'NIGHTMARE ON ASA STREET'

Asa, asleep in bed, was grimacing as if in pain from the nightmare he was
having. He saw the two paths on the sign at Crossroads once more, the
arrows pointing one way to heaven, the other to hell...

MELANIE AT LLANFAIR

Viki opened the door to Melanie, who said she had come in person to give
Viki her 'news'. Viki told her to 'go ahead', she was prepared for the
worst, but Melanie said that her news was good! Viki called to her family
in the library, and they each hugged and expressed their joy at her news!
Melanie reminded her that there were still more tests to be taken...

SOHPIA'S 'COOKIN'

Antonio tried to beg off when Sophia said she would cook dinner for him.
She said he needed rest, he had broken a rib and put in a full day at
work! He said she had better get an apron for that pretty dress! She
smiled at him as she wrapped the towel around her waist and began to make
dinner.

'TRICKED'!

As Colin walked by the bedroom where Nora had been, he saw the sheets
move as if someone were in the bed. He walked in, and called her name out
loud "Scarlet?". The light came on and Todd popped out from beneath the
sheet! Sam popped out from behind the door! He told Colin he 'knew' that
Nora had been there, and so did Colin!

ANTONIO'S KITCHEN

As Sophia spoke, Antonio smiled and when she looked at him, he said he
never realized before how funny she was! She said she had been very
worried about him and he assured her that he was doing fine. She
suggested that they ask Roseanne for help with R.J., that they could
trust her. Antonio looked almost pained as he asked if they could 'change
the subject', and Sophia politely agreed.

'NIGHTMARE ON ASA STREET'

The dream altered, to reveal Sam, Will and Ben laughing over Asa's
'demise'! They were going to have a party to celebrate never having to
deal with him again! Sam looked at the Crossroads sign and it now said
"Rappaport Family Reunion" and pointed to Crossroads Bar. They consulted
one another and decided that Grace must have done the sign, because the
reunion was being held in Heaven and they went into the bar to find her!
Once inside, the door slammed shut and the lock engaged and they were
trapped! Crossroads went up in flames as Asa stood outside and gleefully
told them that they're reunion was going to be in 'Hell'!

SCARLET'S ABODE!

Colin tried to tell them that 'Scarlet' had been a friend he'd known.
Sam told him that Bo used to call Nora 'Red', wasn't it a coincidence,
his having a friend with a name like that! He yelled that he would like
to 'take all of Colin's words and stuff them back down his throat but he
wasn't going to' do that! Todd jumped up and said that 'he would!', but
Sam stopped him. He suggested that they leave him 'for the boys at the
State Penn!' He told Colin that if he'd looked out his window, front or
back, he would have seen two gray cars. Private Detectives, who had
watched Colin's every move. They had seen him go to five different
hospital emergency rooms in twenty-four hours! Colin said it was for
research! Sam warned him ominously that he had had Nora there, and he was
 going to pay!

SOPHIA'S TRICK SPAGHETTI!

As she served Antonio, the spaghetti dropped onto his lap and he jumped
up! It  stained the new shirt he put on for dinner. Sophia grabbed the
towel, and knelt in front of him to get at the stain across his abdomen.
She began to feel 'warm' and mentioned, stammered, that he had 'strong
abs', and she began losing all coherence! Antonio had rendered her
'speechless'...

LLANFAIR LOVES...

Viki thanked everyone for their support through her illness. She gave
each of her children hugs, kisses and warm words of love. When she came
to Ben, she was nearly at a loss. She told him she had tried to shut him
out of her life, because she thought if he knew about her illness, he
would treat her 'differently'. Ben said he wanted to spend the rest of
his life with her, and she said it was a 'deal'!

NIGHTMARE WITHIN...

Asa heard noises coming from inside Crossroads and looked in the window.
He saw his entire family and Matthew, inside, having a party and dancing!
He knocked, then banged on the door, calling out to them to let him in,
he was 'family!' No one heard, and then Asa heard the voice of Max. He
said that Asa still 'had him'. Max was all dressed in a red suit, black
shirt and tie...

RISING TEMPERATURES!

Sophia announced that she was 'hot!' She demanded that Antonio give her
his shirt so she could get the stain out! As he gave her the shirt she
was breathing heavily, and she walked with it to the freezer and stuck
her head inside! Antonio escorted her to a stool, where she sat and tried
to cool off. She asked him if he'd heard about what happened to the two
cops at work. She told him they had had an affair and were both fired.
Antonio said he was aware of it and he thought they had acted in a very
unprofessional manner!

