TODD/BLAIR/VIKI: THE "LORD" INTERVENES!

Okaaay, folks! Roll up your sleeves, pop open a can of soda pop, coffee, Vodka, gin..whatever you do to enjoy the climax of a show! If you don't know by now, my favorite couple is Todd and Blair, although Roger Howarth is still the only Todd I'll recognize. Buckle up, here we go!

Viki is canvassing the Llanfair grounds. As she approaches Victor's tomb, she hears loud sobbing. She calls out, "Hello?", but no one replies. She slowly enters, and finds Blair, sitting on the floor beside Victor's coffin...(someone PUHLEEZE tell me how to spell the word that that thing is REALLY called?)

Viki is very worried, and she tries desperately to calm a panicked Blair and find out what's wrong. Through body-wracking sobs, Blair manages to belt out: "What..if..the..doctors..were...right?

What..if..I...remembered...things...wrong...because...of...the.. ...tumor? Oh, Viki...WHAT HAVE I DONE?"

Viki's heart breaks as she sees Blair's raw pain and confusion. She listens as Blair recalls her terror the night she overheard Mitch Lawrence command his goons to put Todd in the coffin, and leave him to die. She recalled how she frantically ran to get help, and when she arrived with Bo, the tomb was empty. She goes on to describe how torturing a fight it was within her to accept that Todd was dead, but eventually, she DID accept it. She had vowed never to fall in love again...(just to fool around with Sam and Troy as she saw fit). Anyway, Viki begins to tell her just how much of a real chance she and Todd still has. She tries to convince Blair to realize the value of the type of love that she and Todd have. Blair is resilient in her protests, that Todd always remains the lying son-of-a-(BLEEP!) That he always was. He came back, but as Walker. He made her fall in love with Walker for the mature, loving adult that he was who loved her and her children. And for the first time in a long time, she was happy again.

Viki reminds her that it was Todd who did all those things that made her happy. And in Todd's mind, coming back as someone else, after several cosmetic operations, was better for his family. In a way, the operations took the old Todd away. Blair said he had no right to do that. He should have faced her, as himself. Viki bluntly asks Blair to be honest. If he had, what would she have done? Blair's mind wanders off, and we viewers see her vision of what might have happened if he returned to her as Todd. She's shocked at first, then happy, and she embraces him.

Viki asks Blair to share what she's thinking..right at that moment. Blair admits that she would have embraced him and never let him go again. Then Blair breaks into sobs and says repeatedly..

"I COULD HAVE BEEN HAPPY, VIKI! I COULD HAVE BEEN HAPPY!" Viki again, reminds her that she still can be. They go into Viki's house a bit later, and Blair is calmer now. She tells Viki that everyone knew Walker was really Todd, except her, and yet no one told her. Not even Viki. Viki tells her that she felt it was Todd's place to do it, so that Blair would have an open path to forgive him. As it happens, Blair won't forgive him since she found out about it through Sam. Viki, wise one as she is, asks Blair to be honest with herself. Is it possible that Blair knew all along that Walker was really Todd, but to admit that to herself would mean that she would fell she had to let him go, and maybe she wasn't willing to do that?

(OOPS! Blair has no answer!) She tries to change the subject, but all conversation ends when Todd's voice screams out for Viki from the next room. Blair panics, and begs Viki to hide her. She can't face Todd right now..she just can't!
