The Music Box Mix!

First, there's John and Natalie, kissing...(WOO-HOO!) Okay, I don't really like her with anyone but Cris, but if I HAD to choose, weeellllll...back to the trip..Okay. She gets embarrassed and pulls away. Apologizing, she runs out of the room, while he tries to call her back. After a few seconds, he heads out to find her, but she's only gotten as far as outside his door. They talk, and they come to an understanding that John really, really REALLY cares about her, but he's too afraid to put her in danger by becoming involved wit hher. That's why, he feels, that Caitlin died. Nat asks him to please forget it ever happened.....

Marcie and the McBains, (Eve and Mike), happily greet each other as Eve prepares for her debut at The Capricorn. Eve confesses that she has a bit of stage fright coming on, and asks for John. Apparently, there was a misunderstanding in who was too invite him, and she happily accepts the assignment of inviting him personally as an excuse to get some air and gather up her nerves. She heads to the hotel room and finds him with Natalie. Assuming she interrupted a private moment, she apologizes. They both tell her it's okay, and she extends the invitation to her son, who in turn, invites Natalie. Later, Eve performs a sultry, beautiful song that hadn't fallen on any deaf ears in the crowd.

Stephen Haver is visited by his lawyer, who wants to go over the trial defense strategy once more before the trial begins. He busily scribbles notes as he gives Haver some specific instructions. No grandstanding with the press. All he has to do is keep his mouth shut, and getting him off with an insanity plea will be a cinch. So, you believe I'm crazy? Stephen asks. No, but it's your best chance. Stephen's eyes gorw dark and distnat, as thoughts and schemes run through his mind. He pulls out a flat envelope and asks his lawyer to deliver it to the name listed on the front. The lawyer asks him what it is, and he settles the lawyer's suspicions by explaining, in a very general manner, that it's just some instructions on what to do with his financial assets. Nothing he needs to bother with. The lawyer, who's probably too swamped to investigate any further, accepts both the explanation and the envelope and tosses it in his briefcase. He leaves the briefcase open on the cot next to Stephen as he bends to retrieve something he dropped, and we viewers see Haver taking a great interest in the legal pad, filled with scribbled notes in his lawyer's penmanship.

Flash back to Puerto Rico, Jessica has entered the room. Just as she flings off some outer garment and hangs it up, her cell phone rings. She answers it, and after a few unanswered hellos, she hears a man humming a Lullaby on the phone. She calls out to Dr . Haver,? He stops humming long enough to reply. She barks out, What do you want? He tells her that he wants to say goodbye.

Later, she runs into Antonio's arms, telling him about the phone call. Antonio assures her that he will not get access to another phone in prison, and he won't be getting out of prison either.

Flash to the holding cell, Bo approaches Haver rudely and threatens to destroy him if he pulls another stunt like the one he pulled today. Haver smiles creepily, and tells the commissioner that he wants to know why John isn't being disciplined for assaulting him. Bo smugly tells him that those charges had been dropped, since the bruises were self-inflicted. Haver tells him if he can deliver a message to John. Bo barks for him to deliver the message to John himself, because he's leaving. When he goes to court to be convicted of murder and many other things, he'll have face-to-face time with John. Bo leaves, and John whispers evilly at the commish's retreating figure....

"Oh, I'm looking forward to it!"
