oltl was my favorite soap opra until the episodes of
2 men kissing, that is sickening and I will not watch anymore.I don’t like gays being put on every program I enjoy watching.everyone does not agree with that lifestyle.most people do not agree with that lifestyle.

Why is everyone so bent on the gay thing? Who cares. Actually, if you read the other posts & Youtube channels, that SL gets much support from viewers–sorry, but true.
Oh, Stacy & Kim are VERY good Kathleen, sorry, but I disagree with you on that as well.

I am anxious to watch Mitch. I have never watched him on the show before, though I have watched OLTL on and off over the years. What did bother me was that they made Jessica his daughter and that made me stop watching. With the writing being much better, I am willing to give it a chance to see how it all pans out.

In reference to the “Gay” storyline. I LOVE IT! I think this s/l has been told with honesty and purity unlike any other soap has done. The performances by Brett, Scott and Nick are the best I have seen in daytime. Some are bothered by the subject matter and that is your right but gay people reflect our society and I for one am pleased and proud they are reflected in my favorite daytime soap.

    (6) robbie says:

oltl has been a favorite of mine for many years, and for them to now add love scenes with gay men or gay women is not what oltl has been about all these years.gays should have their own soap on logo and not change what we have been watching faithfully for years.seems like somebody’s trying to push their lifestyle on people that do not accept it.and never will.

Now that Forbes Nash (Mason-ATWT) is free from his role…does this mean he is returning to OLTL as Nash???? Oh please say yes….oh please say YES!!!

    (8) Jay says:

I’ve watched for years, but I’m about to stop. I don’t care for the Rex/Stacy storyline, could care less one way or the other about the gay issue, but bringing Mitch Laurence back is about my limit. If Jared in fact dies…I’m done!

It surprises me that people get that bent out of shape over a gay storyline, like another poster said it reflects our society. I think they have some excellent writers on the show now and that story is being written very well and the actors are excellent (one of them is actually straight), I really started watching oltl because of the pending pairing of Cris and Layla and I like that the 4 of them have become friends.

    (10) Darryl says:

Take a look at the sentence structure and grammar of the comments supporting the gay storyline compared to that of the homophobes.

Which group do you think oltl WRITERS are going to cater to?

DURP IM AN AMERICAN AND GAYS ARE GROSS, QUICK GETS ME ANOTHER SWANSON MEAL

grammer may not be perfect, still don’t make homosexuality correct.read the bible.

    (12) Nancylp1111 says:

I love when people throw the Bible out there as a way to justify thier biases. You do know the KKK used the Bible as justification for what they did too right? This is my take on homosexuality, and this is coming from a 61 yr old straight woman. Most people aren’t going to choose to be gay they just are. God created them just as he created us. Billy Graham used to be a minister for several Presidents, when Reagan was the Pres and there was some gay legislation coming up he was asked if homosexuality was a sin, he said yes but so is judging others and God doesn’t specify which is the greater sin, so if I were a Cristian I would be very careful about throwing stones.

I like having Mitch back…adds a little excitement. There HAS to be SOMEONE to hate on the show or it isn’t a soap. The gay storyline would have been fine had it not turned ‘political’. I watch my soap to get away from that. It does seem the writers are throwing their opinion in our face. I honestly don’t care if two of the same sex get married. I do believe you are born gay, you don’t choose to be that. I don’t mind a little kiss but don’t care for a steamy love scene. I don’t want my soap being a vessel for the writers to get their message out. Why must they offend half of the people who watch them? Can’t be good for ratings….The show can’t be cancelled or I’ll have nothing to watch while I run on the treadmill :o

I don’t know anything about the Mitch story line, but he sure is creepy!!!! I just can’t believe how icky he really is. When he was talking to Jessica and Natalie and kept saying he wanted to get his “family” back together…ish. It makes for great watching!!!! I know those of you who are way back watchers are not happy about him being back, but I like it.

HOW great was it that we got to see Marcy and Mikes baby? I loved it. Thank you TPTB!

AndreaSctind – Isn’t it great to see happy people for a change? It was good to see Marcie and Michael again. There’s been too much misery lately.
