He takes out the tape and pops in the one that Nora was carrying.  As he hears Asa’s voice and the admission that he has framed Will, he breaks into a grin.

Ireland

We see Will in bed and hear Deborah and Liam’s voices outside the door.  She peeks inside, closes the door and announces that Will is sleeping like a baby.  Liam announces that the constable will be coming by later.  At that, a clothed will jumps out of bed.

Sam’s Place

As Todd is about to erase Will’s message, the phone rings.  He picks it up, pretending to be the answering machine, then realizes it is Sam and they chat.  He tells Sam not to lose hope in his search for Nora and that things in Llanview are as quiet as a mouse.  He hangs up, erases Will’s message, picks up Will’s picture and says, “Poor, dumb Will.  You should have learned that you can’t trust me.”  Sam’s mail then arrives with Will’s letter.
