TO CATCH A KILLER:
Bo and John brush up on their shooting skills as they continue their discussion about Haver. John reassures him that he won't let Haver slip through his fingers again, and Bo tells John to be careful not to let it get personal. John quotes the old police rule that taking a case personally will consume you, and Bo says that he's worried about his niece. John assure Bo that Jess will be in the best of hands...Bo says he was referring to Natalie.
Flash to Todd..The nurse returns with a doctor wielding a tranquilizer. Todd asks him what the needle is for, and the doctor says it's the solution to patients who scream at nurses. Todd tells him that he'll participate, so ax the needle. But there's a catch. The doctor is going to tell him everything he knows about the brain tumor. They get into the possible effects on the affected person's perception of things. The doctor says that they may see things differently, but that's not unusual. If six people were asked to describe the same scenario, they'd all describe it differently, and they'd all usually be wrong. Todd stubbornly mutters, "I'm not."
Back to Blair. Addy asks her if Todd hurt her, and she says that she's not in the hospital because of Todd. Addy happily squeals that she knew the sisters made a mistake. Todd would never hurt her...never. He loves her so much. She must have made am stake. She's getting paranoid, and Blair is feeling really guilty now. Addy starts reminiscing about the old times with Todd, and jealous Kevin interrupts her with a piece of pie as a distraction.
Flash over to Todd, the doctor's words, and a flashback of New Year's Eve with Blair haunt his thoughts. He snaps out of it and barks for the guard to bring him a phone to call his lawyer.
John and Bo are determined to make the world make sense again, and they want to start by catching Haver. Bo tells John that he patiently awaits that opportunity in the net few hours, and John says the hardest part is getting him to come. Bo senses John's apprehension, and he asks him if he thinks that Haver will back out of the meeting. John says he just has a feeling that there's something they're missing.
Viki is still laughing at the Adriana situation, and Dorian is growing more annoyed by the second. After the laughter ends, Viki tells her that she came by to try and convince her to agree to stay out of the rape affair. Dorian says no way, but Viki reminds her that Blair doesn't need any more pressure. She heads to leave, just as David arrives. He tells her to leave a week from Friday open for their wedding, and Viki disgustedly asks if Dorian is pregnant with another long-lost daughter before she leaves.
Later, she delivers the research Blair had requested and they chat a bit about the whole scenario. Is she having doubts about the events of that night? No, Blair replies, I'm positive about what happened. We watched Todd torture himself for nearly a decade over what he did to Marty. And you think he could never do it again? Blair asks. NO, but if he had done it, he would be suicidal by now, and he keeps saying that he didn't do it, and he loves you. Did it ever occur to you that he may be lying?
Viki leaves it at that, and hands her the research, telling her that she'll suppose Blair will read it, and if it pertains to her, she'll know what to do.
Michael/Marcie
These two are getting close to my heart. Although there wasn't any suspenseful plots going on with them, with the exception of John arriving to ask Mike if he's heard from their mom, and passing on his fear that something is wrong, we viewers watch as they share intimate moments over a murder mystery book that Marcie thinks is unrealistic. The conversation evolves to include shared details of their pasts. Their awkward high school geek years, their passion for certain hobbies, etc. The magic of Al and Marcie is still very much alive.
One final part to go...
Asa and Roxy get into a bit of a spat, and she angrily storms off after Nigel tels her to cal off the protest. She tells him that he's a fool and Asa is going to chew him up and spit him out. Nigel apologizes to Asa, telling him that he knew nothing about Roxy's plans, and he only came to offer his congratulations. He's offered them, and now he'll be on his way. Mschievious Asa tells him to come in and sit for a spell, what's the hurry?
