At the Hook Up, Antonio narrowly escapes running into Jess. Evangeline's client is the accountant of the Hook Up, and he needs her investigate a possible laundering operation. Hidden from view, Antonio spies another guy hitting on Jess. He almost steps in, but Evangeline holds him back.

Paul tells Nat he's done some things in his life that he's not too proud of. She says if it makes him feel any better, she's probably done worse. She says when she discovered she was a Buchanan, she made Jess' life Hell, but Paul says he bets he's been worse to his sis. Kelly arrives and talks to Paul, while Nat heads for the hotel room to wait for him. Kelly asks Paul, "What is Kevin going to find out from Adam Chandler? Did you get Ace from someone in Pine Valley?"

Evangeline tells Antonio that she hopes this investigation doesn't compromise his relationship with Jess. She doesn't want to be responsible for anything that makes Jess not trust him. Jess tells Marcie and Jen that she almost danced with the guy who was hitting on her, but she's totally committed to Antonio. After a foot-in-mouth comment from Jen about Joey, Jen apologizes to Jess, but Jess says she knows Jen is trying to change. Jess says she knows she wants to marry Antonio, but she wants to get to a point in her life where she doesn't feel like she has completely lost herself in his life.

Michael tells John that Marcie has been taking care of him like crazy, and while Michael was in the hospital, all Marcie could think about was Al (and the way he died). However, somehow she pulled herself out of it, and quit dwelling on the past. "Did she say how?" John asks him. Michael says that Marcie would probably say that every once in awhile something just comes along and pushes her in the right direction, and somehow she learned to live without Al. John replies, "I think I'm getting the same push. I haven't made the leap though." Michael tells him to take the leap. It'll be worth it.

A nervous Kelly tells Paul she knows the helicopter crash has something to do with her baby. Paul lewdly tells her that she wouldn't have Ace if it weren't for him. As he steps into the elevator, Kelly yells that she wishes she never knew she had a brother, and she wishes he was dead. David steps up from behind and says he heard their argument. "What did you hear?" she asks. "I heard enough," he replies.

At Capricorn, John drinks a beer while he stares at a picture of Caitlin. Nora asks him if he's waiting for someone, and he says no. He's trying to say goodbye to someone. Meanwhile, Nat and Paul look like they're about to enjoy a close encounter in his hotel room. Michael dreams that Dr. Long attacks him. When he wakes up, he finds a broken window.
