"I think we were cheated out of family scenes of Todd and Victor learning to deal with each other. Instant brother humor was lost. I think it sucked that they brought Victor back last seconds of the show. No I won't be watching ABC daytime except for General Hospital. Going to other networks for soaps."

This fellow OLTL fan couldn't have said it any better! I agree, the fans were terribly cheated from what could have been a really exciting reunion between these two brothers. And what about Allison Perkins? How did she get Victor? Was this part of Mitch or Irene's plans, or did she act alone? And then we have Tomas and Tea? It sure would have been nice to see Victor reunite with his wife and unborn child. Plus, did Tomas have a chance of getting back together with Blair? Man, the more I think of the different possibilities the more upset I get in thinking what we have lost.

Recaps for OLTL finale...

Ron Carlivati is the worst writer this soap has ever had. He turned Patrick and Marty’s romance in Ireland in Ireland into a terrorists and a psyco killer, Clint into a felon, and kids into killers. he can’t write great romances like Ben and Blondie instead replacing them with teen sex. He reused old plots over and over, but disrespected the soap’s rich history. He pushed his own social and political agenda onto the show. At the end there were way too to many loose ends. He had nine months to wrap everything up but squandered it on useless characters that went nowhere like Baz, Rick, and Kim. Why did Starr go to LA? Bringing the Mannings to GH is a cheap gimmick to get One’s 3 million fans to watch this mess of a show to increase it’s lousy ratings. And the Revolution is a joke. Tim Gunn doesn’t have the credentials to do this kind of show only having a BFA in sculpture and Ty Penningotn only has a diploma in commercial art.

I agree with Keith. months were wasted on stories that went no where like the porno and Starr’s signing career and her porno video. That jailbait video was offensive and disgusting, beneath quality of the show. I’m sorry, but Kristen Alderson can’t sing. The theme song should have been sung by Kassie DePaiva or Kathy Brier, who are terrific.

I always said RC was and still remains a lousy writer, he isn’t creative at all, he’s completely clueless about the show’s history, how he kept his writing job all these years is beyond me!

Starr & her Brother is only on the show because i or 2 of her parents are writers or some kind of producers. Starr could never act, from she was a kid. And I have written it b4.. her storyline was “NO GOOD”…not to mention boring. I always got up when they keep her scene on too long. But when Daniella came on I was glued to the TV. If she (Starr) goes to GH..its because of her connections, and we don’t need anymore brats in Port Charles. Not a fan of Christina. Molly is adorable, but just like Starr’s storyline. Its just plain stupid. And OMG!! What those writers did to Micheal’s character. THEY SHOULD BE ARRESTED. SOAP WRITERS ARE NOT WHAT THEY USED TO BE. THEY NEED TO WRITE WHAT THE VIEWERS WANT ..NOT WHAT THEY WANT.

By now I’ve cried all of my tears, got all of my angst out, OLTL is now a finished period in my life , unless someone wants to go in & revive it. My digust with the writers & planners, network brass, etc. and you still couldn’t let me have that final glowing brass ring offf the carosel, the one which Natalie & John & little Liam got married, plenty of bedroom hi-jinks after their wedding and adorable family shots of the McBains & Buchanans celebrating their nuptuals, GOD knows how long I’ve waited for them, and all I get for waiting for my reward after 6 or 7 years, they talk reunite, kiss, have sex, & John finally tells Nat that he hoves her which is more than he has told no-one else, so that’s something. Now I hear that Micheal Eason is moving to GH, is he going to be there to save the already dead Liveymy opion is this is a very angry bird to attack him & rive him back underground!

Now don
t start picking on Starr, she is a good upstanding tean, I don’t understand why the writers have to mess with her musical talents as well as add a pornographer in the mmix, I’m just glad that Cole is back in her life & will strear her clear of the pitfalls of bogus Hollywod scamers. Also now that the REAL Todd is in the picture assisting the couple, it would have made some awesome story=telling of the trials and tribilations of a control Dad learning how to cope with the new man in his beloved daughter’s life, including some cuteness between Hope & her grandfather!

