Nora and Lindsay awkwardly hold a civil conversation about the situation. Lindsay asks Nora if they're even on the gun charges. Nora says they are unless Lindsay is hiding more firearms. If so, she's reminded that the deal is a one-time offer. Lindsay gratefully accepts those terms and says she's not looking to get into any more trouble. Good, then we're even. Great. So, Lindsay says, Do you think we'll ever get Troy out of our lives? Nora laughs, and Lindsay pats her arm before leaving.
A disturbed John returns to Nora, who is upset by his expression. What's the deal, John? My bosses from the bureau want me to close this case. They said Troy is the man and they want me back at my desk by tomorrow or I'm suspended. UH-OH! Nora says. They're not convinced with your Troy theory?
No, and I already know who's next. I just don't want answers from a corpse. And I've been thinking...there's just too much evidence, too much neatly-packaged evidence, against MacIver. I mean, have you ever seen such a thick stack of circumstantial evidence so neatly compiles against one person without something being fishy?
You think that Troy has a friend? No, Nora. I'm starting to think that Troy's crazy babbling is true, and someone IS setting him up!
Flash over to the Gallery...
Lindsay steps off of her elevator and notices that her gallery door is ajar..she slowly goes inside and finds a painting from one side of the wall sitting on the floor on the opposite side of its place. She slowly looks down at the painting, and finds a can of spray paint on the floor beside it. She robotically grabs the paint can and slowly walks to the other side....where a spray painted picture of sheet music is sprawled across the wall where the befallen painting once hung!
