Johns asks Jess if she's seen Haver. She wants him to leave her alone. He says she's responsible for Haver missing, and he tells her to stay out of it. Jess complains to Nat about John. "I know you have this thing for him, Natalie, but he's obsessed with this case." Thing? I don't have a thing. Nat says the last thing she wants in her life is love. It hurts too much to open up to someone and then lose them. And John doesn't want anyone in his life either. He knows what it feels like too.

Rae tells Haver that his mother is his next victim which is whom he's killing repeatedly. She says he can't forgive his mother for abandoning him, so he keeps punishing other women. But she knows the killings don't help, because the pain and anger grow with each murder. "Let me help you, Stephen. You know I can, but you have to let me go."

Viki tells Jen she'll be kicked out of school if she doesn't start applying herself. However, if she tries to change some things in her life, she might be able to make it. Rex tells Nat he loves Jen. Nat doesn't understand why. Jen is a selfish liar, but Rex says that people probably said the same about Nat when she started dating Cris. Rex wants Nat's help to do something great for Jen, but Nat tells him he's on his own.

Bo tells John the footprints outside Haver's house match those at Flash's crime scene. Also, John talked to an orthopedist who gave Haver a prescription for a heel device to correct uneven leg length. John has another theory too. When the killer murdered Caitlin, John shot two bullets. He thinks one of the bullets may have hit the killer's leg which Bo says was already damaged from Haver's jump during his grandparents' fire. John may have made the leg worse, and Haver has wanted revenge ever since. John still thinks they might get some info from Troy. Maybe Haver hypnotized Troy to confess.

Haver tells Rae he wants to ‘roll play' with her pretending to be his mother. He makes her sit on the floor and sing with him. His mother sang all the time. He lays his head in her lap as they sing together, but he jumps up and says it didn't work. He kisses her on the cheek and says he still hates his mother. "Good night, Mother," he says as he turns out the lights.

When John and Bo question Troy about Haver, Troy erratically says that Rae asked him about Haver too. Almost zombie-like, Troy looks at the clock, slowly gets up, and starts to take some pills. The guards pull him back as Troy shouts repeatedly, "I need my medicine! I gotta have my medicine!" They realize he's programmed to take meds which are heavy hallucinogens. Another doc gives him truth serum, and John questions him alone. Bo listens outside as Troy tells John that Haver is his good friend but no one can know. Haver told Troy to keep meeting Gabrielle at The Bendin' Elbow, and he told Troy that Collin was inside making him do things. Dr. Haver told him to confess to the murders. Bo walks in, "Haver killed Gabrielle. He killed all of them."

Omg, goose bumps all over! Nat fantasizes about John (finally)! As she's bent over playing pool, John slowly runs a finger down her back, which is partly bare because of her short shirt. She slowly turns around, and he looks at her in such a HOT HOT way! He quickly jerks her up onto the pool table and kisses her passionately (can't wait till this happens for real!). Just as he lays her down and hovers over her, Jessica interrupts Nat's fantasy. Nat slowly comes out of her dream-like state with a faint wistful smile.

Haver lays Rae's body on the floor, and maybe I'm mistaken, but she's dead. He circles sheets around her body and pours gasoline on them as he says, "I'm so invincible that I've killed you, and no one can touch me." He lights a match and starts the fire. "No one will ever know."

Haver enters Jess' apartment with the key he copied. Concurrently, Bo and John say, "There's no doubt about it. Haver's our man. We just have to find him." At that moment, Haver leaves Jess' apartment as she arrives home. "Dr. Haver?" she says. "Jessica," he answers with kind a smile.
