Due to inclement weather conditions, I experienced a power outage in my neighborhood and was only able to get the second half. Here's what I got, and this recap will be updated as soon as I get to watch the replay. Sorry, guys!
Manning Madness!!
Starr is rudely dumped at Todd's feet by a rather agitated security officer. The guard informs Todd that his little princess was wreaking havoc over at the hospital and she insisted that she be brought to him. He apologizes to the officer and promises to handle the situation. The guard leaves the Mannings alone, and Todd tells his child to stop smiling. She proudly tells him that her plan to get the security officer to bring her to The Sun worked, didn't it?
Todd tells her very sternly that she can't keep getting into trouble to get him and Blair back together. If anyone were to find Starr anywhere near him, he'd be hauled off to jail. Then he suddenly asks her if she set him up.
WHAT! He changes the subject and again tells her to stop getting into trouble. She tells him then maybe he should call Blair. He doesn't want to THAT, he tells her. She mischievously tells him that he HAS to. He has to tell her that Starr is with him. Todd realizes that she's right and braces himself as he dials the number.
Flash to Blair...
She's having a meal with Kelly and Kevin at The Palace, complaining about having a bad headache when her phone rings. Todd tells her not to hang up. He just wants to let her know that Starr is there with him. Blair freaks out and asks him what is she doing there? She was supposed to be at the hospital! And why didn't anyone call me? They probably just had your home number. Look, she's here.. Fine, I'm on my way.
Blair hangs up and hurriedly begins to gather her things. Her cousins ask her what happened and she replies, Starr. And if I had a headache before, now I really have one. Later, she enters Todd's office and immediately rips into Starr.
"What's this I'm hearing from the hospital that you sprayed graffiti on the hospital wall?"
"I wanted to tell the world that Dad is innocent! He is, you know!"
Todd interjects, his eyes clearly telling us viewers that he's trying to score some brownie points with Blair, and tells Starr that painting graffiti on public property isn't going to help him. Hurt, Starr lashes out,
"I was trying to help you! Fine, I won't do it again!" Blair winces in pain, and Todd is immeidately concerned. What's wrong? Nothing's wrong with her, Starr says, She's faking so I can feel guilty. Todd pays no mind to Starr, and both are relieved when Todd's assistant announces that Hetty has arrived. Blair tells Starr to go wait with Hetty so she can talk to Todd.
Todd is again concerned when Blair holds her head in pain, and he asks her how long she's been having the headaches. She barks at him to mind his own business and focus his attention on Starr. Todd ignores her outbursts and repeats his question. She snaps that the pain began on New Year's Eve when he attacked and raped her and made her hit her head, remember? He reaches out for her and she pushes hm away, heading for the door and fai9nting in the doorway.
She's out for quite a bit a bit of time, and when she comes to, Todd forcibly takes her to the hospital. When they get there, the doctor briefly asks her to describe her symptoms, and she tries to tell the doctor that her frantic hubby is overreacting, but the doctor tells her that tests will have to be taken nonetheless.
LLANVIEW'S LAW & ORDER: THE CROSSOVER EPISODE:
Story A: To Be, Or Not To Be, A Rapist:
Evangeline and her old colleague, (sorry, I never caught his name), are sitting at a table having a serious conversation about old, and new times. He makes a sarcastic reference to RJ, to which she responds that she doesn't know where she and RJ are headed, but she is certain that she doesn't want to lose him, (the doctor colleague), as a friend. Is he okay with that? He tells her that he's insulted that she needed to ask that out loud. She's relieved, and tells him that she doesn't know what she would have done if she'd lost his friendship.
She goes on to tell him that she took a case that she now has second thoughts about, and she thinks her client may be guilty. Doctor Pal makes a POOF! Gesture and says that his "crystal ball" is telling him that her anonymous client is Todd Manning. From what he knows, Todd has prior history in the sexual assault category. Evangeline sternly reminds him that the rape was a brutal one. It was a horrible gang-rape of a former Llanview coed, and she supposes that if you live in this town you can't help but hear about it.
The doctor tells her that he didn't come by that info by way of town gossip...he heard it from the victim herself. WHAT! Evangeline replies in shock, You know Marty Saybrooke? HOW? She used to wrok at the hospital I did my residency in. She was in and out for a while there. She's doing great now. She's a psychiatrist.
