ANTONIO HELPS SOPHIA 'EVEN THE SCORE'

At the Llanview Police Academy, the essay scores were being announced to
the trainees. Sophia got 54/100%, Antonio 98/100%.Sophia asked John for
another chance, that she froze under pressure. He insisted that he could
not give her special treatment and instructed her to call him "Lieutenant
Sykes" in the classroom. The next test given was for speed, strength and
agility. Sophia failed again, and asked for a retry. Sykes explained that
an exception could not be made. She asked if that meant she was 'out'. He
told her that she had one more chance, if she could pass the test in one
week's time, she could remain in the program.

Sophia began practicing the fitness test, but the rope climb kept eluding
her. Antonio watched silently as she landed on her rear. She seemed
determined not to let it be the end of her career choice! He walked over
and offered his hand. She looked up at him, and he explained that the
rope had a 'trick' to it and demonstrated it. Sophia tried his method and
made it. Jubilantly, she smiled and hugged Antonio, who hugged back. They
looked at each other with what appeared to be new eyes...

SAID THE SPIDER TO THE FLY...

Blair bragged to Skye that she and Max had joined the 'Mile High Club'
and told her that she had 'won'. Skye told Blair she knew she was
plotting against Max, and she would prove it. As Blair was bragging, Max
came in...Skye turned to him and asked if he had slept with Blair. When
he didn't  answer, she left the room and he went after her. He found her
in the wine cellar. Skye told him that she was the mistress in a
pointless war, that she became so angry in the cellar she almost exposed
both him and Blair!

Max told Skye that he was unable to kick Blair out because she could go
to Asa too, and he still had feelings for her. He had a history with
Blair. Skye asked about a future and Max said he didn't know. Skye told
him she wouldn't settle for half a man, that when Max came to her, it
would be for 'real love' and nothing less... She asked to be alone,
unless, he was ready to commit to her then? When there was no answer, she
told him Blair was betraying him. "Maybe", he said, and left.
While Skye and Max were talking, Blair was upstairs at Asa's computer,
wearing a smile.

THE DEVIL AND SAM RAPPAPORT...

Sam waved as Matthew left for his day at the park. He turned around and
Todd was on his couch. He had come seeking legal help. Sam told him to
get out. Todd mentioned his crimes, he'd sent R.J. a 'fake bomb', there'd
been a 'tiny little gas leak' in his apartment, and then he stepped in
front of a bullet which he'd accidentally shot at him which had clearly
been R.J.'s fault!

Sam asked where Tea was. Todd said she'd left him, he didn't know where
she was. He said he didn't betray her, or lie to her or use her. She had
left him a note, telling him that everyone in Llanview had been right
about him. He didn't 'do anything' to Tea. Sam asked if that had been the
problem...

THE PRODIGAL SON?

Todd said he wanted to 'come home', that he wasn't asking for a friend,
just a lawyer. Sam refused. Todd said he'd go to Nora. Sam told him that
Nora was dead, and Todd said "Did you have her killed?" Sam grabbed him
and shook him hard! Todd said he didn't know that Sam had loved Nora. Sam
stated that he wouldn't give Todd his help if his life depended on it!
Todd asked "What if your little boy's did?"

He told Sam how he'd run into Will, Jess and Cris too, but Sam said that
he "didn't want to know"! Sam warned him to keep his distance from Will,
that all his trust in Todd was long gone... Todd said that he understood,
only 'Sam' was perfect! He reminded Sam that 'he' was a father too! Sam
told him again that he wouldn't help him. Todd said he was sorry for
Sam's dead friend.

ALL THE NEWS...ALL THE TIME...

Rae was busy working at Viki's desk as Kevin walked in. She said she
wasn't getting anywhere in her search for her daughter. She noticed that
Kevin seemed down and he said that he missed Grace. Sitting on the desk,
she suddenly realized there was a new note from Daniel! In it, he
apologized and asked her to meet him at the Palace Restaurant at noon. He
said that she would find her daughter, because she was just like her
mother, with her eyes and smile, and that he couldn't  keep it from her
any longer... Kevin wanted to go with her, but she declined his offer. He
made her promise to take John Sykes.

KEVIN AND MRS. JOEY BUCHANAN

Kelly walked in and told Kevin that she'd found his note in the trash.
She accused Kevin of wanting Joey to 'find out' about them! Kevin told
her he couldn't be expected to 'have his wits about him' after she'd
kissed him like that! She apologized. He said he could see that she
wasn't happy, working late, stalling seeing Joey. He said they had a lot
between them and maybe they should let everyone know. Kelly insisted she
was happy and told him she was pregnant! Pregnant?! A disbelieving Kevin
yelled, "You don't Do that!" Kelly told him that she and Joey were
"trying" and she didn't know if she really was pregnant. She reminded him
that he'd said he had no feelings for her, that every time she went to
him, he rejected her and told her to go back to Joey, so she did! "I
married him!" she said tearfully... At that moment, Rae and Sykes burst
into the room...

DANIEL'S LAST BLUFF?

Rae related that Daniel had 'done it again'! Rae's 'daughter' had been a
sixty-five year old woman! Sykes suggested setting a trap for Daniel, to
stop him. Kevin suggested 'reverse torture', making Daniel lose his
leverage. "What if he thought you had already found your daughter?" It
might force him into the open. Rae wondered aloud where she would find
someone to play her daughter. Surprisingly, Kelly volunteered...