NIGHTMARE LANE!


Asa, was happy to see Max, who smiled at him, and said that the trouble
was, he wasn't his son!

Inside the bar, Asa's 'family' lined up around the bar. Asa and Max
appeared inside, and one by one, the family in turn, laughed at him and
mocked him! He insisted that Max was his son! Sam pointed a gun at him
and he told Asa that since 'he' was bulletproof he wanted to find out if
Max was too! Asa said 'No!' but a shot rang out!

BEN'S 'WARM' IDEA...

Ben told Viki that he wanted to begin planning their wedding, but she
wasn't up to dealing with it just then. He asked how she felt about
buying some tickets. To where, she wanted to know, and he suggest
Florida! She was very happy, remembering the suite they had shared on
their last visit. She asked him when they could leave! Kelly wished them
well, and Viki thanked her for staying. She said goodnight to the room,
but Joey just looked at her. As she walked to the front door, Kevin
watched her...

BACK AT SAM'S

Sam asked Todd if he thought anyone knew where Nora was, but Todd changed
the subject. Sam told him that he was sorry for the way he'd treated him,
and said that he 'did care' about him. He asked Todd for his 'gut
feeling' about Nora, did he think that Sam was nuts for believing Nora
was alive? Todd said no, in fact, he said he would tell Sam 'why' he
didn't think he was nuts...

LLANFAIR LADY

Kevin stalled Kelly at the door, and asked if she were leaving. She said
she was, that her coming by had been a 'one time thing'. She told him
that Joey was hurting, and did he know they were getting a divorce. He
told her that he knew. She said they couldn't see each other,  couldn't
'do that to Joey, it would be a slap in the face'.  It was over, it was
obvious. Kevin said that nothing was obvious, that every time he saw her,
he 'ached all over'. He started after her when she went out the door, but
stopped himself. He closed the door, and placed his head and his palms,
on the door... Joey watched his brother from the library doorway.

Jessica and Cristian were outside, where he tried to teach her how to
shoot the basketball into the hoop.

ANTONIO'S LOT...

As Antonio tried to help Sophia calm herself, she asked him what they
were going to 'do', in reference to the 'attraction' between them. He
questioned her remark "do about what?" he asked. She looked crestfallen
and he then got the impression that she wanted a change of partners! She
insisted she was happy with the pairing and he said that he was too! He
told her that his 'soon-to-be-ex' was a cop... She looked at him,
understood his words, and expressed her anguish that his wife had an
affair with her partner! He asked if she would mind calling it a day. He
said that her pasta was the best he'd had in a long time and she beamed
at him! She admitted it was the only thing she knew how to make! She said
she was either taking his shirt home to wash it, or she was going to buy
him a new shirt! He let her take it with her...

SAM'S PLACE

Sam wanted to know why Todd didn't think he was 'nuts' for believing that
Nora was alive. Todd tried to explain himself, mentioning Sam and Nora's
'connection'. He told Sam he wasn't nuts, and he shouldn't care what the
rest of the world thought! Sam got a call from the detective, and said he
would be right over. He told Todd that a man in Cherryvale thought he had
seen a woman fitting Nora's description, boarding a bus to Reading. He
said he was going to head for Cherryvale first...

LLANFAIR FAREWELLS

Joey and Kevin were leaving for the night and they told Viki and Ben to
have a good time in Florida. Kevin yelled to Ben "Bye Dad!" and Ben shot
back "Don't sass me son!"

NIGHTMARE IN WHITE!

Asa's family was dressed all in white as they stood in formation at the
bar. Every one of them held a gun, and they intended to shoot Max. Sam
told Asa that it was his 'day of reckoning'! They all aimed and fired and
little red flags shot out of the guns that said "Bang!", but Max was
struck, and fell to the ground. Asa began hearing voices, telling him
that Max wasn't his son, and he struggled with this information, as he
finally awoke!

SAM'S DEPARTURE...

Sam came downstairs with bag in hand and Melanie came in. He asked her to
watch Matthew for him, that he was going to look for Nora. He said he
believed that Lindsay and Colin were behind the whole thing, and would
she please not let them or Asa near Matthew for any reason! She agreed,
and Sam left, not saying where he was going...

FINAL MOMENTS...

Colin stood over Nora's bed, wondering aloud where 'Scarlet' was, he
wishing someone would give him a clue!

Nora lay in bed at the 'convent?' Todd entered the room and asked if she
had missed him! He told her that the whole thing might work out better
than he had planned..Nora lay, still and silent...
