Hit any news site on the Internet covering anything on the cancellation on the soaps and you will find hundreds of comments that basically say the same thing - "What a mistake ABC!"
I honestly cannot believe how ABC seems to keep ignoring the viewers who tune in to their network, and more importantly pay their bills. Are they delicately trying to sabotage their own future?
I have kept my personal view on ABC's decision to end OLTL pretty quiet, basically in hopes that OLTL did in fact have a future. However, at this point I hate to admit it, but things look pretty grim. And what really gets my goat (Is this saying even used anymore?), is the fact that ABC replaced our favorite soap with a reality show! Really? How insulting is that to soap viewers?
The fact is ABC and the hosts of the new show, The Revolution, think they know all about us and what we really need. They couldn't be more wrong! So sit back, and read my own thoughts on these "so-called" experts and my own "revolution" of what's to come. And please, by all means, continue to express your own views too!

ABC you want a REVOLUTION you got it ….it’s been 4 horrible days without me watching MY show … for 42 years I have watched live or taped or more recently DVR’d One Life to Live … I cannot believe you cancelled this great show full of history and family .. I know I am not the only long time viewer out there …. I will no longer watch any of your daytime line up until you bring back OLTL … NBC do you hear me … bring this 42 year loyal viewer along to your daytime lineup …. bring our wonderful families of Llanview to NBC …. I will watch MY story for another 43 years …. Long Live OLTL on NBC !!!!
I would like to know how ABC finds Tim Gunn qualified to give what The Revolution calls “life changing advice” with only a BFA in sculpture. And how Ty ‘Gary’ Pennington has the credentials to do anything at all on this show with only a diploma (whatever that means) in art. We should expect better. OLTL won countless awards and Emmys. Even Dr. Phil has a Ph. D.
I thought that;that was all about cable,reality chanel,cooking,design,you get the drift..so why do we have to give up our hours of our soups who have the bast rateings also when these shows have their own darn channels. Thay can’t help that their better and more enjoyable to watch! Yes I rather watch Blair or John make a cake then Martha or some other guy I don’t know or can’t understand anyways,or talks to fast.
There’s books out there for that stuff,Who’s going to cook and watch tv??
Abc this is the stupidist thing you ever did …but it’s maybe still early enough to get your actors back and cond your soaps…

I can’t tell you how happy it makes me to know that “The Revolution” will hopefully be a flop. Do the ABC people think that all of us soap fans were kidding. I’ve been a soap fan (AMC/OLTL) for 30 yrs). I for one will never again support any show on ABC. You take away from us, we take away from you. Put that in your pipe and smoke it!!!!!!!!!! And that goes for “The Chew” too.
The revolution against ABC/Disney actually started the day the cancellations were announced last April. ABC/D no longer wants AMC and OLTL. REALLY CANCELLING ONE LIFE TO LIVE WAS A STUPID MOVE. YOU WANTS OR NEEDS ANOTHER TALK SHOW. CAN YOU SAY REPEAT, ONE THING IS FOR SURE THEY MESSED UP MY DAY.
