Flash over to the precinct..With Dr. Ray-Rae silently watching over her shoulder, ora frantically stares out of Bo's office window, fearfully awaiting Bo's return with an update on Matthew, or
better yet, Matthew himself. Bo and John McBain return, without Matthew. Nora goes off on a panicked tangent about only staying behind because the men assured her that getting Matthew back was a a sure thing. Rae comes over, (Uh-oh!), and reminds Nora that she knows Bo will do all he can to get Matthew back safely. (I'D sure feel confident with Ray-Rae's advice!) Flash over to Troy.. He is talking to himself about not being able to trust Nora, which Matthew says he can trust Nora. Troy tells Matthew that he's sorry for taking him, but he can't let him go until he makes everyone understand that he's not who they think he is. He didn't kill those women, and he doesn't know why he said that he did. Matthew calmly asks him, Who did? Troy says he doesn't know..it's almost exactly like when Colin....it has to be someone who's been spying on his every move..You believe your old pal, Dr. Troy, don't you? Matthew calmly says that he does. Troy's a doctor, and docs don't hurt people. Troy relaxes, trying hard to fight the fatigue that is overtaking him. Matthew suggests that he just go to sleep. Troy says, no way, he'll try to run away. "Run away?" the cute little boy says, "Are you crazy? I'll get lost? I don't even know where I am? Just go to sleep. Mom always tells me that sleep makes thing better when you can't think." Troy takes the bait. He falls asleep and clever little Matthew creeps over to the foot of the bed...pulling out a map and a flashlight from his backpack. He quietly rushes out the door, heading straight back to the precinct. His mother was just about to faint with terror after hearing Professor Steve tell her that based on the profile he'd been given of Troy, there was no chance of Troy surrendering Matthew on his own, they would have to get him back..and soon.
After a few moments of relieved bear hugs and kisses, John asks Bo and Matthew if he can ask Matthew some questions. They ask all the routine questions about what Troy had to say that Matthew could remember, and with Marcie's brother's help, (since he found Matthew on the side of the road flashing his flashlight), they were able to find Troy's hideout. We end with Troy pleading with the police not to shoot him. He didn't commit the murders, but he knows who did.
Tune in next week, folks!
