How to Become Addicted to Your Favorite Soap Opera

If you have ever dreamed of becoming addicted to your favorite soap opera, here's how you can do it and fast.

Difficulty Level: easy      Time Required: 30 minutes

Here's How:
  1. Watch your favorite show faithfully everyday.
  2. Have your VCR programmed and ready to go if and when you need to leave the house.
  3. Have plenty of blank tapes nearby just incase you forgot to rewind yesterday's show after watching it.
  4. Get the new SoapNet cable channel so you can watch the entire week of soap operas even on the weekends.
  5. Buy every soap magazine available on the market.
  6. Subscribe to every soap related newsletter either online or through the regular mail.
  7. Join a fan club for your favorite soap star or character.
  8. Get your friends and family addicted to your favorite soap.
  9. Learn to do all your household chores during commercial breaks.
  10. Learn to fold laundry at the same time you watch soap operas.
  11. Have your kids take their afternoon naps at the same time your favorite soaps come on.
  12. Buy a big screen TV and home theater sound system to get the full effect.
  13. To enjoy the show even more, have plenty of snacks available for munching.
  14. Attend as many soap fan events as possible during the year.
  15. And finally, get so wrapped up in the lives of the characters that you forget about your own problems.
Tips:
  1. It's a good idea to get your spouse addicted to your favorite soap opera so when he/she comes home from work the first thing they want to know is the recap of the day's show.
  2. Always program your VCR to tape your show(s) when leaving on an extended trip.
  3. Have a box of tissues available for the "emotional" moments of the show.
