LOONVIEW TEEN BEAT: A NEW DAWN!

Okay, this storyline is all-inclusive of most of the teens, so bear with me, people.

First, as mentioned above, Riley is off at Angel Square playing his guitar. He's obviously thinking....HARD! The teens are back at that place that Midnight Logic calls a studio and are playing some very loud hard rock music. A man comes in and yells at them for being disruptively loud, and Shannon, who is leading a rather intoxicated mob onstage, yells at the man to "Go to hell". She inspires the others to join in her chant, and the man runs off.

Riley, who'd joined them, immediately turns to leave, but Jen stops him. Come on, the party just began. Not for me. He leaves, and Jen runs after him. She demands that he tell her what's wrong. A little later, the party disburses, and Riley and Jen go back inside. He is annoyed with the condition in which the place was left, and Jen tells him they got a bit out of hand, it's no big deal. It is to him, he says. Jen presses him to fess up. He tells her that he knows what it's like to be out of control, he used to be right in the thick of it, and he didn't like it. She asks if he's worried he'll get back into drugs. He says ALWAYS! Isn't she worried? About drinking again? She tells him that he's there to keep her clean. He tells her that he didn't get into music for the sex, drugs and rock and roll, like a lot of people do. She tells him like it or not, it's part of it. He says he wrote music to connect with people. For him, that's how he gets his rush. Later, Jen sits alone, and Shannon returns to the scene of the crime. Hey, man, where's the party? Jen tells her everyone left. That's ok, we'll have our own party. Nope, not me, Jen says. Whoa, hold on here! I thought that you loved a good time? Yep, I used to, but what does it get you? Loneliness, bitterness, anger and a killer hangover. It's just emptiness for me. I'm headed home.

River sits in Angel Square, leaving a message on Adriana's voice mail for the umpteenth time. He's sorry, he wants to make things work, please call me back. He sits down sadly, and Travis comes up asking for directions to La Boulet. River begins to help him, then recognizes his face from the papers. Travis prepares to bolt, but River grabs him and slams him against the fence. What did you do to Starr, you little punk? Travis starts rambling the details of the sequence of events in NY, telling River that he really cares for Starr, and wants to help find her. All they wanted to do was be together, and he'll do anything for her. River softens, understanding the kid's feelings from personal experience, and gives him the directions he needed. Travis flees, and River turns to see Adriana.

I got your message, she says. He immediately pitches his apologies. Kissing Shannon was a one-time thing and meant nothing. I vowed to love, honor and obey you forever, and you returned the vows. When I make love to anyone, I want it to be you. Please give me another chance. She softens and they kiss, just as Shannon turns the corner to get a full view.

LLANVIEW COMEDY SKIT!

Although this storyline deals with a serious issue, because it's Roxy and Nigel, you cannot help but be amused. No more delays, here we go.

Roxy enters Capricorn and makes her usual Roxy-like comments about Natalie's snazzy threads making her one of the uptown members. Just as quickly as Roxy smiles, she catches a glimpse of a strange man that entered the club, and she hits the floor beneath the bar. Nigel turns and is baffled by her disappearance. A little later, Roxy realizes that the man is gone and jumps back up to her feet. Nigel looks at her strangely, and she says she thought she lost her hearing. Nigel asks if she thought she'd find it on the floor, and she grins. Nigel tells her to stop kidding and fess up. Is she in some kind of trouble? Yeah, she's in trouble alright! a voice calls from behind Nigel.

Nigel stands up in the man's face and says that if he has any trouble with Miss Balsam, he most certainly will have to go through Nigel first! The man is amused, but chooses not to meet Nigel's challenge. Instead, he tells Roxy that she has no time left to pay Vinny back, before Vinny gives her a makeover. He leaves, and Nigel asks who Vinny is. Roxy says a not so nice guy that that goon works for. And he does makeovers? Nigel asks. Yeah, and let me tell ya, they ain't pretty, Roxy replies. Nigel tells her to make sense, and she fesses up to her gambling addiction. Nigel tells her that the hotel has drained him of his personal assets, but he'll think of something. You'll HELP ME! Roxy says, jumping up and kissing him. Oh, thank you! Nigel sternly warns her that she has to kick the habit of gambling...fast!

And now, the finale...
