Natalie is banging on Jessica's door and there is no answer. She tells her escort that she smells coffee in there and she continues to bang. She yells that she is going to call the cops if she doesn't open the door. Jess comes to the door and says that she is interviewing someone for the Banner so Nat leaves. Jessica says being Natalie is John’s friend she knew she shouldn't let her in. She says she didn't tell her he was there. He thanks her.

Michael tells John that he looks terrible. He goes into Bo's office ignoring him and Marcie. He takes a file off Bo's desk and goes to lie on the couch. Marcie explains to Michael that John is stressed over the case, he is chasing a killer. Michael points out that he is chasing her around 2 date books. His pager goes off and he goes back to the hospital.

Dorian asks how dare Paul barge in like that and accuses him of drinking. David points out that Aunt Betsy wants an unmarried Cramer woman. He asks if they are in the living room. They argue and Aunt Betsy comes out. Paul tells her that Dorian and David are keeping things from her that she should know. He tells her that Adriana eloped last week to get married. She turns and looks at her. Evangeline walks in to see Todd.

Steven is glad his picture isn't plastered on the papers yet. Jess offers to go to the station with him. He tells her that his car is in the shop and he took a cab to get there. He wants to drive to the station together. She tells him not only is that ok, but he can drive. He puts a look on his face that only says "it can't be this easy". John is dozing and he is dreaming about him and Caitlin. Someone comes in the room and shoots her. He looks and it is Steven. When he looks at the bed it isn't Caitlin anymore, it's Natalie. Knocking at the door wakes him. It's Natalie. She isn't sure, but she has a bad feeling about Jessica.

Viki gets to Dorian's to pick up Starr. The rest of the household is arguing. Aunt Betsy asks if Adriana is married. Adriana says that she isn't married, but Paul says that is only because Dorian and David stopped her for the money. Dorian tries to explain to Aunt Betsy but when she sees her hand she stops her to ask about the ring. Dorian says it is what she thinks it is. David and she are engaged but they stopped Adriana from getting married because she is so innocent, virginal and only 16. She was being led astray by a wicked man. Adriana thinks she is talking about River, but she is talking about Paul. David tells Aunt Betsy to ask Paul who was with them, encouraging them to get married so he can keep the money. She says she is disgusted by him, she thought he abhorred marriage as much as she did. She asks Adriana if she is still planning to marry.

Todd tells Evangeline why he fired her and she is walking out. She tells him that he is fired. He tells her that he dug his own grave. She says the jury is still out and he can be found innocent. He says he needs to prepare his appeal. She tells him to find a lawyer. He tells her he needs her and asks her to please help him.

Adriana tells Aunt Betsy that she has no plans right now to get married. Aunt Betsy tells her that she must never marry if she makes her the heir. Adriana says that she understands that. Aunt Betsy announces that she is making Adriana her heir. Everyone but Paul is happy. Viki asks Starr to stay overnight because Todd wants her to smooth things over with Blair. Blair comes down and asks Viki what she is doing there being she said she can keep Starr for the night. She asks her to leave. Viki says that she will pick Starr up in the morning and Starr storms upstairs. Paul says that this isn't over. Dorian tells Aunt Betsy that she is making the right decision. Aunt Betsy tells her that anyone that would marry David is an idiot. Dorian says that he has splendid qualities. Aunt Betsy tells her to name one and she says he is a good lover. She says that she shouldn't be discussing it with Aunt Betsy because she never experienced that pleasure. Aunt Betsy thanks the lord for that. Dorian says that if she had experienced it, she would be thanking the lord. She says that you don't need to be an animal to enjoy David, you just feel like one.

Evangeline tells Todd if she accepts then she gets a free hand in the appeal. He tells her she still can't attack Blair. She says that Blair's part of the trial is over. If he wants her, then no conditions. He says fine. She gets a call telling her that the jury reached a verdict and the court will reconvene in the morning.
