One Life to Live Recap for Wednesday, April 14, 2004

Well, some of you wrote me about the April 1st recap, complimenting me on catching you good with my heading..Well, to those of you who had a good laugh..you're welcome. I'll be attempting to bring you more laughs every Monday, Wednesday and Thursday until my editor gets tired of my sarcasm and kicks me off the site. Okay let's move on. Buckle up.

KRAMER-MANNING MADNESS:

We open in the Manning Manor. There's a very chaotic atmosphere as workmen bustle about their renovation duties and Dorian is barking orders at them like a madwoman. About two minutes into the scene, Blair comes spiraling down the stairs, screaming that Starr is missing. Dorian screams for everyone to stop what they're doing to look for Starr.

Flash over to the Lord Mansion...

Todd is visiting his big sister and the doorbell rings. He goes to open it, and is surprised to see Starr there. He's further baffled when she runs right past him after sputtering some half-sentence about Todd being there because Aunt..and goes straight into Viki's arms. She squeezes her aunt tightly, saying that she's so glad. Viki says: OOOKKKAAAYYYY..glad about what? That you're still alive!

Both Todd and Viki stare at each other ruefully, realizing that they're dealing with a very frightened little girl, and Viki takes her niece into the parlor to find out what she knows. Starr tells her that Matthew said she was writing a new will because she was really sick and could die. Viki tells her that he was only half right. She has a little problem with her heart, but if she follows her doctor's orders to the letter, she'll be just fine. Todd makes a Manning-style quip to his daughter. He tells her, "Yeah, look at Asa. He's had more heart attacks than he's had wives, and he's still kicking!" Viki chuckles in agreement. As they continue their conversation, Todd's cell phone rings, and it's Blair, looking for Starr. Todd tells her that Starr is indeed here at Viki's, and explains why she's there. Blair is relieved, and she asks Todd if he wants her to pick Starr up. He tells her that he can do it, and to his surprise, she says thank God she's with you. She hangs up and informs Dorian to call off the search for Starr, briefly explaining the situation.
