One Life To Live Recap: Feb. 19, 2004 By Kaydee

HEAVEN WILL WAIT–THE UNION BEGINS!

Marcie and Al, now as Michael, begin their journey in Angel Square. Michael appears to be unfamiliar with his surroundings, but Marcie gently reminds him of prior rendezvous they've had. The conversation turns to John. She asks Michael if he's spoken with his brother lately, and Michael says no, because John believes that the same killer who took his fiancee's life is the same one who is murdering the residents of Llanview, and he feels personally responsible for them. Marcie adamantly tells Michael that he CANNOT allow John to bear such a burden. He has to make an attempt to talk to his brother.

THE BUCHANANS: A CUP O' CHEER!

Asa & Renee join Kelly and Kevin at the Capricorn to celebrate his renewed nuptials. Asa also has an important announcement to make...He's resgning his position as CEO of Buchanan Enterprises, and he has just the right Buchanan in mind to appoint his successor. Kevin and Kelly beam happily. Kevin, while trying really hard not to appear the greedy weasel that he is, asks his grandpa if he's sure he's ready to retire. Both Renee and Asa assure the younger Buchanan that he is.

Asa tells him that seeing Ben in a coma, struggling to survive, gave him a new perspective on life. He apologizes for pushing Kevin into politics, and after a brief tug-of-war with words, Kevin accepts the position. (Surprise, surprise.)

MUSIC BOX KILLER: CAT AND MOUSE!

John and Bo sit restlessly in the Commissioner's office. John says that Stephen Haver should have been there by now. Bo attempts to assure John that they'll catch him, because he has officers covering every place that's associated with Rae and the psycho doc.

(Oh, SURE...THAT makes a difference! We all know how efficient the Llanview PD is!)

John worriedly says that he hopes that'll work, because if the psycho figures out that he's a suspect, it's over...

Now, let's go see what's going on with the psycho, shall we?

Well, whuddya know? DINGBAT, MEDDLESOME, IDIOTIC JESSICA is meeting with the doctor, snitching on the police to the KILLER!

(UM, STOOPID!! Ya think?)

She tells him EVERYTHING, people, ya hear? EVERYTHING!!!! How they're lying about needing him to consult on new evidence just to lure him to the office. How they suspect that he is the White Rose Killer, and how John found an old photo of that crime scene and found Stephen Haver in the crowd of reporters after blowing up the photo.

(AAAAARRRGGGHHHH!!! Could she be any MORE DUMMMBB!!)

Sorry, folks. Okay let's move on..

Stephen absorbs her information ad assures her that they made a mistake and he's headed down to the precint right now to straighten the foolishness out. He instructs her to go and sit n the courtroom with her family, where she's needed most. (Good advice too late.) They part ways, and she finds another conversation to put her nose in. We enter the courtroom to the rape trial.

LLANVIEW'S LAW & ORDER: TO CATCH A RAPIST??

There's a whole lot of loud outbursts going on as Todd announces that he's fired Evangeline and will represent himself. The judge, Evangeline, and Todd's support team all flip out. Are you crazy? You can't do that! Well, all was said to no avail. Todd is going to represent himself, and that's that. The judge calls a recess.

MUSIC BOX KILLER: CAT AND MOUSE:

John is more edgy now. He knows that somehow, Stephen is on to their scheme, and he knows that the psycho has got Rae somewhere..or worse..

Flash to Rae..she's tired and struggling to move a piece of furniture..

LLANVIEW'S LAW & ORDER-CONT'D:

Out in the hall, Blair's support team celebrates what they consider to be Todd's very foolish action. Blair doesn't seem so convinced.

Inside the courtroom, Evangeline and Todd's family try to convince him to reconsider his decision. No way! I told Evangeline not to attack Blair...Evangeline tries to defend her tactics, but to deaf ears. Anyway, I wanted to testify, she refused to permit that. I want to testify, and now I will. After a very long battle, Evangeline gives in. Just as she's about to pack her briefcase, the judge re-enters, and requests that she stay on Todd's table just in case Todd regains his sanity. She gives Todd on last opportunity to reconsider, and then the defense calls its next witness...Todd.
