From Kaydee, for About.com

Todd is pacing the floor as Blair naps on the couch, willing the kidnapper to call already. Blair jolts out of her sleep, screaming in terror. He rushes over to comfort her, and she tells him that she dreamt she just missed Starr at the park. Todd tells her that she should go upstairs and try to sleep on a real bed. She says she can't sleep, she can't even breathe. She gets frustrated, and screams out why haven't they called? It's been 24 hours already! Todd tries to keep her calm, saying the kidnappers are just messing with them. Bo enters, and she rushes over to him. He tells her that there's no news on Starr, and there's not much more the LPD can do. Maybe it's time they call the FBI. NO! Todd says. Why not, Todd? Blair screams, don't you want her back! Yes, but alive. Bo, if you or your men do anything to screw this up, I'll...the phone rings and Todd races to answer it. Bo stops him. Wait! Let me activate the trace first..Okay, now. Todd picks up, there's no answer from the other end. Todd thinks it's Starr, and tells her to try and drop a hint as to where she is. The caller hangs up.

Blair is more distraught that before. She goes out in the hall and sits on the steps. Memories of her and Starr during happier days flash through her mind. Back inside, a nerve-wracked Todd tries to distract himself from his fears by talking to Bo. Isn't this ironic? Todd says, you hate me, but you're helping me. I'm doing my job, Bo replies. Yeah, but everyone has to pay their bill sometime. Bo assures him that Starr's disappearance is no payback. Todd is shaky, but tries to maintain control. He tells Bo that he should have stayed dead, and none of this would have happened. Bo tells Todd that he himself has been exactly where Todd is right now, and he can NOT blame himself. No matter what anyone says about Todd, Bo says, he loves his daughter. Todd looks at Bo, and says, very close to tears...

"Bo, I'm sorry for...I'm sorry. Look, you gotta find her, and bring her back safe. I can't lose her!" Blair, who's standing in the doorway, is sad for him. She tells him that she will go up and take a nap, and Todd tells her, good idea. I'll call you if we hear anything. She goes upstairs, the bell rings. It's Travis. Bo lets him in, and he boldly stares into the glares of both men and says: "I want to help."

Have you heard from Starr? Bo asks. No, he replies. "THEN WHAT ARE YOU DOING HERE?" Todd snaps. I want to help, Travis pleads. Bo asks if he knows a guy named Laser, he says no. Blair screams and Todd races upstairs. Travis begins to follow, but Bo stops him.

Todd finds Blair shaken, she keeps seeing these terrible images of Starr in her head. Oh, God, they're...I don't want to talk about it. Then don't, Todd says. Here, lay down. He turns to leave, and she pleads for him to stay with her. He does, and they lay side-by-side on the bed. Blair says she wants to talk...about anything that will keep her from thinking about Starr. He never told her what happened when he was in Victor's crypt. How did he get out? How did he survive?

He tells her he thought about her. She's touched. He tells her of being dumped on the side of the road by Mitch Lawrence's brood, a majority of his bones broken. It was why the plastic surgery was performed. It was then that he got the idea to get a new face, and be a new person. Someone she wouldn't recognize but for the love he had. He tells her that he loved her soooo much, and still does. It seemed like a good idea at the time, but now... Starr is paying for it. Maybe he should have stayed gone, and let her have her life. Just as Blair is about to contest that theory, the phone rings, and Todd jumps six feet in the air and races full speed down the steps. The rest of the clan follows. Bo activates the trace and Todd picks up. "It's him," Todd informs them, then speaks into the receiver.

"Yeah, I got your money. Tell me what to do...."
