• Actor Larry Lau (ex-Sam Rappaport, OLTL) is currently in the off-Broadway play, Perfect Crime. Lau is taking over the role of Inspector James Ascher, whom most recently was played by Richard Shoberg (Tom Cudahy, AMC). Lau's performances end on June 13. • Daytime newcomer Javier Morga has been cast in the contract role as Tico Santi.

• It looks like Matthew Ashford (ex-Dr. Haver, OLTL, ex-Jack, DAYS) may be "returning from the dead," but not to Llanview! Ashford's DAYS character Jack Deveraux, who became a victim of the Salem Stalker is actually alive and is living on an island with the rest of the "victims."

• Gina Tognoni (ex-Kelly) is joining the cast of Guiding Light in the role of Dinah Marler. Tognoni, who has been living on the West coast, will be relocating to NYC and there are speculations her boyfriend Mark Derwin (ex-Ben, OLTL) will also be joining her.

• Lisa Lo Cicero (ex-Jocelyn, Loving/The City) has been recently cast in the new role of Sonia. The actress is scheduled to begin taping on May 21.

• John Loprieno (Cord) has returned to One Life to Live behind the scenes as a writer. Loprieno was a recent participant in ABC's writer-development program and was asked to write two episodes for the show. Loprieno's episodes will air on Monday, May 31 and Monday, June 7.
 

• Linda Dano (ex-Rae, OLTL) may be resurrecting her former Another World role as Felicia Gallant, but this time appearing on Guiding Light. However, this has not be confirmed by Proctor & Gamble, which owns both AW and GL. Dano has also been pitching a new talk show out West, but no news yet on whether it will be a go or not.

• Actress Patricia O'Connell is playing Todd's quirky secretary Mrs. Bigelow.

• Connor Paolo will be playing the role of Travis O'Connell. His first appearance was on Tuesday, April 20.

• Timothy Adams (Ron, Marcie's brother) returns to Llanview and will be interacting with Natalie.

• Rebecca Mader (ex-Morgan, AMC) is playing the role of Margaret, the accountant at Buchanan Enterprises and Todd's new friend he has been seeing. Her first airdate was on March 26.

• Laura Koffman reprises her role as Cassie Cramer when she returns to Llanview to assist her mom Dorian through her own problems.

• Kathy Tong has been cast in the recurring role of FBI agent Kathryn Fitzgerald (John's ex-fiancé's sister). Her first appearance was on Friday, April 9.

• David Tom (ex-Billy, Y&R) real-life brother of Heather Tom (Kelly Cramer) has assumed the role of Paul Cramer - half-sister to Kelly. Although the actor was hesitate to relocate from L.A. to New York it sounds like his sister Heather helped convince him to do it.

• Another McBain comes to Llanview! Daytime newcomer Danneel Harris has been cast in the contract role of Shannon McBain, who will be Michael and John's cousin. Harris' first episode was on March 2.

• Lisa Barnes is playing the role of John and Michael McBain's mother, Eve.
