Give Todd a break. Todd wanted to do the right thing.He just does not know how.Remember what a nut he was raised by.
Todd did not rape Marty,he made love to her,after I might add she begged him to.It is plain to see Todd loved Marty and wanted to tell her the truth.

I think this whole Todd raped Marty thing could turn out to be a big mess that will eventually INFURIATE fans.
IMHO, I do not think Todd raped Marty. Marty was the one who wanted to have sex, and she CONSENTED to it. However, given the fact that she did not know WHO she was having sex with, I;m sure she WOULD NOT have consented. I believe Todd has truly fallen for Marty, and he did not want to hurt her.
Not to sound harsh against the issue, but I am SO over the rape issue concerning Todd. It happened 16 years ago, and while that was a huge part of his life, I feel Todd has moved and that one act should not define who he is.
I just think the writers have opened up a whole can of worms with this one, because all fans will be divided on whether Todd should be prosecuted for rape again
It seems to me all Todd is being defined by is the rape.
I blame the writers for not allowing this charcter to move forward. Todd raped Marty years ago and over the years he has tried to redeem himself.
He should not be defined by that one act.
I hope no one of you or your family ever have to deal with a rape. It’s something the victim will NEVER get over or forget about… yet people actually have the gall to say that since Todd has moved on, that’s all there is to it??? I know this is a soap opera and really just a story… so the story itself doesn’t bother me. However, it’s the real people who are not part of a story who post on here to say that we should just move on because Todd has, it what truly bugs me. When Marty is able to move on and forget all about the rape, that’s when it should be a thing of the past… and not one day before.
I am so tired of of llanview. Todd did not rape Marty. He did’nt even want to sleep with her. And not for nothing but llanview seems to forget the things that Blair use to do like being the biggest gold digging tramp of the town leaving asa for dead and now all of sudden she’s better than todd? And what about marty. Marty use to be the town drunk always partying and getting into trouble. Remember what she did to andrew carpenter? She lied on him saying that he sexually forced himself on her when in fact it was the other way around. I don’t like what the writers are doing with todd. He made a mistake 16yrs ago and has been paying for it for to long. Someone needs to set marty and blair straight about their past and let todd get some redemption for once.

I was so glad when I came back to work today and saw all the comments defending Todd.
If Marty had loved Todd like he did her they could still build a life together.
All though Todd did start out all wrong, he is Todd,from an abuseive back ground hisself.
Jamie Dellila if you could write a competent sentence i would respect your opinion. but your butchered english is annoying me and i dont know what ur saying. todd didnt rape marty…lke the other posted comment said, he didnt want to have sex with her at first.
I am so tired of Todd being the scapegoat for everyone’s mistakes and stupidity. Everyone else gets away with murder(literally)- getting off with a slap on the wrist, and then welcomed back into the town fold.
1. Marty BEGGED Todd to sleep with her, and not once questioned why he said he did not want to hurt her. Is Cole really better off knowing that his mother is alive and can’t remember him?
2. If Saint McBain was so perfect, how was it that he had no clue Marty was alive? He was on the accident scene…didn’t he check to make sure she was dead and not suffering? How did Ramsey manage to steal her out from under John’s nose, since John and Cole were right there on the scene?
3. Todd is not responsible for Tess stealing the baby. Clint spurned Dorian viper, who stole B.E. and revealed Jared’s lie, Jared killed Nash(it was murder, even if it was not premeditated), which caused Jess’s relapse to Tess. And why did Vickie(with the exact same illness), not have a clue about the possibility of Tess reappearing…?maybe because she was pining over Charlie.
I don’t approve of Todd’s actions and misdeeds, but I am swayed to his side because of the unfair way he is treated compared to the way other characters’ misdeeds are treated. I would like to see Todd get a break, be happy and in true love. Let some one else be the town scapegoat for a while.
