Information Message for All Fans of OLTL

As of today, the couple campaign to support the characters of Sam and Nora and Todd and Blair has been officially removed off this site on About.com and on to the Official Web sites only. This move is not for journalistic reasons, as I am certainly entitled to my opinions. The reason this is being done is the risk of hurting the people I just want to help. (Which I will state again, it's not over anybody's job position on the show.) Please don't misunderstand my statement once again. Also, another reason is I have a lot more exciting things coming up, including more celebrity chat sessions, and some very exciting interviews with other Webmasters who are currently running various Official sites for the stars of OLTL.

I would also like to make an official apology to those fans who opposed this campaign and prefer different choices of couples on the show. I never wanted you to feel like your choices and opinions were not valid as much as mine, because they are! We are all fans of the show, and just like anything else we all have our own opinions on which direction the storylines should go, and who should be with whom, and so forth. It's personally what I think makes this whole business exciting to keep up with. Everyone I know has a different opinion on the show, and everyone has their favorites too. Some fan groups are larger than others, some much more vocal (which I learned first-hand...LOL), and some just stick to themselves. But we are all just fans which makes us equal, and nobody including myself, should dictate what you feel or want. Just as I wouldn't want somebody telling me how I should think.

Some how throughout this whole campaign, there is one thing I think many of us  seem to just forgot, and that is we should be celebrating the couples we love. Not fighting and bickering to each other just because we don't agree with each other's choices. I will admit, I too, got so caught up in promoting my choices that I denied those who opposed me an opportunity to present their opinions. It wasn't fair to you, and so I have decided to dedicate my entire OLTL Couples Forum on About.com to fans everywhere who just want to have their opinions heard too. It won't be a place to bash the people you don't like; it's a place to celebrate the ones you do!

I would personally like to invite those fans who have different choices than mine to come here and voice your opinion. It's your opportunity to talk about the couples you may want to see together, or perhaps you have some storyline ideas you would like to share with the rest of us.

Hey, at least we know we can all agree about one thing....we love watching One Life to Live, and isn't that why we are here to begin with? I'll be stopping in from time to time and would love to hear your comments. Keep it clean, and no bashing the actors, you know my rules after all.  ;-)  Other than that, it's your forum, and I want you to have this outlet to express yourselves. And who knows, I may just pick one of you for an exclusive interview on why you disagree with my choices for couples, so get ready, and I'll see you there.

One last comment, for the hundreds of people who have written me in the last few days I want you to know I have read each and every e-mail as it has come through my inbox. I'm trying to respond to as many of you as I can, but I do want you to know I sincerely appreciate your comments, even those who don't necessarily agree. After the statement I made about rude Internet fans, it has totally shocked me how many fans have written me to express the same concerns. It has made me realize just how many wonderful and respectful fans there really are, and I want to personally thank you. It has been so great to hear about so many of you, and how long you have watched the show, and such. You have lifted my spirits beyond what you may have even realized, and it may not be today, or tomorrow, but I will personally thank you with a return e-mail.

Now, let's just get back to watching the best soap opera on TV!