The writers have a perverted mind!!! Not the talented, intelligent and created writers we used to have! Today…they stink!

I just feel cheated out of the entire show. I used ti be a devoted fan of all three ABC soaps, but in recent years, OLTL had become my MAIN soap. I quit watching GH a few years back due to all the mob stuff and the decimation of Luke and the show’s history. I feel like a person who finally got out of a bad neighborhood (Port Charles) and moved to the top neighborhood (Llanview) and now someone is forcing me to leave my good neighborhood and move back into the BAD one. But, I will watch GH to see what RC and FV are going to do. Maybe—-maybe—-they can salvage it. I agree with others who felt cheated regarding OLTL’s storylines though. I had so wanted to see Victor and Tea reunite and for her to give birth to his child. I wanted to see Viki and Clint get married with David Vickers standing up for her! How funny would that have been? Oh well. One thing I know for sure. I will never watch The Spew or the “other one”. Never. Btw, Ty Pennington was making an appearance at a casino down here and for one brief moment, I was tempted to show up wearing my OLTL tee shirt. Ha!

(9) Carol Jauch says:

Well it has been one week without OLTL, and I do not like it at all. OLTL was an oasis during my day, whether a good or bad day I always looked forward to what would be happening in Llandview, where I could totally escape and just enjoy the fun, romance, and drama. Even my husband (who initially made fun of me for watching a daily soap) got hooked, and definetely knew who Todd Manning was.
I will not be watching View/Revolution, and ABC in general will not get my support.
Dr. Oz has two shows a day?! One of those shows a repeat. Couldn’t the schedule have been moved around a little and OLTL kept on the air?
Very disappointed in Ohio.

I just can not believe all the total BS.I will never watch anything that will fill the time slot of our soaps. They need to just bring AMC & OLTL back. My husband would even watch the soap with me at times.I did cry and laugh. My teenage daughter would get home every day after work and school and watch the recorded soap. She was even upset when she saw how the Victor came back at the end with the crazy Allison Perkins OMG what was that. We Were So TOTALLY CHEATED.

No surprise Revolution is failing. So many talk shows on nobody wants to see another one. I miss One Life To Live hoping another channel picks them up. Prospect probably won’t work. Not everyone has a computer and its just not the same.

(12) GariAnne says:

Like Carol, I planned my afternoon around “my soap.” It was Mom’s, and then Gram’s, hour to sit and get away from the reality of a busy, child-filled household. Everyone, even my 5-yr-old grandson, knew not to bother Gram’s during her story. And now they all notice how grumpy I am. What ABC doesn’t seem to understand is that each soap, even primetime soaps, create and exist in their own universe. Anything and everything is possible, as long as the writers stay true to the established rules of that universe. This is what the viewers are responding to. That is why they are so fiercely loyal to one, maybe two, soaps. You can’t just switch them out, no matter how many actors you move. How are the Mannings going to fit into the mob senarios of GH? Like many, I quit watching GH when it changed formats to accomodate the “gangsta” scene. I will not watch the replacement shows. They don’t appeal to me. And while 200 shows may seem like an eternity, ABC will certainly have enough time to think over it’s mistake.

I agree with most of the other coments. I hated the ending, it was as if the show was going to continue. I hope this might mean they are considering bring it back. A lot of the story lines they brought in (ie) The porn story was just plain stuped. What were they thinking? The fact is they needed new writers to lead the story in a good direction. I do believe some of the reunions etc. took to long to happen.

(15) TL Savage says:

I’m so disappointed in the newwork for this decision. I stay home during the day and honestly without ” all my children” and “one life to live” my days are boring and I will never watch these ridiculous new shows that replaced my 30 years of absolute devotion to ABC and its day time schedule. I guess I’ll change my shift at work and go daylight no need to stay home during the day. I do love general hospital, but I can get home in time for this show. You have actually changed the way others look at day time enterainment and I do believe if these specific shows are not brought back, ABC will no longer have any true followers. Shame on You!
