In an effort to forge a united front among the soap fan community I've compiled a list of the most recent articles, links, contacts, news and videos which are of great interest. Let's continue to write letters in support of our soaps, especially to those in Disney Management and the advertisers. In order to make the greatest impact these are the folks we need to get our letters to.

40 years and i’ve stuck it out with amc and oltl it is like trying to replace children, it can never be done; wake-up abc. When your children isn’t everything you want will you get ride of them, don’t take ours amc and oltl, been in my family for as long, will always love the soap actors and actresses = good, bad, and crazy characters. Leave home on abc, please don’t destory anymore history, I’ve learn thru the soaps growing-up about people, places ,and friendship, these are great friends of mine, let it be. From grade school to now getting home to see amc and oltl was a great part of my life and so many others in our home. As Spike would say: Do The Right Thing……… ABC or good-bye sweet heart it’s t5ime to go….. abc.
most people that watch these shows record them and watch them after a work day. I do not know how this Neilson rating works, but clearly ABC is not hearing the fan outrage!
I have watched Soaps from when I was a very young kid sitting at my grandmothers feet. I have watched amc and oltl since their beginnings. I don’t get it ABC, why are you insisting on shooting yourself in the foot with the stupidest scheduling change you have ever made. You have been threatening the viewers with this possibility since the early 2000’s over rating issues that were not real. Pay attention to real demographics, the youth craze is slimming out with the baby boomers soon to be the biggest group of the audience for all networks. There are networks of cooking shows and talk/reality shows, why do we need more? As it is your programing needs a severe overhaul. Why are you taking off the only thing I watch on your station. Ever though of turning these shows into one a week prime time
shows, that might help your ratings. The idea of canceling them all together is insanity. If that happens then you have lost another ABC netwock viewer since you just don’t have anything else I want to watch. Brian Frons should be fired since he does not know or care what viewers want. He is just pushing his own agenda for a while now. Sorry ABC but you are really Clueless.
I agree with what Debbie says; we don’t need anymore reality/talk shows or cooking shows or even paid programming shows. I record the two shows that I do watch, which is OLTL and Days and when I get off work it is the one thing I look forward to watching when I get home. I can’t even stand these comedy shows that they have on at night there not fun just stupid. So I enjoy watching the soaps and I feel like there apart of my family, because I’ve seen them grow up like Starr for example was just a baby and now she has her own baby. Or cheering Todd and Blair on for so many years. There married and than there not and than you cheer them on again, because you feel happy for them and so on. I know it’s just a story, but we get excited for them and we want to find out what’s going to happen next. So PLEASE don’t take that away from us loyal soap fans.
I agree myself I have watched OLTL and Days for so long now that I really can’t remember when I started, but it’s like watching your own kids grow up your there every day watching them, cheering them on and being excited for them and waiting to see what’s going to happen next. I can’t see myself not watching them besides watching the kids grow up it was even nicer to see the older ones grow in the show has well. Like look at Viki and Dorian they couldn’t stand each other and now there friends. At least for now they are, who knows what will happen next, but I want that to be open to not have that taken away from us.
The excitement has to what’s going to happen next day, next week is part of the enjoyment of watching soaps. Even if most of us records the shows to watch at night, because we have to work for a living doesn’t mean are vote doesn’t count. (As far as the ratings are concerned.) So Please spare our soaps thanks from your loyal soap fan.
I HAVE BEEN WATCHING OLTL FORTY YEARS AND AM BEGGING YOU TO NOT CANCEL MY FAVORITE SOAP. I AM DISABLED AND IT BRINGS SUCH HAPPINESS TO MY STAY AT HOME LIFE. PLEASE HAVE THEM RECONSIDER AND TAKE GENERAL HOSPITAL OFF INSTEAD…
I am sick that ABC has not backed down on the decission to cancel OLTL & AMC. Do these people have rocks in their head? Can they not see that viewers are standing together
to keep the shows on? We will not give up. We will stay
after the sponcers until more of them join Hoover and pull their ads. With out advertisments to support their network
they will start feeling the pressure of lost income.
EVERYONE needs to keep the pressure on ABC. Let them
know that we will NOT STOP until we remove all doubt that OLTL & AMC are more popular that ANY realty show.
I am sick of all the cooking shows, therapy sessions, weight loss programs, news programs, reality shows and who’s your baby daddy shows I could scream! I want my soaps…AMC & OLTL!!!!! I have watched them for more than 30 years..if ABC cancels these programs I will remove ABC know my programming venue and encourage everyone I know to do the same…I will also boycott all companies and products that advertise on ABC…see how that sits with their ratings!!!!!
I feel the same way. ABC thinks cooking shows, talk shows & reality shows are the answere to everything. To me they STINK! When there is nothing else on, I watch my dvds. I believe if we stick together & urge the advertisers to boycott ABC, we can make a difference.
The only programs my family & I watch can be counted on one hand. The most are on CBS. The only thing I watch on ABC are my soaps.
Count me in if they go ahead with their plans to NOT be watching anything on ABC. ADVERTISERS follow the lead of HOOVER, and let ABC know you will pull your ads if they don’t back down. No matter what ABC says, they have to have their advertisers or they will go broke! HIT THEM WHERE IT HURTS< THEIR POCKET BOOK!
I won’t watch a bunch of turds with feet who don’t know how to take a bath or groom themselves. We don’t want anymore stupid health shows for pity sakes. We want entertainment. Not everyone wants to be a health freak! Now I know why so many people are in the hospitalsSICK!
